According to the east bay times, the daughter of Richard Perkins filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city of oakland yesterday. Police officers shot and killed perkins near 90th and bancroft last november. The east bay times also reports in the lawsuit his dot said he had a toy pistol and tried to get rid of it before getting closer to police. The suit seeks unspecified daniels. The naacp is leading a peaceful protest in hayward in response to the recent killings of black men and Police Officers.
