New information about the moments before a police chase and an officerinvolved shooting in san jose left a man in critical condition. When out of the blue a man came at them with no clothes on. She says they had to run and hide until police came. We just came from school with my daughter and my daughters friend. And we get out from the car, and a man was walking to our side. Naked without clothes. A woman living near eva court didnt want to show her face on camera. She is upset and so is her 9yearold daughter. Yesterday before a police chase and shooting in san jose, a nude man approached, near her drive wave. Of course, kids never see that kind of stuff. They are crying. A mom showed up and they ran and hid in a park across the street. Just come back. Just come back. They watched the erratic behavior and then police arrived. When he chased the lady from here with the kids, yeah, he was endangering her. Reporter the man struck several cars as San Jose Police pursued him. He stopped at a Shopping Center four miles away where police say he did not comply and aimed what appeared to be a weapon. Revved the engine. Three officers fired, striking him once. Nbc bay area obtained video of the shooting. We warn you you may find the images disturbing. The man was hospitalized in critical condition. The mother believes he rents a room on the block and says she has not had trouble before. Never. I just met him one time. And he was looking okay. Yes, right now, about 500 people have gathered here at gateway hall to pay their respects to a man they say helped thousand of kids in the south bay. They came to pay their respects to frank navaro, president of east ridge Little League and popular coach. Friend, family talked about how hard he worked to keep kids on the right track. And instill a love of baseball. He wanted to make eastridge great again. Bring the kids back. Get the Community Back out. He wanted to make the fields look nice again. You know, just beach out there. You know, it is our eastridge family. He came out with east ridge strong. Thats what we are. We are going to be strong forever. For him. Six members of a family have been charged with his murder. Today, navaros family say they just want justice. Investigators say earlier in the day the same man shot and injured a Police Officer north of paris before stealing a car and driving off to the airport.
