Around 2 45 this morning or so, but then miller crossed the street and went over to the travel lodge right there. Now just a little while ago we got video from the travel lodge of miller approaching the travel lodge, in that video, you could see, he has a bloody face and wearing a white tank top and he is staggering. In the second piece of video shot probably about 15 minutes later, San Francisco Police Officers come over to him, they collect him and put handcuffs on him and gave him some medical attention and then took him away. Earlier today we talked to the front desk attendant about what happened. Reporter according to the front desk attendant at the travel lodge he called 911 because he was worried about bruce millers well being. I told him, this is private property so he has to leave the property. And then he couldnt. He was just vomiting there. So i said it is better to call 911 for medical help. He said miller was in pretty bad shape. His face was bleeding and he didnt move much. When i saw him, i felt like he was intoxicated so he maybe bumped his head somewhere. They had no idea that he had just been in a scuffle at the Marriott Hotel across the street. The suspect from the marriott is bruce miller they need more units. And now the 49er fullback tried to enter someone elses room and argued with the guest in that room and then the mans 29yearold son staying next door and then a fight broke out. When the fight was over, the hotel guests were sent to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries. Miller is now charged with several felonies, including assault with a dweeadly weapon, not a firearm and elder abuse. And the 49ers announced bruce miller has been released from the team. Last year he pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace and agreed to go to Domestic Violence counseling with his girlfriend. Back at the travel lodge, miller was examined by paramedics and arrested without any further incident. Now miller was arrested and booked into the San Francisco county jail. Millers arrest marks the 4 14th time a 49er player has been arrested since 2012 and here is a list of the recent arrests. A year ago last august brooks was arrested on misdemeanor battery and the same month smith was arrested on the hitandrun and dui and vandalism and his fiffage rest and led to his release from the team and before that millers arrest on suspicion of spousal battery and in august of 2014 they booked ray mcdonald for felony Domestic Violence and in march of 2014 Chris Culliver was arrested for hitandrun. Abc 7 News Reporter Amy Hollyfield has the details. Reporter it is not going to be a normal day. But local students are resilient. Reporter the president in union city said he will do all he can to help students deal with grief when they return to school and there facing the day without two seniors, and an 11th grade independent study student. They died in a car crash and a third student was also in the car and is in the hospital. Hundreds of people turned out for a candlelight vigil last night on campus. They were very well known on the campus. Absolutely involved in every extracurricular and academic opportunity so it is a big loss for us. The principal said even though this is a tough time, he encourages parents to return students to school tomorrow. The classmates and teammates who need to see and be with one another and even if it is just to say hi or give hugs or even cry together. A 14yearold boy hit by a truck while riding his bike in oakley last night has died. Police say the boy was riding on the sidewalk when he veered on to big break road around 8 00 and was hit by the truck. He was airlifted to Childrens Hospital in oakland where he died this morning. The childs name hasnt been released. The truck driver is cooperating with police. Authorities say drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this accident. A mandatory Evacuation Order is still in effect for those living near the gap fire which is burning nearly 26,000 acres of the National Forest in siskiyou county. Parts of the forest are also closed to visitors. A crew of 2,000 firefighters have that blaze 30 contained, so far the fire has destroyed two structures since it started last saturday and investigators are still searching for the cause. An employee wasnt about to let them drive away without a problem. Matt keller has the details. How do you keep car thieves away. At this auto dealership in fremont, you build a fence. These workers were called by the owner to measure the Property Line of the dealership because four vehicles had been stolen recently. Police say te got a call late last night that a vehicle was stolen along with a bunch of keys. Officers came out and took a report. Then just after 2 30 a. M. The same worker called while getting on northbound 880 at northern ton and said he was following two vehicles stolen from the dealership. And in their attempt to flee and avoid arrest they academy caused a threevehicle collision and get involved in another solo vehicle collision not too far north of here. At one point, all northbound lanes north of dakota road were closed down while the chp investigated the two crashes and cleaned up the scene. Firefighters had to cut one of the innocent victims out of the vehicle after it rolled over. That person was taken to the hospital to be checked out. The other innocent victim was not injured. One of the suspects was arrested while the other ran off. Just important to note they werent in pursuit of any Law Enforcement agencies. None of us were involved yet. And it sounds like they may have been being chased by either a Security Guard or employee of the dealership. Still as a category one hurricane before making a little bit of a turn toward the northeast as a Tropical Storm on wednesday. Two incidents are under investigation right now just the latest in a string of carnival accidents making headlines this summer. Here is eva pilgrim. Two accidents at two local fairs leaving a dozen people, mostly children, recovering. I thought i was going to die. Reporter this ride shut down after this terrifying scene. Pure panic as the ride malfunctioned. Everybody was screaming and crying. The safety bar opening before the ride reached the ground. People left hangling and holding on for lives, some of them falling from their seats. My youngest daughter is hurt bad. Seans daughter faith has a broken wrist and neck injury, one of half a dozen children rushed to the hospital. This is within hours of another fair accident in chicago. Multiple injuries at the carnival. Six children hitting their heads when a roller coaster came to an abrupt stop. One of the girls hit forward and she hit her face on the ride. The total number of scares at Amusement Parks totaling six in the last month, including a tenyearold killed on the Worlds Largest water slide in kansas. I have three kids that have fell from the ferris wheel. Reporter and three hospitalized when something went wrong on a ferris wheel in tennessee. The majority of the incidents that occur on an Amusement Park are human error. And that appears to be the case in this most recent accident in memphis. The ride operator panicked and hit a button that released the safety bars before the ride was in the cradle. A Group Representing the carnival operators say americans take a billion ride every year and 13,000 get hurt badly enough to visit the emergency room. 28 well there were 26 people that are alive to thanks to quick action by total strangers. 25 passengers and five crew members were aboard a fishing boat that crashed into a rock in san diego. Its name, dip sea cafe, as in the trail that takes you to Stinson Beach and the longstanding foot race with the same name. It was john and his wife cory who started the dip sea 30 years ago and it has never stopped being a favorite to many. The biscuits are great. Were from reno and we come down here every time were down here and we have to make it. But nearly a year ago, cory died of breast cancer. They remember the pain she was in and the one thing that helped. Experiencing what a few drops of cannabis could do for some of that suffering. Recently he made a decision no one anticipated. He plans on closing the dip sea to make way for a medical Marijuana Dispensary, the county wont allow him to have both in the same location. I was able to find something that will give relief from pain. Customers are standing by his decision. If that is what he needs to do, then ill be totally supportive but it is just it is the dip sea and when it goes away it is a sad day for mill valley. On a stretch of water called false river. On sunday morning, my neighbor, who was went by the boat and he said the boat was listing to one side. Bruce johnson told us he saw the paddle boat start to take on water on sunday morning. And i went in my house and got my friend and said, it looks like this boat is going down and i walked back out and there was no boat there. So it rolled and sunk.
