Office yesterday. What happened there this morning . Reporter deputies reopened the Boulder County Sheriffs Office just before 11 00 this morning after clearing the scene. Fbi agents had this place shut down for a while this morning while searching that tan Ford Explorer you see in connection with the improvised explosive device that was found in a backpack tuesday in front of the Nederland Police department. Taking a look at this video here that we just scene tape after finding nothing suspicious inside the suv. An fbi spokesperson says agents searched the vehicle out of an abundance of caution. When the suvs owner came forward with information. Late tuesday night a sergeant coming into work saw the backpack and brought it into the station, thinking it was left there on accident. A bomb squad discovered it was early wednesday morning. Now fbi agents are conducting interviews, examining the device and working this case around the clock they say to try to determine who left it there. Oh, its a big deal because its so scary. This is the center of town. It will be like fireworks. We waited and we waited and we waited. Finally all we heard was a big bang. That wouldnt be fair if it was just the Election Officials doing the testing. So the democratic and republican parties selected one person each to oversee the system. They were the ones filling out the test ballots. Its a pretty long process. Each had to fill out hand tally. They also test the tab let devices again, voting 25 times each. This entire process takes about three hours. I think theyre still inside now. Testing of the ballots, thats straightforward. Another concern for officials here that theyre dealing with, not just in denver, but all over is cyber security. Experts say registration voter all our devices and scanning equipment is on an air gaped nonnetwork system. Its not attached to the internet in any way, so theres no vulnerability in terms of getting inside this system outside of the office itself. Now things are Getting Better in north carolina, but there are still flooding concerns in the aftermath of hurricane mahe with record crests forecasted for the weekend. Many roads across the state are still closed there and are going be closed even after the water recedes for safety assessments. 30 red cross volunteers from colorado and montana are helping out with that flood relief.
