Schools are identifying where they could isolate Sick Children if they have to. Like we do with h1n1, when we got the message from the Public Health department we needed to create isolation areas for children, we would find areas in the office. So it could be the Conference Room. Any child that had a fever or h1n1 symptoms wed put them into that Conference Room until the parents came to pick them up. If youre thinking of heading toward the beach tonight and tomorrow, this larger storm system were tracking offshore creating some massive swells of 9 to 13 feet. So best advice would be to not head in the water with this large system offshore. Well talk about rain chances from that coming up. But were still also dealing with a little bit of a bump in the atmosphere up above this upperarea level of low pressure moving through northern california. I think tonight the best possibility here would be for a few more sprinkles to continue. Were not looking at anything major in terms of any kind of heavy rainfall throughout the evening. But the other thing that our system has brought in today are the much cooler temperatures finally beginning to feel like fall outside. 60th in the north bay. Thats where weve struggled the past month or so to get any kind of rainfall out of any storm system. So its at least helping that shortterm fire threat at least right now. The microclimate forecast throughout tuesday, sunnier, drier, slightly warmer weather in the forecast. And no chance of rain. Weve got 71 in san jose throughout the downtown area. Morgan hill 74. For the peninsula, not too many differences from palo alto at 72. Youll get some sun there tomorrow. Up against the coastline, a few degrees cooler with 64 degrees. Were also looking at 60s staying put in San Francisco. So the air mass up above not going to change too much. Right across downtown San Francisco 67 degrees. For the north bay, east bay, trivalley, the thing to notice here is the most sunshine will be up into the north bay. Napa 75 degrees. Also sunny skies expected in santa rosa and 73. And for the trivalley also looking at sunny skies in danville with 74 and a little bit cooler for pleasanton as well. Lets go ahead and bring you into the next possibility of rainfall. Weve been talking about this. As we head throughout thursday at 6 00 a. M. , the problem with this storm is it is going to be centered yet again way off to the north. Our best chance of any rainfall on thursday would be the north bay. Then another storm is going to line up by friday evening. And this could bring us upwards of. 25 inches of rainfall. Still centered to the north. But looks like the bottom edge of this could be sweeping across the bay area at this point, late friday night into early saturday morning. So how is this all going to play out for the world series forecast . You can see for the two away games tuesday and wednesday, clear skies in kansas city. Temperatures in the 60s. Then back here at home for that game on friday, mainly cloudy skies for the start of the game and 67 degrees. So lets wrap it up and look ahead toward that upcoming weekend.
