Officers say they stopped a driver for a possible dui when somebody opened fire close to them. They shut down the freeway in both directions while they search for the suspect, and they only found shell casings. All lanes were back open by 4 00, about an hour ago. The chp does not have a description for the suspect or their car and nobody was hurt. The biggest reservoir in Santa Clara County is at full capacity and spilling over for the first time in more than a decade. It happened early yesterday morning at Anderson Reservoir in mo morgan hill. There are plenty of hazards to consider. Its like a water slide, huh . Its a lot of water. Reporter thats an underestimate, and this is water rushing across the Anderson Reservoir spillway, and crashing 70 feet down the rocky hillside. Its really beautiful out here. Residents are in cleanup mode after a huge storm on friday that caused widespread damage and at least five deaths. A sinkhole swallowed two cars in studio city, briefly trapping one of the drivers. It will take several days to repair the 20footdeep hole, and a possible suer failure likely caused the sinkhole to form. And a fire engine tumbled over a section of interstate 15 around the el cajon pass, and cal transsays it will cost 3 million to repair the roadway. Several tons of mud covered a state park parking lot in the Santa Clarita valley. There was extensive damage from the storm. That area was hit especially hard by downed trees and extensive flooding. With more rain on the way, crews will be keeping a close eye on the orville dam and the damaged spillway. Out flows were reduced to 55,000 cube iic feet per second. The department of Water Resources says levels on lake orville are continuing to drop. Trees have been coming down ta due to saturated soil causing problems in the north bay, and a water main break flooded the valleys cemetery in sonoma. The Fire Department and the Water Department responded and all the water rushed into homes behind the cemetery. Homeowners said the water got close to getting inside their houses but sandbags helped to protect them. And ski resorts are a popular destination this weekend, but getting there and back will be difficult, especially tomorrow. Heavy rain and snow are forecast for tomorrow, and chains are already required on interstate 80 from king veil to the donner lake interchange, and from twin bridges to meyers. Snow levels are expected to lower to the 5,000foot elevation mark. We are looking at this to perhaps even be stronger where it stalls out, if it does so in the north bay. Strong winds and heavy rainfall. This is the timing. It just increases. Here we are 3 00 in the afternoon, and we have moderate to heavy rain from the city, and 7 00 tonight into the south bay, and the peninsula, and its still raining. Its been raining all day in parts of the north bay. And 11 00 tonight, it gets heavier, and this is where it could stall out here. It just continues with more cells right on through 6 00 in the morning, and then where is the let up . There isnt any throughout the day on monday. Finally, monday night maybe breaking up a little bit. Still showers on tuesday. This one, its a big one, and the rainfall estimates, look at that, nearly 6 inches up in parts of the north bay. Were looking at a big event here with up to two inches elsewhere in the south bay, and snow levels starting out low and then they rise. A foot of snow, and they will rise tomorrow morning and then lower tomorrow night. If you are in tahoe, you are going to stay a while because we are looking at several feet of snow, and highs today under the clouds, and the light rain, upper 50s in the accuweather 7day forecast.
