Just put in the search term boston. A man accused of ab earlymorning standoff is under arrest this morning. Merge officers, a version of s. W. A. T. , were called to the mans home near samson way. The man surrendered after s. W. A. T. Surrounded his house, talked him out. Officers were responding to the house after he reportedly shot a gun into the ground, then locked himself in his home and refused to come out and talk to police. I was talking to my parents. What my dad said, he fired 20 shots from his highpowered rifle at the neighbor that he thinks is doing illegal activities. And then retreated back into his house. Police have not yet told us that mans name. Pg e officials will be in federal court today to respond to criminal charges against the company tied to the 2010 deadly pipeline explosion in san bruno. Federal prosecutors claim the Utility Company knowingly and willfully violated federal safety regulations, which led to the explosion. The fire killed eight people, injured 66, and destroyed 38 homes. Pg e could be forced to pay up to 6 million in fines if convicted of the 12 felony violations. The fines could add up to 4 billion. The utility is expected to enter a notguilty plea. The former San Francisco firefighter accused of driving drunk and hitting a motorcyclist is scheduled to be in court today. He plowed right into the motorcycle. The man that he hit, jack frazier, broke his leg, his ampl, had his lung collapse. He did survive that crash, remarkably. Quinn resigned from the San FranciscoFire Department last november. Were expecting to hear from the San Jose Police leaders following a troubling report from an independent auditor. Last weeks audit revealed sordid activities in the San Jose Police department, including two officers who had sex while on the job. Both of them still employed by the department. Officers were also accused of knowingly lying about their behavior. Even when proof existed they had misbehaved. The auditor recommends any officer who lies to his superiors should be fired immediately. The city Council Plans to discuss that report at this weeks meeting. Family and friends of a man who has been missing more than a year have new hope of finding him in morning. There are new reported sightings of the 21yearold. The last time he was in contact with his family was back in february of last year. Thursdays tip has prompted a weekend search of the area where he was seen. Family members say social media is also providing very valuable leads. It reached a lot of people. The sensibility of sharing videos and sharing information, it spreads quickly. Police in menlo park hope the public can help them track down two people who beat a man with a gun and then stole his cell phone. People living on Treasure Island say they have yet another Health Concern to be worried about. This time, its mold.
