Starting next month, mandatory water rationing in the south bay. More kids means more water. Nbc bay area Kimberly Tere is in the area. Thats right the San Jose Water Company unveiled the plan just a couple weeks ago and there was some backlash. There was complaints that the new household per allocation did not factor in family size. They based their water allocations on a family of four which the San Jose Water Company says is the average household in their area. But after feedback from customers, they decided to give households with more than four people more water. Once the plan go into effect likely in mid june those households will need to file an appeal online or in person in order to get a larger allocation. We trust our customers and that the information theyre giving us is truthful and accurate and well make the allocation target based on the number of people in their house told.
