Now, what a way to start your first year of college. [chuckling] more than 800 freshmen were supposed to move into their new dorm but instead take a look, they are going to be moving into these Old Buildings. They are known as the bricks. They were built back in the 1960s and a spokesman even said they are near the end of their life. They are even slated to be demolished in a couple of years to make room for a new building. Now, the students were supposed to move into their new dorms called the Campus Village 2. It has its own laundry and rec room complete with air hockey and ping pong. But there were some construction delays despite crews working double shifts seven days a week. Now those freshmen cannot move in for another month. So what exactly is the University Going to do to compensate these students . Well, they say they are going to charge them less for living in these dorms for the next month. The rate unknown. But what we do know is that rents for the new building are supposed to be 16,000 a school year. Live in san jose, maria medina, kpix 5. A statue depicting donald trump without clothes is gone from an intersection from San Francisco. It was removed this morning for safety reasons. San francisco Officials Say it attracted so many people they were getting in the way of traffic. The likeness appeared yesterday at 17th and market. Scott weiner a member of San Franciscos board of supervisors is hoping for a new location for the statue. Lefty odouls will take it. At this point theres no official word on the statues current location. Three major wildfires continue to rage across the state this morning. The good news is, the firefighters thousands of firefighters right now on the front lines are making progress against each one of these fires. The bluecut fire has burned through 31,000 acres in 48 hours. Thats the one burning to our north. But with crews gaining ground a few of the people forced to evacuate have now been able to go back home and for some its intense. They waited days to find out if their homes were Still Standing and many counting their blessings this morning. There is nothing quite like a taste of homelessness. I cant i cant even describe to you the feelings. I mean, this loss of security. But she is one of the lucky ones because her home is Still Standing. In total, just under 35,000 homes are still threatened by the bluecut fire in lake county. Firefighters know some homes have burned but they still dont have an estimate of how many. In lower lake the clayton fire has caused destruction with 190 Single Family homes burned to the ground. 200 other buildings are also destroyed. Firefighters have that fire 60 contained. They expect to have it fully contained sunday. Meanwhile, the soberanes fire in Monterey County is 60 contained at this hour. But thats after it burned through 79,000 acres and its still forcing evacuations. Firefighters there are telling families near the fire that they need to be prepared to leave at any time. She is accused of hacking a personal account impersonating her victims and extortion according to federal officials. A 15page indictment even suggests bankston told the kardashians that somebody was going to commit a massacre at their home. The document says she swore she had a sex tape of chris and that she sent it to a media website. A week after a tree branch fell on a San Francisco woman her husband learned she will never walk again. The 36yearold woman liked to take her two daughters to Washington Square park. She was there last friday watching her daughters play a game when a tree branch snapped and landed on her head. The tree limb weight 100 pounds and fell from a pine tree. Her husband says that the branch fractured his wifes skull and broke her back. Doctors told her that she never walk again. [ through translator ] her lower spine was broken. The doctor showed me the xray and said her lower spine separated into two parts. Her skull was injured too. Doctors removed some clots. They were afraid the clots [ indiscernible ] they would [ indiscernible ] her husband says that their daughters who are 5 and 9 years old are too distraught to go to school. Mosquitoes collected at the marina lagoon in san mateo tested negative for the virus. They treated the area after adult mosquitoes carrying the virus were discovered earlier this month. Officials say that there has been an 87 reduction in the virus in that area. No further treatments are planned. And fears over the zika virus have spread to california. An area in san diego will be sprayed this morning after mosquito larvae known to carry the zika virus were found in the south park area.
