Reporter good morning, annemarie. Here is the investigation. The focus into the loss of this plane focuses on two individuals that boarded the plane. One of these appears to be an iranian seeking asylum. Someone who was holding one of these passports planning to head to germany to seek asylum. The Malaysian Police chief said its not believed to be any member of any terrorist groups. This information comes as the search for this missing plane widened significantly. And it does look like its focusing now on the western part of malaysia which is the opposite side of the country from where the jet took off. The search for flight 370 is expanding. Crews are now focusing their efforts in the waters off the west coast of malaysia. And in vee yet vietnam search and resue teams are also hitting land. The u. S. Is among ten nations working together to find the missing Malaysia Airlines jet and 230 people on board. Right now, by my estimates, were looking at hundreds of miles so time is not on our side because that rather is indeed narrowing by the hour. Reporter the malaysian airliner went off the grid after taking off from kuala lampur for beijing saturday. Since then possible plane debris have yielded nothing. Authorities are looking into the identities of two men who boarded the plane with stolen passports purchased by a third party in thailand. Investigators have identified one of the men as a 19yearold iranian who does not appear to have ties to terrorism. We believe that hes trying to migrate to china. Reporter one of three american passengers on the plane was philip wood. He was planning to relocate to malaysia with his girlfriend. I want some answers, but but i also dont want an answer. Because an answer is the end, right . Reporter distraught relatives of passengers in beijing are also demanding answers and say they may take their complaints to the malaysian embassy. Now, the fbi is also expecting to be checking the thumbprints of these two male passengers against criminal data basis. Russian forces reinforced control over crimea, a convoy of russian vehicles made its way through yesterday. Russia now controls most military installations in crimea. A rock climber is recovering this morning after a dramatic cliff side rescue monday. The 23yearold man was hurt after falling 50 feet on north carolinas mountain. Peverley had surgery in the fall to correct an irregular heartbeat. The condition caused him to miss a game last week. Theres been no makeup game to finish last nights game.
