With Law Enforcement agencies across the bay area and down to Southern California to try and track down little ariana fitts. Six days ago is when San Francisco police learned that nicole and her 2yearold daughter have been missing. Nikki, the mom, was last seen on april 1st. Ariana has not been seen since late february. Last friday police found nikki murdered here at mclaren park just a few miles from the best buy store where she worked. Right now they are focused round the clock on finding little ariana and thats whats driving family members like nikkis sister. I dont know where she is and who shes with and whats happening, so im really trying to stay positive that, you know, someone will know something and bring her home. We all want to stay strong as a community and help everyone find this little girl. Obviously this is very sad to the department but this is what we do, go out and try to find someone who is missing. There is someone whos responsible for the death of the mother and any harm brought to little ariana, we want to get the people responsible. Reporter strangers, family and friends are all looking for her. She lived in San Francisco with her mom but according to friends stayed with a babysitter in oakland sometimes. I asked police about whether she might be with her father but police say theres not much there. No one has been in the picture except for her mother, nikki. In addition to los angeles and san diego, the two used to frequent San Francisco, san mateo, oakland, emeryville, down to santa cruz and there are reports that nikki might have been most recently in fresno. Theres also a Facebook Group dedicated to this with family, friends and coworkers who say at best buy yesterday morning there was a counselor at the very time when they would normally begin work with her. Theyre also talking about everything like her cell phone records and trying to figure out her wireless carrier to try and see if they can get any information. An unusual Ripple Effect blamed on the spike in tourists in cuba. The island is apparently running low on beer. Thats right. A costa rica newspaper reports tourists are guzzling more beer than cubas main manufacturer can supply. Compounded with shipping delays, the tap is running low. Staterun bars are getting hit especially hard. Private bars also scrambling for supplies. In the meantime, visitors will have to look for other options. Sounds fair. Lets check your weather this morning. Not cuban, but not bad either. Not bad at all. In fact now that were getting rid of the rain, we can get back outside after being all cooped up inside over the weekend. Looking now at san jose, so far not a lot of sun just yet but those clouds will slowly part as we go through the day. Taking a look back at the weekend and how much rain we had, we had about a half of an inch in san rafael, a little more in napa and San Francisco. Concord had over an inch of rain and oakland about threequarters of an inch. Compare that to the normal amount for the month of april and some spots had that amount or maybe even more. Looking at livermore, an inch and a half and the average amount for the month is about an inch. Fremont had over an inch of rain. San jose very close. And there is more rain in the forecast. So we are looking at a pretty soggy start to the month of april, which is not at all some bad news. We are looking at some great weather over the next few days. Then looking at how it compares to average for the rainfall to date, we are right at about 100 in many spots. So right where we should be for this time of year. And now its 58 degrees as you head out in the north bay. Weve got some low 60s elsewhere. Lets get a close look at the north bay where we do have a couple of spots reaching into the low 60s like petaluma, santa rosa and napa at 62 degrees. And the oakland as game tonight at the coliseum, we will have some low 60s there. Cool and breezy weather. The sun peeking out once again and then more clouds moving in tonight. By the end of the game well be at 58 degrees. Highs today reaching the mid to upper 60s, so pretty average as we go into the next couple of days, were not going to see many changes here. Up to 70 degrees today in fairfield. We will also have more fog moving in tonight. We see it holding just offshore and then it starts to roll in late tonight and into the start of the day tomorrow before it clears out by 10 00 or 11 00 in the morning. Then well have some dry days before this weak area of low pressure moves in. By thursday, we start to see showers moving into the rest of the bay area. It quickly clears out and well have some gusty winds and well have at times winds at about 25 to 30 miles an hour. Rainfall totals look to be about a tenth of an inch or more, maybe a quarter of an inch spau farther to the north. This weekend, well have a big warmup again, into the upper 70s. Some spots close to 80 degrees, like the trivalley on saturday up to 79 degrees. And San Francisco will hold steady in the mid60s, so it definitely looks like a weekend to make outdoor plans and maybe even some beach plans if you live somewhere where you dont have air conditioning and those temperatures will be warming up quite a bit. Most americans have already filed their returns. 86 of the people surveyed in our recent poll have handled their taxes before march 31 z. A third of those surveyed used an online Tax Prep Program while a fourth did it themselves. More taxpayers than ever are efiling their returns, especially the countrys 83 million millennials who have become the favorite target of the tax preparation industry, and especially when theres a refund coming. There are plenty of responsible things you can do with that money. You can certainly save it, you can use it to pay off some bills, potentially some loans. Or treat yourself for being ahead of mondays midnight deadline for filing your taxes. Chris clackum, nbc news.
