Days festivities. Reporter theres nothing like the home opener and it seems to be a lot more magical. The giants are 12 and 3 at at t park since they moved here in 2000 and today coming off a world series championship was really special. Lets show you what happened. They started out with the entire team walking out from center field. The fans went crazy with bruce botch bocci and tim lincecum. Just a special moment for everybody, and as i mentioned the place just went nuts and then the introductions happened and of course, colorado was introduced first. I think their team had to stand there for about an hour and i would have taken it back to the clubhouse at that point and even the giants players were getting restless when you have this long of a pregame. The Marshal Tucker band singing the anthem. That was my old college band at florida state. Good to see them out here at at t. And then a tribute to 230r78er giants broadcaster lon simmons who passed away last week and they threw out the first pitches and it was quite exciting to see and Madison Bumgartner finally got his wish and jumped on the horse and delivered the 2014 championship ban tore jeremy out in right center and then, of course jerry took the banner, ran it up the pole. As i mentioned, the third world series championship banner in the last five years doesnt get much better than that, and then, of course, rookie chris heston making his second start with the first pitch. So just quite a pregame for everybody involved and over 40,000 people either called in sick today were working from home and, boy, just quite a pregame festivities out here. Unfortunately the giants came within a threegame losing streak and they were three back of the National League west and well have more on that coming up later at 6 00 in sports and what a day out here guys and really special to be a part of it and there you go you got it confirmed right there. Time seems to fly once its flown so here we are again. Its my happy place. More than her happy place, all of their happy places note the orange and black. Were back and the giants are back. One more opportunity for feeling triumphant. My hearts going to come out of my chest. Did you ever think youd sit at an opening day winning three out of the last four world searies . Yeah. One, two three, not good enough. I want a full dynasty. As if the giants didnt already have enough manners and today was about seeing that one more go up. Jared diaz and his family purposely bought seats in Left Center Field so when the time came they would be only a few feet away to witness this.
