Reporter the 49ers did act swiftly in cutting brock, the team and the nfl have been fighting an image problem, and the 49ers wanted this situation gone fast. 28yearold Tremaine Deshawn Brock was still a member of the 49ers when he left jail this afternoon. He had no comment. It wasnt that long ago we had seen happier images of brock, as well as interviews he did with nbc bay area news, including defending colin kaepernick. You have to give everybody the benefit of the doubt. Reporter next Door Solutions says its concerned about the victim. Im concerned about her and hopefully she has support. Reporter officers responded last night at what turned out to be the home of brock. Police officers arrested him after they say they found visible injuries on the woman there who police say he had a dating relationship with. There were marks on her neck sources said. We tried to talk to brock at his home after he arrived from jail. It wasnt long after that when the 49ers announced the team had cut brock. I think the 49ers as a team have done a lot nor to try to work towards this issue. So the fact that these cases are still coming to light means that theres more work to do. Reporter the nfl issued a terse statement saying the matter is being reviewed under the nfls personal conduct policy. But again, it will be aimed at a former 49er. Before today was bruce miller last september. Miller was accused of attacking a 70yearold man at a hotel in San Francisco. This is some surveillance tape from that night. He was also arrested for battery in santa clara in 2015. Ray mcdonald was arrested three times. He was suspected of attacking his pregnant fiance. Prosecutors eventually dropped those charges. Aldon smith was arrested five times since 2012. The 49ers released him after a dui arrest in 2015. Now to a microclimate weather alert. Downed trees and Power Outages across the bay area, and another storm is just offshore. The other big weather headline at this hour, Governor Brown declares the brought officially over. Rob mayeda has more. Were just about an hour or so away from the rain on the coast, the wind is picking up ahead of the next coast. This is in fremont. Wind speeds out of the south at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Its a combination of wind and blowing sand. Well be watching gusts around ocean beach, gusts getting close to 40 miles per hour. Were seeing a few scattered showers to start the evening commute. But the bigger rain lurking offshore. Its going to be a period from 7 00 tonight, approaching midnight with this next batch of moisture coming on through that will have to watch for a brief burst of gusty winds. Approaching 10 30 tonight, well see wind speeds reaching 40 miles per hour. Thats down from the 60 to 70mileperhour winds we had last night. And wind speeds backing off around midnight. Plan on another round of gusty winds, we could see a few more Power Outages and downed trees due to the gusty winds well see tonight. A chance of thunder and a big drop and weekend temperatures almost 20 degrees cooler for highs this weekend compared to just a couple days ago. This is over the San Francisco bay. Theres a race against time to keep fuel and oil from polluting our water. Its coming from a barge that sank near the bay bridge last night. B. A. R. T. Was using that barge for work on the transbay tube. Christy smith joins us. How serious is this threat . Reporter a contractor has been out here putting out thousands of feet of boom to contain what the coast guard is describing as a slow leak. Behind me, you can see the boats that are involved in this effort out here. Right now, theyre calling it containment. Theyre waiting for results of a dive assessment and then the cleanup. The coast guard released pictures of the 112 freight barge vengeance before it capsized and before it went under. We dont know the reasons it sank. Our initial report was because of the weather. Reporter they say it was moored at the location. No one was on board. A thin fuel was noticed on the water. There is a thin discharge, thats why we have replaced boom around the vessel. Reporter the coast guard repaired for release of 4,000 gallons of fuel. The owners have hired contractors. The Salvage Company was hired by the responsible party. So the barge is part of our payment nance and Engineering Contract to make sure that the tra transbay tube doesnt get corroded. Reporter after it capsized, they sent crews to inspect the tube. To make sure everything looked like and everything was normal, nothing that concerned us was found. Reporter they also waited for confirmation. There isnt any concerns about it drifting towards the tube. Right now, theres no reason to believe that it is. The coast guard feels that its secure in place and its about 1,000 feet away from the tube, so thats plenty distance. Reporter b. A. R. T. Is reminding that the tube itself is buried under the bay floor. We asked the coast guard how long this cleanup might take. At this point, they say they just dont know. Several trees came crashing down on a power line close to their home. The man who lives there says sparks from those lines woke him up. Now hes worried about two bigger trees that have exposed roots next to the house. Pretty scary . I was scared because i have a little daughter, you know, and im more concerned about my family. Navaro says hes been trying to get the county to bring those trees down, but hes been told hes up to the homeowner and hes a renter there. You are looking at a fallen power line this morning. When that elderly man went missing, police came here. This afternoon, Police Walked out of the home with bags of evidence after they arrested 50yearold David Stubblefield on suspicion of murder. Nothing like this ever happened before here. Reporter police came here yesterday asking about a missing person, who neighbors describe as a man of about 70 years old named ben. Did you ever see this man across the street talking with ben, mr. David stubblefield . Yes. That he was taking care of bens business, because ben was at santa cruz taking care of a sick friend. Reporter but ben hasnt been seen since. At this time the human remains cannot be identified. Positive identification will be made by the coroners office. Reporter police have also charged him with robbery,burgly, use of tear gas, and a felon in possession of a firearm. Stubblefield is being held in the jail. His arraignment is expected monday.
