He was obviously set on violence and gun violence the apartment complex on gary drive is where the suspects x lives. Least say he showed up and had to be forced out by the People Living there. Then police say he put innocent lives at risk at that point witnesses report. Edly said he took out a handgun. Fired multiple rounds in the area even as he continued to leave the scene by getting into his car and and driving away responding hayward officers followed the suspect in a low speed chase from the complex to eden canyon road near the 580 exit here officers pulled off a pit maneuver just top the suspect sky seven shows the crash mercedes along the embankment that did not stop the he continued to tried to flee in the car as the officers were trying to get out of their cars to approach him. He rammed one of the patrol cars. We believe one of the officers legs was pinned the pursuit continued on foot up in canyon road for a quarter mile where police say the arm suspect tried to carjack a woman. Thats when officer shot and hit the man multiple times. He was later declared deceased this very have gone bad for our officers this this this suspect showed a propensity for violence. They used very good tactics and had to make important decisions. And i think that were thankful that none of our officers were hurt lieutenant. Kelly says the man had an extensive criminal history and it was involved in a robbery and attempted kidnapping earlier in the day at an emeryville home depot before the domestic dispute and shooting. The body cam footage of the shooting will be released at a later date in Castro Valley dust and dorsey abc 7 news. Sentencing is delayed for a family of former contractors accused of defrauding survivors of the 2017 tubs fire jeremonti construction is accused of some par rebuilding work or not doing work at all.
