They wonder what happens in the next rainy season. Officials are trying to sign contracts for the Construction Company to rebuild the storm damaged spillway. They expect it to be finalized in 10 days. The massive project could cost up to 1 billion. This is the kind of project it would take two or three years to design and two or three years to build. So we are going to do this in about nine months. The dwr claims that the repair work will make the spillway much stronger than it was before. So it will be able to withstand extra water from strong storms. Homeowners in parts of florida and georgia are facing some costly repairs after possible tornadoes hit them.
