As for the creek is overfloeg its banks producing a lot of water moving into the neighborhoods near morgan hill and gilroy. Lets look at what to expect in the next 30 minutes or so. We have light to moderate rain that is compounding issues. A wider view shows the good news were starting to see an end to some of this widespread feeding in from the south. As we get a look out here up across the north bay we did have a break but now we get more rainfall moving into marin, napa and sonoma counties. Always when we get a lot of rainfall its is russian and napa river. They are under flood warnings until 2 30 tomorrow. You could experience some flooding. Please, please watch it extra carefully. Theyre almost up to the guardrail northbound and southbound lanes are entirely blocked off. We are at the 25 overpass and you can see to the left there, there is a whirlpool. This is starting to drain but it is causing a major traffic nightmare here. The northbound lanes of 101 is at a complete stand still. Those trucks have been standing there for about 30 minutes. And one of the reasons is because they have to get off on this exhibit here. They have to go up and around to the east and that down there, down this road that were on right now there, is also water rushing over and we see now that police are blocking it in both directions. It is some of the many headaches that people, that drivers and homeowners have been facing here in south Santa Clara County. In morgan hill the biggest hit came in the afternoon, sending dozens scrambling. We followed two people. Our restaurant is going to overflow. We had to kick everybody out. The roads are closing down. The clogged storm drain sending an unwelcomed customer through the entrance. We had water rushing into the front because our main drain over here has turned into a puddle. They closed four hours early but the water subsided. Overnight and im going to have to check on everything and make sure that we are somewhat dry. Reporter runoff from the llagas creek. This is the area where it usually floods and all the folks can do around here is watch and wait. As streets and vineyards flood people come to tend of Miller Street to watch the water rise. This is always the first area. So you know, only time will tell. Reporter harry little knows that. He had to escape flood waters before. Hes keeping an eye on the stream that runs right in front of his home. He says the water is a little rough right now but he is preparing himself. Ive got a canoe to get in and out. It came up about a foot higher than that lower door over there. And i think it was in 2004. Reporter gurnville is a small town that is preparing for flooding.
