According to the east bay times, the daughter of Richard Perkins filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city of oakland yesterday. Police officers shot and killed perkins near 90th and bancroft last november. The east bay times also reports in the lawsuit his dot said he had a toy pistol and tried to get rid of it before getting closer to police. The suit seeks unspecified daniels. The naacp is leading a peaceful protest in hayward in response to the recent killings of black men and Police Officers. Organizers say the protest is meant to unify the people in the community and as an out jet for hem toe express tear feelings. It starts at the naacp office in hayward. There was a moving tribute for officers yesterday, not only those killed in dallas and baton rouge but also those who died in the line of duty here in the bay area.
