Moving now to oakland we have some roadwork still out there right now fruitvale avenue that onramp to westbound 580 is closed until 6 a. M. 14th avenue onramp to 580 is closed, as well. Moving at 20 Miles Per Hour, then up to 30 once you hit north flynn road from 205 to westbound 580 into livermore where it frees up a bit but then you got the dublin interchange and heres a live look at that slow traffic. To you. Thank you. This morning, we know the price tag to repair a huge crater in one road in Santa Cruz County. It happened after storms. Caltrans says it is going to cost an estimated 29. 5 million to repair it. Caltrans says this project is part of 866 million in damages to roads across the state. One man who has lived along this highway for 50 years says his trips to nearby saratoga dont happen as often now because of that washout. [ pause ]. Going downtown but i dont like going the way i have to go. Its a pain. Caltrans says it is going to be meeting late today to analyze that almost 30 million price tag. Officials could also decide on different options they have to get that road fixed. One of them would be to build a new bridge over the span of the hole. Today some survivors of the recent oakland fire that killed four people will have to find a new place to live. They are being evicted from their temporary housing. This san pablo avenue building caught fire last monday. Since then some former tenants were staying at a shelter at the woes oakland youth center. But tonight is the last night. The red cross says that emergency shelters are only short term solutions. The tenants have been told to visit a Client Assistance Center for more help. New this morning from russia, investigators searched the home overnight of a 22year old suicide bomber accused of killing 14 people on a subway in st. Petersburg this week. Investigators say he wore an explosive device that exploded on a train on monday. Russia says that six people have now been arrested in the case for aiding terrorist activities. Happening this morning, an emergency meeting to discuss the chemical weapons attack in syria. Dozens died and hundreds of others hurt. The chemical was released in a rebel held town in Northern Syria yesterday. Officials say it came from weapons on the ground. U. S. Officials believe that the syrian dictator is behind the attack. This is on the city streets here in saw in moorpark avenue at Cypress Avenue closed in both directions as the San Jose Police investigate that fatal crash involving a pickup truck that ran into a sound wall around 3 45 this morning. Police are look for the man who shot and killed a woman as she was driving her kids to daycare that shooting captured on Surveillance Video yesterday morning in richmond. You can see the victims car pull up to a stop sign and moments later the suspect pulls up next to her and shoots. Police say she had a restraining order against her estranged boyfriend and he may be the killer. Heres a picture of him. 43yearold lawyer dushan mcbride. Police say the two kids who were inside the car were not hurt. They are now with relatives. In napa an investigation is now under way into a deadly officerinvolved shooting. Chopper 5 caught the aftermath here on linda vista avenue and bueno avenue. It started yesterday afternoon when 911 dispatchers got called about shots fired in the area. When officers got to the scene they say the suspect drove out of the garage and started shooting at them. Thats when a gun battle broke out in the west Napa Community one homeowner heard it in full force. I was standing over here and i heard 30, 40 shots. And i walked around here and all these cops were just coming in. After the suspect car slammed into a tree on the street, its horn went on for an hour. The chief of police in napa said several officers suffered minor injuries. The Trump Administration says the number of people trying to get into the u. S. From mexico is down by tens of thousands. The department of Homeland Security says that 12500 people were arrested trying to cross into the u. S. Last month. The agency says thats down from more than 58,000 in february.
