It is dry but a little b heres a look from the east bay hills camera and you can see just how dry and clear it is this morning. Clouds will be on the increase today. Today. Youll need the definitely early. Evening rain develops in the north bay and then that spreads overnight through tomorrow and well have a lighter storm. Heres a look at tomorrows storm. You can see the moisture fetch is a little more pronounced with this and we think the rain going to be heavier and the winds are going to be a little gustier, its a 2 on our storm impact scale. Rank this storm as a moderate. Rainfall from about 1 3 in the south bay to 1 inch possible in the north bay. Thats in the valleys. Well get anywhere from 1 to 2 inches in the north bay, especially as you start to head up into the mountains. Gusts at 30 Miles Per Hour in our val valleys, here we are at 5 00 in the evening, lake county, light rain developing, few showers will dip down into the north bay but its during the overnight hours that it really establishes itself as a steady event of light green to moderate yellow and orange rain and during the morning commute it tries to dip all the way down to the south bay by 9 00. But notice where the yellows and oranges are. Still in the north bay. And then that starts to move into the heart of the bay by noon and then down into the south bay and still some lingering effects from the heart of the bay by 4 00 but the evening commute, we definitely see a tapering of the intensity of the showers and by 11 00, theyre just about over. Heres a look at my accuweather 7 day forecast. That will open us up to sunshine for saturday, little bit warmer, cooler with the clouds and the rain sunday into monday and then spring warmth and sunshine tuesday and wednesday. Looking forward though that, reggie and right now, were pretty good for the start of our thursday morning commute. I do want to zoom in to a couple slowdowns on southbound 880, really around the hayward area. The first one near winteren avenue, we had a disabled bike in the hov lane, an area where there isnt a shoulder so they didnt have anywhere to go. It sounds like that has cleared or its in the clearing stages but you can see that red there as you approach and south of the san mateo bridge near whipple, we have a new collision and that is blocking at least one lane. If you are approaching the san mateo bridge or heading past that towards fremont, you can see you are going to be slowed down here this morning. Live look outside at the north bay. Southbound 101 through san rafael, a few a brake lights maybe starting to fill in but overall were looking really good. Well check out the bay bridge commute coming up next. Alexis, thank you. Now, of course were focusing on puppies today because this is National Puppy day but its really the older dogs that end up getting left behind a lot at the shelter so we need to think about them too today. Definitely. I mean, we have some great senior dogs and we actually have a senior to senior adoption where the adoption fee is waived if youre 62 and older and a dog is 7 years or older. Theres no adoption fee. Is that right . I love that. So that way, they can live their lives out together. So, we know that these guys are going to be adopted because who wouldnt want these puppies . Lets take a look at the rain. 7 00 tonight, santa rosa, the rest of us dry for the evening commute. Tomorrow still pretty much up in the north bay but then as we head towards friday evening, 1 3 inch in the south bay to 2 inches in north bay. Not too much on the roads right now. We do have that issue in the hayward area, southbound 880 at whipple. We do have a multicar crash and its likely blocking at least one lane. We still have not been able to confirm that. A little backup north of there as well due to an earlier disabled vehicle and yes, the bay bridge toll plaza is definitely filling in, those metering lights on since about 5 26 this morning. We have a report of a crash on the shoulder at grand avenue. Hopefully wont slow you down too much. On top of that, we have a high wind advisory for the bay bridge this morning too.
