Authorities say police approached a group of people outside the caesars casino early this morning. A person opened fire, critically wound wounding an officer. Police returned fire, killing one of the suspects. Officers are looking for two people wanted in connection with the shooting. San Francisco Police are investigating an incident at a dog park where a man kicked another persons pet. It happened at dubose park. Witnesses say a few dogs got rowdy. The hounds owner reportedly went after a black lab. Reporter the video starts with a man pulling the guy in plaid away from the black lab. Other dog owners urge him to leave. The man slams his boot into otiss belly. I was convinced he had broken the dogs ribs. Reporter another witness tackles him to the ground. The man grabs his bassett hound and leaves. Corina lopez was there with her great dane. It was definitely terrifying. I took his phone and said dont come back to this park. Reporter they first noticed the aggressor because his bassett hound wasnt fixed, and that can lead to problems. Fisher says the skirmish wasnt anything unusual. They all got their dogs. Ive been coming here for 30 years and never seen anyone get that crazy over a dogfight. Reporter police are investigating. In San Francisco, tiffany wilson, abc 7 news. Santa clara Police Officers are looking into holding their own boycott against the 49ers following quarterback Colin Kaepernicks critical comments toward law enforcement. The Police Officer association sent a letter to the 49ers saying its members may stop working home games. Theyre angry at kaepernicks comments as well as socks he sore depicting police as pigs. The Police Department says it will issue a statement today. The 49ers reiterated kaepernicks right to freedom of expression. Hes donating to communities affected by racial injustice. In thursday nights preseason game, he heard the boos while kneeling in protest. He decides to kneel to keep his message focused on in jujustice. After the game, kaepernick said hell donate the first 1 million this season to help marginalized communities. Bay area groups believe he could do a lot of good. It could be helpful, for one thing, in addressing affordable housing. We need more housing here in the bay area. It could also be addressed with spending more dollars on Mental Health services. Thursday, kaepernick and his girlfriend made the first donation, 60,000 worth of backpacks for kids in harlem and the bronx. A man that many people equate with preferential treatment and Sexual Assault is now free. Former stanford swimmer brock turner left jail today, facing an uncertain future. He plans to live with his parents in ohio where an angry reception awaits him. Abc News Reporter Katie Marzullo explains. Its a decision im not happy with. I think it should have been a state prison sentence. Reporter turner is expected to go home to green county, ohio. The sheriff there tells abc news post cards will be mailed to homeowners to alert them that a sex offender lives in the area. Protesters are already there. This is where turner has lived for the past three months, a cell he shared with five other inmates. Theres a lot of reasons a person is in protective custody. Basically theyre at risk while theyre here. Reporter the Sheriffs Office said turner received hundreds of pieces of hate mail. Hours after turner was released, a rally outside the jail calling for the judge who sentenced him to be recalled. Lawmakers and elected officials stood beside survivors of Sexual Assault. Sexual assault is never the victims fault. No one is ever asking to be sexually assaulted. The district of Santa Clara County is unsafe because of judge persky sit on the belgium right now. Reporter judge persky is currently only hearing civil cases. Turner will be on probation for three years. Katie marzullo, abc 7 news. Brock turners sentence has inspired new legislation that would guarantee prison time for Sexual Assault. Current laws allow for a leaner sentence if the victim was unconscious and not forced. The bill would mandate three years of jail or prison. The aclu opposes the legislation because it creates a mandatory minimum. But senator jerry hill says it allows for probation in certain situations. A judge can impose probation. But the judge would have to outline and clearly articulate on the record what the unique circumstances are that he or she would not be imposing the mandatory minimum sentence for this. Governor jerry brown has until the end of the month to sign of it. A second bill would expand the definition of rape to include all forms of penetration. He was in jail for threatening to shoot deputies with an ak47 rifle. The sheriffs Department Says rodriguez called the jail thursday night and was told he needed to surrender himself. Whereas minute abuslin, also known as celeste guap, spoke from her jail cell after a violent confrontation with security staff at the rehab security where she was getting help for sex and drug addiction. This morning a hurricane watch remains in effect for oahu and maui. Locals are keeping a close eye on hurricane lester, a category 2 storm. The high surf warning is in effect. After Police Arrested 43yearold cory murphy, they found an incoherent woman in the back of his van. They say she is not the only victim. Abc 7 reporter katie utehs has more. Reporter this van is best described as creepy. At worst, its the scene of multiple attacks on women. I swear to god, i saw that guy a million different times. Reporter police say 43yearold cory murphy drugged and sexually assaulted at least two teenaged girls. Investigators case against him started with an alleged rape at the economy inn back in february. A 16yearold woke up disoriented and reported being attacked by murphy and 27yearold rose ann pinal. Then in july, a 14yearold girl was drugged, sexually assaulted, and raped in the same location. With murphy and pinal accused plus a third woman implicated, 23yearold sarah denzer. Its just crazy. Reporter the three are in custody and being held on 4 million bail each. San Francisco Police officer riley bandy was praised for helping to stop an Armed Robbery in oakland. In front of his family, friends, and colleagues, officer riley bandy of the san Francisco Police department was recognized for the quick thinking he displayed while offduty in oakland. I see a guy point a rifle at a citizen and, you know, i confronted him. When i did that, he pointed the rifle at me. Reporter the silver star medal from Oakland Police is the departments second highest honor for bravery. In july, officer bandy was out for a jog and unarmed when he saw an Armed Robbery in progress, a 16yearold boy trying to take someones cellphone. Bandy yelled at the suspect. The suspect backed away from the victim and fled on foot while officer bandy pursued the suspect on foot and called 911 on his cellphone, all at the same time. Reporter officer bandy stayed on the phone with dispatch as he followed the suspect. Although it appeared to be a rifle, it was later determined to be a b. B. Gun.
