In december, the National Transportation safety board held hearings where asiana blamed boeing for design flaws and boeing blamed the pilots for lack of training, incorrect settings and not avoiding a landing. In february blamed asiana and just this month, the south korean government suspended asiana flights for a week when pilots took off, despite discovering engine problem. Its good news and demonstrates there is oversight by the regulator. And that theyre willing to take action. Now, head of the National Safety council, they seek to prevent unintentional deaths.
