Note thats the bolt with a b, not the chevy volt with a v. The bolt is all electric. The volt is a plugin hybrid. Chevy says the bolt will be available by the end of the year. Now, the obvious comparison we need to make is with the tesla model through. The bolt is going to be a longrange car, 238 miles. Thats a long range for an electric car, and available by the end of the year. Meanwhile, the tesla full of mystery. We know it will have a slightly shorter range. We think it will cost about 35,000. And we have no idea when you will actually get to drive one. So bolt or tesla . Steve wozniak got a chance to drive the bolt. And he says tesla will have a difficult time selling me a model 3. Woz likes the folddown seats because it can carry his segue. You probably wont care about that. The bottom line, guys, i want you to think of the bolt as possibly a regular car. It happens to be electric. Its a regular sub compact car. Its expensive, but you can begin to start thinking less about gas and electric and more about the electric car. Thats where electric cars are really going to catch on. Also raising the Gold Standard for mileage on these cars. So exciting that tesla scared detroit into this. And they did. See movement there.
