They brought him to Childrens Hospital earlier today in Critical Condition but still alive, amazing when you consider he may have been underwater for up to 10 minutes earlier today. This is where it happened at creek and vallejo near the fairgrounds. The toddler was there fishing with his grandmother. He was sitting on a wall. She looked away for a moment and he fell in. The grandma jumped in but couldnt find him. The water is 5 feet deep, very murky. A man passing by, he tried to find the boy too but couldnt. Fire crews say they arrived within a minute of getting the 911 call and found the 2yearold boy in a drainpipe thats connected to the creek and finally pulled him out. When the company arrived on scene, within 45 seconds to a minute they were able to identify the child and pull him from the water quickly. The grandmother was taken to a different hospital, possibly suffer ing from hypothermia and shock and at last check the little boy is in Critical Condition. North korea has released a video message from an 85yearold palo alto veteran detained in the country. The government claims its his apology for war crimes. At least eight people are confirmed dead after a Police Helicopter crashed in to a crowded scotland pub. As Danielle Nottingham reports, the death toll could rise. Reporter what began as a friday night at the local pub ended in tragedy as a Police Helicopter fell out of the sky. I heard a very loud explosion. I had no idea a helicopter was involved. The explosion stopped me in my tracks. Reporter witnesses reported hearing engine trouble right before it crashed through the roof of the pub. Over 100 people were inside the packed bar listening to a local band perform. At least five died on the ground. Three of the eight fatalities were found within the helicopter. Reporter rescuers are combing through the debris, searching for more victims. They say it could take several days to remove the wreckage and see whats beneath it. This is a very challenging, very complex and a very difficult rescue situation. Reporter investigators still have no idea what caused the Police Helicopter to drop out of the sky. In the end miguel never dug up birth certificates or tracked down long lost family. During his countrys vulnerable time he did unveil new insights about the people. They always have a smile on their face. They work hard. They take care of their families and theyre going to be taking care of their families for quite some time to come. Weeks after typhoon haiyan the death toll stands at 5600 and 1700 are missing. More than a week after a deadly tornado, a man and his dog have been reunited. Reporter a 49yearold man and 14yearold boy were walking along the jetty when a large wave large than five feet higher than the break wall knocked the two in to the water. It appeared an older man was taking pictures of the teenager. He instructed the smaller person, which i suspect was his relative, to go forward on the jetty. He was following him right there. The child is obscured by the sun. Reporter a 35yearold Good Samaritan jumped in. The boy made it thanks to this Good Samaritan who lost his life this morning. A lot of screaming, two gentlemen on top of the rocks. Reporter hugo was fishing this morning and tried to offer aid. I tried to do cpr but when i didnt get any response. Reporter the 41yearold man and the 14yearold boy survived. But the man who tried to rescue the boy didnt make it. Hes the real hero because he saved a little boy. The man and teenager are reported to be in good condition. The Coroners Office will not release the name of the Good Samaritan until all the family members have been notified. The two people pulled from the water are okay. Opponents kept the planned parenthood clinic out of redwood city but now the agency is opening one nearby. The new facility is on El Camino Real in north fair oaks, scheduled to open on monday. Picketers were out today across from the new location.
