They claim holmes methodically armed himself with an extensive arsenal starting two months before the massacre, he then set up an elaborate booby trap inside his home designed to cause more death and injury. Prosecutors also played the chilling and desperate calls for help from holmes victims. Teresa garcia reports. A detective testified he counted 30 gunshots during the first call, which lasted 27 seconds. Another call came from a teenaged cousin of 6yearold victim veronica mowsersullivan.
