On labor day, president obamas message to america . Lets get more labor friendly with higher wages. Youll hear opponents say, well, minimum wage, theyre going to kill jobs. Except, it turns out, the states where the minimum wage has gone up this year had higher job growth than the states that didnt raise the minimum wage. Thats a fact. But are those the facts . We decided to fire up the numbers of jobs created this year in states with and without a minimum wage hike in 2014. Heres what we found. 13 states increased their minimum wage this year as indicated by the dollar signs. According to the associated press, those states saw their job rates soar. 85 . The other states had a. 61 increase. He said job growth. Does he mean all jobs created . The states with the hike had 434,000 jobs. Those with out . Tacked on 900,000 jobs. So 13 states, accounting for a third of all new jobs is still pretty noteworthy. Its also noteworthy that california isnt included in the 13 states. Our minimum wage hike doesnt kick in until july. So theres not enough data yet. So states with the wage hike have fared well but are not outproducing all other states in job growth, if thats what hes claiming. So we will have that fog coming back for tomorrow. With that strong onshore flow in place, also the possibility of drizzle continuing into the morning hours. As we get a look at future cast, you can see the fog will be most prevalent here to the north bay counties, also back here for hoff yet, oakland. And a little fog may make it down towards pleasanton and danville. Patchy low clouds down to about palo alto, by the afternoon hours we get low clouds remaining at the coastline. Lets get a look. Weve been talking about the possibility of drizzle. As youll see throughout tomorrow, were not expecting drizzle to accumulate for the entire bay area. We may see trace amounts in Half Moon Bay of around. 02 of an inch. Most importantly, if youre headed down here to the south bay, expect some of the best weather. Sunny skies, 82 degrees, 86 in saratoga. And for the peninsula, 66. And over towards palo alto, sunny skies by the afternoon and 80. And after 70s in San Francisco this labor day weekend, were back down to the mid60s across the marina. Forest hills expecting 63. For the tri valley, 78 in santa rosa.
