The creeks are behind you very full. Reporter yeah, thats right, i have to tell you when we were coming over the Golden Gate Bridge it was pouring. Now a light rain here. You can see the creeks are moving pretty fast here, certainly well below any flood stage. But more rain is on the way. Weve seen people stopping by to take a look saying this is more in line with what they would expect. Not the low levels theyve seen in the fouryear drought. With the rain weve seen it certainly left the ground saturated, as well. The Sheriffs Department reporting a big road closure of the fairfax road between meadow and ridge and it will be expected till monday to evaluate for repairs. Pg e is working around the clock to keep the power on across the bay area this weekend. More than 200 crews standing by. Heres the latest look at the numbers of outages in each city. In San Francisco right now, 248 customers are without power. In the south bay were down to just 11. East bay has an outage of about 814 customers. No power, the north bay, about 139. And now to the peninsula where 261 customers have no power tonight. Well, right in the middle of this latest storm, the demolition of that pacifica Apartment Building is under way so it wont go over the cliff and fall onto the beach below. Now, this has been a long time coming. The work should have been done by wednesday. But the city has been fighting with the owner of the building. This is located at 320 esplanade for almost six years now. Right next to another Apartment Building torn down last month and you can see why all of the strong surf and storms there causing the cliff to give way underneath. The foundation will remain as a way of stabilizing the cliff top probably until the summer and then it will be removed. Pacifica leaders say demolishing the building will prevent pollution and lead from falling on to the beach below. A man in custody after getting into a gun battle with San Jose Police near a 7eleven at the intersection of meridian and fruitdale. Police said they applauded the bravery of the officers shot at by the suspect. Its all happened shortly after 3 00 this morning near the intersection of meridian and fruitdale. Someone reported a man was shooting at them outside a 7eleven store. When Police Arrived they say the suspects car and tried to pull him over. The driver began firing at the officers, striking one of the vehicles at least once. The officers returned fire and the suspect was wounded and subsequently taken into custody. Reporter that suspect has been identified as 24yearold Steven Pedroza accused of three counts of attempted murder on a Police Officer. Pedroza is now recovering from n nonlifethreatening injuries. There was also a female passenger inside his ford mustang who was not hurt. She was taken into custody, questioned and later released. Three officers are now on paid administrative leave which is routine, internal affairs is also looking into the shooting as well as the independent Police Officer who will also investigate and chief garcia says the three officers involved in this shooting were not wearing body cameras. Allegedly then he pointed his gun at the officer who fired one round. That one bullet proved fatal. The alameda District Attorney has launched an investigation. So rainfall projections again for tomorrow highest in the coastal hills of the north bay. Temperatures tomorrow pretty much like we had today, upper 50s to low 60s and sevenday forecast shows 70s in reach. We wont get there for the weekend with the rain at times again tomorrow and for the north bay expressway specially. Up in the coastal hills of Sonoma County that may approach 2 to 5 inches of rain but notice how san jose is in the green. Less than a quarter inch of rain and what happens when you get this airflow pattern across the santa cruz mountain, a lot of rain here but the air drops down into and descends, dries into the Santa Clara Valley and picks up over the diablo range and more rain there and same pattern repeats in the sierra on the west slope, case in point what well see for projected snowfall totals for now and monday, up to four feet of snow perhaps there in the high country and here is the moisture supply between now and at least early monday, still aimed on the west coast as it will give us a chance of rain into monday morning but watch what happens here. High pressure building in and thats going to lead to a significant drying trend and warming trend that will put those temperatures spring forward by tuesday and wednesday. Upper 60s and low 70s in the forecast so a dry pattern taking shape for the middle part of the week, this after a very wet tart to march.
