said that they should pay apple over 1 billion dollars. samsung did file a counter suit but the jury didn't find that apple had infringed on any of samsung patent. it's a lot of money at stake forth co-worker around the corner from the empire state be. shooter then walked towards bustling fifth avenue followed by construction worker who witnessed the shooting. that worker alerted to police life threatening. this is the second fatal police shoot thanksgiving month near a crowded manhattan tourist site. two week ago police shot to death a knife wielding man near time square as horrified into their house. >> my sister heard them and then l like because they kept on ringing our door bell and knocking. >> this ace common tactic used by thieves. they knocked and ring to see if anyone answers. if nobody comes to the cure they assume the house is empty. that's when they make their move. >> she looked and somebody had a crow bar. >>reporter: police say the men used the crow bar to break a lock and get in the house. once inside they knew medley that somebody else was there. so they went on a hunt to find them. >> they were like going through that the back so we just walked in the closet and hid. >>reporter: not only did they hide. but they also acted quickly. locking the closet from the inand calling 911 vl. >> i only heard like come out or else we are coming in. >>reporter: he and the sister stayed on the phone with the 911 operator. help arrived in less than 2 minutes. >> we were able to get there in time. scared the bad gees off and took them into custody. fireworks display. even the use of jet skis. and the shipping industry has well. the pacific mir khnt shipping association says it has no formal position on the proposal yet. they want to know more
