If no agreement is reached, the unions have said they will walk off the job next friday the 11th. The unions have said they dont want to strike but they do want a fair contract, so that strike could happen in a week but they will be reporting on updates regarding the negotiations later this morning. The latest proposal included a 9. 5 pay raise over three years. Union leaders had encouraged workers to accept the offer and theyll now meet to accept the next step. President obama held a white house meeting with the top four congress at leaders last night but it produced only more bickering.
