Reporter the changes to criminal activity here coincide with some sweeping changes that both the city and the state have made during this pandemic. Hotels that used to be reserved for tourists on lombard street have since been given to people expanding homelessness who did not have anywhere to shelter in place safely. Public records obtained by kpix5 show 911 calls to the buena vista in near mike and donna have tripled since the city started housing Homeless People there. Going from one or two calls a month to up to 14 calls a month at its peak. We have received complaints from neighbors living near three other hotels housing the homeless, some complained of open drug use.
