At goodmans building supply, employees say 85 of the customers who came in today bought fans. Consider it a good investment with several more days of record breaking temperatures ahead this week. The suspect was taken to Highland Hospital with injuries, but its not clear how badly he was wounded, and passengers in the car were not hurt. First tracking a little cooling, moisture moves away from the sierra, making for interesting weather over the nexting two to three hours. The first records smashed all over the bay area. Airports, livermore, 106. Low 80s inlaptnd, but notice th temperature change as winds pick up from the south, and a sign of the winds beginning to turn stronger, in fact, winds up to 14 in fairfield. This will be coupled with low clouds approaching the coastline for the morning, and so all signs to the coast in the inner bay, and leads to cooling. That is one of the changes we are watching, especially for tomorrow morning. One of the short term changes, pretty interesting, mid level moisture heading away from the sierra, zooming in, the returns, trying to move across the south bay hills, up to the pass, and now, a lot of what the radar is picking up with elevated returns, but notice the trend. Moisture moves in across some of the hill tops, still warm air over the hills in the 70s and 80s so a stray showerings maybe lightning in the east, that is possible. Futurecast picks up on some of this, but the model, frankly, puts it too far to the east. Notice the time frame here as we get towards about anywhere from about midnight to 1 30, thats when the batch passes through, but radar shows in the pass and south bay hill top. From now to 4 00 a. M. , stray showers may cross in the bay hills. In the morning, moisture moves on, and then we see the low clouds here on the coast. That should allow the inner bay to see a a little cooling. 50s and 60s to start. Hill top here, up to the pass, and east bay hills, though, likely waking up to 70s at least if youre above 1,000 feet in the morning hours. High in the mid90s in san jose. A little cooling. Inland areas, east of 680 to interstate 80, numbers again, 90s, near 100 degrees. Cooler, though, for the coast. Cooler for San Francisco, southwest winds increasing. 70s tomorrow. Mostly lower to mid90s in the north bay. The trend here in the sevenday forecast, temperatures down a little bit, but back up thursday. Heat advisory comets through 9 00 thursday.
