It comes after hikers found more remains sunday along the fremont waterfront. The torso was found a week earlier by the dumbarton pier. The coroner says a right thumbprint from the remains found over the weekend matched dmv records and it is indeed her. She was last seen the day after valentines day by neighbors. Now, adding to this mystery, the coroner says there are more remains out there that need to be found. Brisbane police say titcheners husband, paul, remains the prime suspect in her killing. He jumped to his death from a bay bridge last week. Brisbane police say they are still trying to figure out the timeline of what happened. They are in the process of going through a mountain of evidence in the case. Thank you. The preliminary hearing for three jail guards accused of beating an inmate to death will now stretch into tomorrow. A Santa Clara County judge is weighing whether there is a probable cause for a murder trial. Correctional deputies jereh lubin, Matthew Farris and Rafael Rodriguez are charged in the death of michael tyree. He was beating to death inside the marin jail last summer. Outside the courthouse the sister spoke about losing him. I dont know what would possess somebody to do such a horrible thing to anybody. He was loved. Today current inmates testified at the hearing. He along with some other residents want to stay so they filed a formal appeal of the yellow tag process which he says could lead to legal action. Youre preparing for a lawsuit . We are. When they approached, the car, the driver, stepped on the gas and crashed through the gate, hit an electrical pole. He then put the car in reverse and slammed into the Police Squad Car injuring the officer behind the wheel. After a struggle, they arrested the suspect. Napa county is reporting its first case of zika virus. A pregnant woman who had traveled to Central America has tested positive. This is the 7th confirmed case of zika in california this year. It was an emotional reunion today here at the county Animal Shelter in san martin as charlie the dog was reunited with his owner. But as it turns out it will not be a lasting reunion. [ dogs bark ] reporter the last time he saw his dog charlie he wasnt sure if the dog would live through the night. Charlie not only survived, he sat up and wagged his tail the moment he saw his owner enter the kennel at the county Animal Shelter. He wagged. Knocked him out. I saw him hard hit. Reporter he and charlie are homeless and for the last year they have been constant companions living on the streets of san jose. Monday night, he was crossing the light rail tracks walking his bike with charlie trailing behind when a fastmoving train struck the bike and charlie. Sheriffs deputies were so moved when they saw the sad scene, that they began raising money to pay for charlies emergency vet bills. They also tracked down. Homeless man and drove him to the Animal Shelter to see his dog. I feel good. I feel good. Yeah. Because i know im just thankful that he is not he is still alive. Hes looking normal. Reporter but its turns out, the reunion will be a short one. The homeless man is giving charlie up. Couldnt stay there that long started getting all watery eyed. Reporter charlie was owned by a family who gave him up for adoption years ago. He has had two owners since then. The original owners have agreed to take him back. Its good. So everybody has agreed in charlies best interests that he goes back with the original family. I just want to see the best for charlie. He is 10 years old. And he should be living comfortable now. Living out his glory years. Reporter notes the best place for charlie is not on the streets with him. Things happen for irene maybe this is one of those incidents. I hate to have to happen like this. Things happen for a reason. Maybe its for the best. Reporter it might have been the best for romel, as well. He hasnt been able to find work partially because he has been taking care of charlie all this time. He was laid off from his job as a landscaper more than a year ago. He hasnt been able to find a job since. So he will go back to trying to find a job so he can get back on his feet himself. As for the go fund me campaign that raised over 9,000, a couple of thousand dollars of that money will be needed for charlies emergency vet bills as well as his continuing care that he is going to be needing. At this point, no one knows for sure the parties getting involved to decide how the money should be spent or, uhm, attributed as this story moves forward. The justices heard arguments today about a texas law that requires doctors have admitting privileges at hospitals and for abortion clinics to have the same standards as surgical centers. Opponents say its aimed at shutting down clinics. The state says it is about ensuring quality healthcare. The death of antonin scalia, the court could split at 44 allowing the law on the books to stand. On the healthwatch, about 20,000 women are diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer every year. And a new report is shedding light on how doctors might be able to catch it earlier and treat it better. Researchers now say Ovarian Cancer is not just one disease but, rather, different types of cancers that usually start in the uterus or fallopian tubes. The report calls for more genetic testing for all women with Ovarian Cancer and their families to detect and treat the cancer earlier. We have been telling more rain is in the forecast.
