Still a few light showers are possible throughout the Early Morning hours. Then by the next tour they are really confined much to the south bay. Maybe an isolated shower in the peninsula. Then we get into brighter skies, a mostly dry weekend but the north bay excluded from that. Ill explain and then we are talking much more rain in the week ahead. Chris. We need every drop of the rain, but all the rain at once has really caused some problems. Check out how the wet weather brought down this large tree on some powerlines overnight in marin county. The wet weather is being blamed for flooding, dangerous driving and flight delays. We have more for the airport. Weather caused a few flight delays at san jose international, but at sfo the weather racked up 110 cancelled flights for the bay. The combination of low clouds, wind, and spotty rain meant flights from boston and los angeles, and plenty of cities in between were scrubbed or delayed. Im flying to l. A. What happened to your flight . Its cancelled. Eric is also trying to get to los angeles. Pretty much three hours delay. Almost all the flights i have seen, three to four hours. He even doublebooked flights to try to get back home for a important date. I booked a second to see if they canceled the first one and its a business flight. I just need to get back home. Had an event to go to tonight, but i guess its not going to happen. The weather triggered a ground stop at sfo for a while. The second day in a row air traffic as temporarily halted. Across the bay near concord, light, steady rain and windy conditions made for potentially slick driving conditions and san jose near santana road steady rains fell for a couple of hours. This man considers any moving involving someones neck highly skilled and involving careful supervision. It can put somebody out in a couple seconds. A choke hold involves pressure against someones windpipe. I can move downward and it will come with you downward and squeezing the arteries on the side of the neck to restrict blood supply to the brain. This is the carotid, as you can see. In under a second i could feel the effect. Now you can feel it oh whew he said a choke hold is much worse. You feel the touching against the windpipe area, its really uncomfortable. In april he captured this video of an officer taking down a handcuffed fan at the giants home opener. That could have knocked the kid flat out. In light of what was happening in new york, the video is resurfacing. He said we do not use the choke hold restraint, we use the carotid restraint. Look at the video again. You can see the neck sits in the crook of the officers elbow, consistent with the carotid restraint. But this video of eric garner shows the officers arm over his neck consistent with a choke hold. Both moves can be dangerous. One can completely go into another one in no time. He showed us several techniques how to get out of both holds, but his best advice is to deescalate the situation so it never gets to that point. In oakland, Tiffany Wilson, abc7 news.
