The demand letter has already been signed by nearly 400 faculty and Staff Members and about 3 dozen alumni have promised not to donate. But according to a study by Oxford University, even if all the schools in the country were to divest from fossil fuel it would only make a dent. Were not trying to economically bankrupt the fossil fuel industry. We are trying to socially and politically bankrupt the fossil fuel industry. Reporter yeah. Heres a picture of the man Police Believe was holed up in the hotel last night. 18yearold Jason Alexander brown wanted for murder in fresno and another shooting in livermore last month in the parking lot of a cvs store with every one man died and another was wounded. Earlier this morning a body was taken from the motel into the coroners van. Police have not officially confirmed if thats brown. This is the motel 6 off hegenberger near the oakland coliseum. Earlier in the evening, police had that motel surrounded and they evacuated part of it. They launched tear gas and walked the roof closing in on a second floor room. Starting next month, people whose cars have been stolen will pay a lower fee to recover them from a tow lot. That started when a uniformed off duty pilot for jetblue got on a new york bound plane. He spoke to an airport employee before boarding and was on the manifest but when the worker heard at that time pilot of the plane wasnt on board he thought the uniformed man might be an imposter or someone unauthorized so as a precaution that plane was towed to a remote area and bomb squad was called. Spirit airlines removed four middle eastern passengers from a chicago bound flight. Flight was about to take off from baltimore on tuesday. Someone on board reported the passengers were acting suspiciously. The plane returned to the gate and it turns out one of them was watching a news report on his phone. The four passengers were questioned and released. The plane took off three hours later. In a statement, spirit says, it does not tolerate discrimination and says, quote, the passenger in question was removed from the flight because of his behavior which was breaking airline and faa rules during the taxiing process and refusing to cooperate with crew instructions. You can certainly count on the usual delays for westbound 580. And you can see some of those backups now along the yellow sensors along westbound 580.
