So tomorrow with all that gorgeous sunshine, San Francisco is going to be 71 degrees in the north bay. Look for santa rosa to hit 89. Its going to get hot in cloverdale and lakeport, even antioch, 90 around the bay. Perfect weather in san in san mateo and oakland, 75 degrees. San jose 81 but cooler in half. But by noon, plenty of sunshine warming up to the mid 70s and even at 6 p. M, almost near 70 degrees with that bright sunshine as we jump ahead to monday, notice we still hang on to the 90s inland around the bay. Even some 70s in San Francisco, though. And then tuesday is when temperatures come down for inland areas into the mid 80s. So it will be closer to average. Heres the accuweather seven day forecast. So summer warmth for tomorrow. The heat holds on monday even a little bit warmer for the bay and the coast just by a couple of degrees and then cooler and breezier on tuesday before we get closer to average midweek. We only saw a couple shots of food in there and that was enough for francis and i to Start Talking about what were going to eat at midnight when we get off. Were hungry now. Ill take the chicken and waffles. Exactly. Anytime temperatures right now are mild. Theyre in the 50s and 60s, and then well be cooling off overnight with cloud cover and some fog into the mid 50s around the bay. Some low 50s in the north bay. But tomorrow with plenty of sunshine, temperatures will be slightly above average once again. Its going to be a gorgeous day in San Francisco, 71. Or if youre going to join zach at the pride oakland parade , 75 degrees tomorrow afternoon. And san joses 81 still warm inland near 90. We hang on to this warm weather for the next couple of days. So plenty of sunshine sunday and monday. The heat holds on and in fact, it will be a touch warmer on monday around the bay and at the coast. But then it will be cooler and breezier as this area of low pressure drops in from the gulf of alaska. So slight drop in temperatures on tuesday before we pop it back up again on wednesday, plenty of sunshine will be closer to average and then not much change. Were on Cruise Control wednesday, thursday, friday, mid 80s around inland areas and around the bay mid 70s and then at the beaches mid 60s. Again, as usual, really nothing to complain about. Yes, i love it. Francis, thank you so much. All right. Now to chris with a preview of sports is zach coming up in sports, nick bosa is sign sealed in ready to play in pittsburgh. Ahead, one on one with svp espn Scott Van Pelt weighs in on hbos new deal and why he likes the niners to make some noise this season. S we handcraft every batch of our delicious popcorn. Like our cretors cheese and caramel mix. Great on their own, even better together. Try cretors, handcrafted smallbatch popcorn. Todays Cancer Research is tomorrows victory. A victory that is there for the taking. Grab it. Now that was a great halftime speech. Lets go win. [jim valvano] dont give up. Dont ever give up® for the Season Opener tomorrow in pittsburgh. And get this, during an impasse, former warriors gm bob myers even stepped in to help out. Heres an excited nick bosa faithful. Im locked in. Just signed six years. Im a niner for life. Lets go win some rings. Thats about as excited as the reigning defensive player of the year gets. Bosa is now the highest paid player in the nfl on the defensive side of the ball, the 25 year old defensive end. He eats, sleeps and breathes football and says the hardest part was being away from his teammates during the holdout. Ive been waiting for that moment. Thats probably one of the biggest things i was excited for is to walk in the building and see all the guys i know. They have my back like players have each others back in this league because its a business. At the end of the day, and it was really cool to see everybody. Theres certain points throughout it that were more stressful than others, but i trust the team around me. I know that they have my best interest in mind. I trusted the 49 ers organization and all of them to work well with with my guys, and i had trust all along, but it definitely was stressful. Its going to be a weight off my shoulders and im just going to be able to really not really think about the negative thoughts that come along with playing this game and just just be free out there and play for one reason. And to win games. And week one concludes with the bills and jets monday night right here on abc seven. Now earlier this week i caught up with the new host of monday night countdown on espn, Scott Van Pelt, to get a National Perspective on the 49 ers. I like him a lot. I think vegas does and i found the preseason conversation really fascinating as it as it related to trey like i get it theres this curious city about whats going to happen and i just kept bringing up they were 13 and four. They found a guy that they really like at 262 or whatever he was picked. Mr. Irrelevant will in this sport, if you have a if you dont have a quarterback, you have no chance. But if you find one, it doesnt matter where you do. And it is pretty clear that lynch shanahan, the team like they have belief in purdy. I think the reason they believe in him is because everything that surrounds him, all the pieces offensively and then that defense, which, you know, obviously boasts of getting the bag on wednesday, puts everybody at ease. I love him. I love what they are. I wish just from a selfishly from a sports fans perspective, i wish brock didnt get hurt against philadelphia. Yeah. Because i was really interested to see what that game was going to look like and its hard to get back to that place, right . Its try winning. I say this all the time. Chris winning is hard. Its really hard to do in sports and i think the niners are as well positioned as anybody, particularly in the nfc to do that. Who are their biggest challengers in the nfc or maybe in the league. They obviously want to get to las vegas at the end of the year but it is like you mentioned, it is really hard to get to where they do. Who are their Biggest Challenges . Philadelphia jumps off the page just because of what they were last year. One of these years, dallas is going to string some wins together. Last year they finally won a playoff game for the first time in a long time and obviously battle San Francisco. I think i think dallas and philadelphia, the ones that are the most obvious, the thing though, about sports every year thats such fun is that someone will will step forward. I dont know who it is. The nfc west went from being the most rugged neighborhood on the block to suddenly being San Franciscos pretty clearly with seattle, a step behind. But i look in the nfc east for the biggest challengers for San Francisco in my opinion. Thanks to rsvp for that lets kick it quakes in d. C. And this Security Guard a hike, a bench press a car scoreless into the second half, 64th minute. Jeremy ebobisse a great chance but it goes off the other side of the net. No goal. Look at the net shake right there. So close just six minutes later, d. C, the blast. But quakes keeper daniel leaps and knocks it away for a great save. And this thing ends in a nil nil draw. No American Woman had won the us open since 2017. 19 year old coco goff looking to change that. She dropped the first set to arianna sabalenka but stormed back to win the next two and after championship point for her first grand slam title uh. All the emotions flooding out, of course , theres always a bay area connection somewhere. Oakland native brad gilbert joined her team as a consultant in the summer. Gilbert still has a tennis shop up in marin county, gets a big hug coming up from golf and legend Billie Jean King presents her with the trophy. Goff is the youngest american to win the open since Serena Williams did that in 1999. Abc7 sports is sponsored by river rock casino. Zach all right. And thats it for tonight.
