John roberts starts us off with an important phone call. Good evening, john. Good evening to you. President trump long complained the Mueller Investigation was a cloud over the u. S. Russian relations. Today the president tried to get back to doing business with russia but the Mueller Report continued to loom large. It was the first time in weeks President Trump has spoken with russian president Vladimir Putin, a phone call that lasted more than an hour. President trump saying they talked about the russian hoax and that putin seemed to muse by the findings of the Mueller Report. We discussed he actually sort of smiled when he said something to the effect that it started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse. House democrats are in active negotiations with Robert Mueller to appear before the house judiciary committee. Asked whether he would like to see mueller testify, President Trump said it is not up to him. Its up to our attorney general who i think has done a fantastic job. The president will decide whether to allow former white House Counsel don mcgann to testify before congress or claim executive privilege and block him. President trump said he hadnt made up his mind yet. That will all be determined in the next week or so. Democrats gave the attorney general a last chance to avoid contempt of congress. In a letter to william barr, dialing back some of the demands for investigating materials related to the Mueller Report but Standing Firm on the insistence that they get them. I think thats the only thing nadler has at this point to be conciliatory. How ridiculous and silly he and his delegation looked yesterday. The president had the winds of a Strong Economy in his sails today. The april jobs report showing 263,000 people found work last month. Far more than the 190,000 projected. The Unemployment Rate dropped to a 50year low of 3. 6 . The Labor Participation rate also dropped. White house officials put that down to a random fluctuation, but the president was thrilled with the overall findings. We have the lowest Unemployment Rates for different groups of people, whether its africanamerican, asian, hispanic. A Strong Economy could give the president a huge boost going to 2020, which is why the House Speaker today tried to blunt the moment momentum. In a statement nancy pelosi saying unfortunately the evidence shows most of the economic gains continue to benefit those already well off. Not so, said the president s chief Economic Advisor today. The strength in jobs and wages is coming from the middle and the lower middle. Its the blue collars. In his phone call with Vladimir Putin, President Trump tide discussed the possibility of a new nuclear arms deal, one that might also include china. And while President Trump and putin did discuss the Mueller Report, the president said, he did not bring up possible russian meddling in the 2020 election. Chris . John roberts reporting for the white house. John, thanks for that. The dow responded to the good jobs news with the 197point gain. The s p 500 was up 28. Nasdaq surged 127 for a record high close. For the week, the dow was off 1400ths of a point, the s p 500 and nasdaq were off about 1 5. Analysis of the strong economic numbers, Deirdre Bolton joins us from new york. Good evening, deirdre. Good evening, chris. The Services Industry showed a really strong job growth. Computer designer, social worker, health care professionals, had the most opportunities. Construction, financial services, they saw the next biggest gains, and while manufacturing jobs grew, only muted gains for a Third Straight tepid month. Retail and utilities, they were the worst. They saw jobs lost. And now losses are for three consecutive months. President trump tweeted jobs, jobs, jobs, after the report. The Unemployment Rate for women fell last month to 3. 1 , the lowest points since 1953, the rate for latinos drop to 4. 2 , a record low since 1973 when the government began tracking the data. For asians, joblessnd matched a record low of 2. 2 . The Unemployment Rate for veterans and the iraq and afghanistan wars drops to 1. 7 . Overall, average hourly pay rose 3. 2 from last year at this time, a rate that matches a previous months data. Heres the acting omb director. Good for the American People, they have more takehome pay. We think theres just more and more good news that we can be excited about and the American People are going to benefit from. Most economists see the combination of jobs growth and wage growth as ideal and as close to goldilocks as possible. Strategists say the balanced data should encourage confidence to keep rates on hold. So todays jobs report, the most recent read on u. S. Economic growth and earnings coming in stronger than forecast are factors fueling investor optimism, case in point the green on the screen today with the nasdaq hitting a new record high. Chris . Back to you. Chris Deirdre Bolton with very strong economic news, deirdre, thank you. Venezuelan Opposition Leader is taking the effort to win over the Nations Armed forces back to the street with a new push outside of military bases. Human rights group say a 15yearold boy is the latest to die in the unrest. That brings the death total to five this week. Tonight, correspondent elson barbara is on venezuelas border with colombia where each day citizens flee the crisis in their once prosperous nation. Elson . Hi, chris. Many cross on this bridge illegally every day. They go to colombia to gets then they cross and go back to venezuela. Others cross illegally and do it over here in an area called las croces, the trenches. In order to cross the border, they must pay a fee to the madurocontrolling militia. Today they started shooting. Every venezuelan and colombian in this area ducked and ran for cover. Around 12 19 p. M. , local time. Shots rang out over the bridge. It went on for 30 minutes. Families, children, elderly people running, screaming, fearing for their lives. Roughly 25,000 venezuelans crossed the border into colombia every day. The people we met said they had no choice, they need food and medicine and its impossible to get it in venezuela. This is mr. Perez. Our life changed in a blink of an eye. He used to be an engineer. Now i dont have any job at all and i live from selling pieces of cakes. He still lives in venezuela but says its impossible to find work or basic necessities. You hear your president saying he will solve problem, but then he says the problems dont exist at all. If he says that, we dont exist. The citizens dont exist. The Opposition Leader and u. S. Backed president is calling for more protests after the country seemed to settle back into a political stalemate. He took to twitter asking for soldiers to protest outside of military bases tomorrow morning. This as disputed president Nicholas Maduro continues to demonstrate a stronghold on the military. Without signs of an arresting or taking definitive action against the uprising he started to sage this week. As for perez, he says the problems he experiences is because of maduros regime and hopes the u. S. Steps in, even if it means bloodshed. Many people say people can die. Let me tell you something, theres people dying every day, because of health issue, theres no medicine. It can be my own blood. I dont care, theres no future with this government. This is one kilo of cheese,. 2 pounds. To buy this in venezuela, he would have to save an entire month of his wages. Alison, thank you. The president s top military intelligence and National Security officials met today to talk about venezuela. Afterward, correspondent Jillian Turner spoke with National Security advisor, john bolton. After a disappointing week, has boltons outlook changed on regime change in venezuela . Despite the fact that events on the ground didnt go guidos way this week, his takeover fizzled out before it began, the National Security advisor sounds pretty sanguine. I put it this way, they ran a play. They didnt gain any yards. They got up, dusted himself off. Bolton joined the secretary of defense this morning at the pentagon to strategize about the u. S. Next steps and seems to confirm that President Trump has asked for military blueprints. One of my functions to make sure that when he asks for options, theyre ready to go. Thats true across the board on the whole range of ways we can act the situation in venezuela. A meeting in the tank is one of them. Government officials had pledged to defect and join gui ing guido this week but failed to to do so. Any chance that everything that transpired this week was a setup by the maduro regime . Theyre not that smart. It demonstrates the importance of the cuban presence in venezuela. If the cuban presence disappeared by waving a magic wand right now, maduro would be out by midnight. Bolton may be overshooting on that one, sources say, chris. Chris the president s team is beginning to give some hints about the closelyguarded middle east peace plan, what are you learning . The point man on this, jared kushner, hinted for the first time the actual substance on that plan and dropped a bombshell. It means one thing to the israelis, and one thing to the palestinians. We said, you know, lets not say it. They take issue with this. This solution has been a palestinian precondition for negotiations for decades. But bolton doesnt seem phased. I think one of the real significant features of this plan when its fully rolled out will be that it doesnt necessarily conform to the terms and concepts of prior efforts. Bolton and kushner are both convinced theyre the right people and nows the right time to resurrect israelipalestinian negotiations. And according to fox news sources, their plan is getting rolled out in a few weeks in june. Chris . Jillian, thank you. As john roberts reported earlier, President Trump said he didnt bring up russian meddling in next years election in todays phone call with Vladimir Putin, but they did talk about the 2016 election. Tonight chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge has more from her interview with President Trump yesterday. White house officials said the hourlong phone call between President Trump and the russian leader briefly touched on the special council investigation. In a thursday interview, the president said he believes Vladimir Putin knows a line has been drawn. Has he told the russian president to back off the 2020 election . I dont think i spoke about the 2020, but i certainly have told him you cant do what youre doing. I dont believe they will be. I dont believe they will. Have you been firm with the russian president . I think so. The president elaborated on tweets claiming the last administration dropped the ball in 2016. President obama in september before the november election, my november election, if you look, he was told by the fbi and others about russia. He did nothing about it. What could he have done . He could have done something. Youve heard that many times. Didnt affect the vote. But i dont want russia or anyone else playing around with our election. With attorney general barrs review, the russian probe is under fresh scrutiny including a surveillance warrant for Campaign Aide carter page. The president told fox all associated records will be declassified. Decided to do it. Ill be doing it very soon. Far more than you would have thought. Another Campaign Aide that pled guilty to lying to the fbi other the russian contracts responded to the New York Times reporting. The fbi sent an investigator to target him. She was really flirty, trying to do two things, one to extract information about my professional connections in the middle east, and, two, to see if i had any information that she could potentially extract from me about trump in russia, which is, of course, nonsense. The ranking republican on the House Intelligence Committee is now pressing the state department, fbi, cia, and nsa about joseph masoud, a mysterious academic that appeared in media reporting as the alleged link between papadopoluos and russia. They uncovered evidence linking him to Foreign Government agencies. The records and responses about the questions of the special counsel and investigations no later than may 10. The Inspector General report on the abuse is expected this month or next, chris . Chris katherine, thank you. Says 10 Million People in north korea are suffering from severe food shortages, this comes after the communist nation experiences one of the worst harvests in a decade. Hunger is only part of the challenge. The regimes brutality hit home for Many Americans with the story of student otto warnbier. Tonight we talk to his mother about her familys ordeal and u. S. Efforts to work with the north korean government. My gorgeous boy, who every girl had an immediate crush on, looked like a monster. Cindy described seeing her once healthy son, otto, unresponse for the first time after north korea released him. The look in his eyes, i didnt know he was blind at the time, was absolute horror, horror, he had seen the devil and he had. Otto died days later, the warnbier family is keeping up pressure on north korea as the Trump Administration negotiates with kim jongun to relieve it of ballistic missiles. It acknowledged it was a difficult task. The biggest problem is that the u. S. Or International Communities can not take any kind of physical action because he is holding hostage 23 Million People. Even state Department Officials acknowledge the regimes brutality, saying the protracted humanitarian crisis of the people faced by north korea is created by the dprk regime. President trump met twice with kim and described a great relationship with the north korean leader. The two suggested a third summit, negotiations ottos mother says are a farce. Theres a charade going on right now. Its called diplomacy. How can you have diplomacy with someone that never tells the truth . Cindy warnbier also responded to the recent revelation that north korea billed the United States 2 million for her sons medical care. She says had she known north korea wanted money for otto, she would have paid, from day one. Chris . Chris thank you. A federal court has ruled that ohios congressional map is unconstitutional. And a new one must be drawn for the 2020 election. District boundaries were manipulated for partisan gain for republican lawmakers. The ruling blocks ohio from holding another election under the current map. Up next, how news on the economy creates problems for democrats, hoping to challenge President Trump in 2020. Five deals. Terminix. Defenders of home. Chris as we reported at the the top of the program, the Unemployment Rate lowered 3. 1 , the lowest rate for a half a century. It presents a challenge for the democrats hoping to run against President Trump next year. How the top contenders are dealing with it. Democrats cant deny, the economy is doing well. The stock market is roaring. Certainly were making progress and thats great. The stock market is the highest its been. The Unemployment Rate is as low as its been. However, for these candidates, theres a but. You dont feel it. A 2 trillion tax cut last year. Did you feel it . Did you get anything from it . Is it fast enough for most americans . I dont think so. The way President Trump sees things, none of the democratic arguments are stronger than the economic indicators. Ill be running on the economy. Joe biden has been running on his experience, but if catching heat for the way he described a Program Designed to teach uneducated women in detroit how to code. So they went out literally into the hood and they found, it turned out, 54 all women, the vast majority of the women were color, no one was more than a high school degree. Trump Campaign Advisor katrina persson tweeted, wth the hood . Oh, where black people went. Not biden, but beto with the best chance to beat President Trump, with a hypothetical poll, biden and sanders lead by six, Kamela Harris by four. The only one he beats in these hypotheticals, elizabeth warren. Which means part of the early strategy may have paid off. I attacked so violently, pocahontas. And i knocked her out of the race, i guess. But, theres a long way to election day. After all, at about this point last cycle, quinn bee yak had Hillary Clinton beating every republican headtohead, and paul, cruz, and christie all did better against clinton than trump who wasnt even a candidate yet, but it turned out okay for him. Chris . Chris thank you. Theres a much more sensitive issue facing the Democratic Candidates. Its reparations for slavery. This evening, Mike Emmanuel looks at whats at stake and where do the candidates stand. Some 2020 democratic president ial candidates say its time to pay africanamericans for their ancestors suffering during slavery. I believe its time to start the National Full blown conversation about reparations. In this country. The first africanamerican president barack obama never proposed reparations. Now beto orourkes says he understands why reparations may be necessary. To be sure we know our true history, our true story, so we stop visiting injustices on future generations and begin the work of repairs. But an africanamerican candidate expressed concern the issue is being exploited. Tell you why im frustrated and disappointed by the reparations conversation its being reduced to a box to check on a president ial list. When this is so much more of a serious conversation. Initially senator Bernie Sanders sounded skeptical. There are better ways to do that than just writing out a check. That created an opening for julian castro. If the issue is compensating the descendents of slaves, i dont think the argument about writing a big check ought to be the argument you make. Facing criticism, sanders got onboard with studying it, but its not clear how to do it. Theres legislation in the house as you know, its said if a house and senate pass it, i will sign it. One of the issues is very clear is that trauma, years of trauma or even one experience with trauma, can lead to lifelong consequences. I support the commission to study reparations. And when i am president , i will sign that commission into law and get it started. Mayor Pete Budigieg jumped at the opportunity to understand the struggle. Its also one of stress between generations. You cant you cant tie that boat down and then wonder why its getting flooded when the tide is rising. The issue of reparations does not poll well, 16 strongly in favor in a recent fox poll, 17 somewhat in favor. But of those people are going to be fired up voters in a democratic primaries, that could be why Democratic Candidates dont want to appear out of touch. Chris . Chris mike, thank you. Up next, brett baier about what americans could learn from india about election security. Chris tonight, u. S. Election security with an unlikely source. Hes indias ambassador to the u. S. My colleague brett baier tells us how this country could learn some important lessons from an asian ally. Worried about voter turnout in 2020, the u. S. Could take notes from india. Voters are casting ballots in one of seven phases that come to an end in three weeks. Indias ambassador to the u. S. There are 897 million registered voters, we have a million polling booths, 11 million workers who, you know, supervise the elections. And you have close to about 80 to 90 million firsttime voters within the ages of 18 and 23. Brett total number of voters . Half a billion people. We have 64 turnout so far. Brett 64 . India supports every five years and the voting is 100 electronic. The top issue, economic growth. Keep in mind 70 of the indian electorate is below 40 years of age. A young population, theyre an aspirational generation. Brett terrorists, nine suicide bombers in neighboring sri lanka targeting christians killing more than 250 people on easter sunday. South of india, sri lanka received intelligence from the northern neighbor before the attack. Somef it seemed to be quite precise. Brett no clue why it may have been ignored . Well get answers once the investigation process is over. We do come across information that is available to some countries. Terrorists in india who are not in sri lanka or bangladesh or me paul. Theyre all in some ways or another linked to each other. Brett india is seeing an isis effort to hunt for more targets after the territory in iraq and syria fell apart at the hands of the u. S. The isis model, you can do that in any part of the world. Youre using the internet, youre using the social media. And clearly theyre targeting parts of our region. Brett the relationship with nucleararmed neighbor, pakistan, is still intense with new threats from both sides this week of retaliation for any aggression. Can you imagine a time when india and pakistan will Work Together to dismantle Nuclear Weapons inside those countries. Theres been an entire history of attempts to work with them in a constructive manner. Where theres an attempt to work in a manner thats constructive and in favor of peace, there are elements within that state, that act against our interests. And then i think terrorism so any of the major terrorist incidents in the world from 9 11 on wards has had some linkage to pakistan. Its the ability to dismantle terrorism, and then we will get the other things. Brett the biggest flash point, kashmir, a largely muslim area between the twocountries, pakistan insists indias control of the region is illegal and kashmiris should determine its own future. India sees kashmir as part of its own country. From this administrations hard ball moves, pulling funding for pakistan for supporting and harboring terrorists has changed the dynamic. President trump has been the one u. S. President that talked about the threat of terrorism emanating from pakistan and taken actions. In other words, hes walked the talk. Brett as for u. S. Military involvement in afghanistan and the prospects for a deal with the taliban. After 18 years in afghanistan, we fully understand the u. S. Sentiment for an exit policy. Brett but you think a Peace Process is workable. Its a good chance that it could succeed. But if its done in a hasty manner and too many concessions have conceded to the taliban, then it could lead to a situation which is similar to the pre9 11 period. So clearly one has to be it has to be carefully considered. Also carefully considered, the u. S. India trade relationship. Amid growing u. S. Tensions with various trade deals. The ambassador insists india gets the message loud and clear. 422 billion. I think its going up steadily every year. U. S. Forces in india gone up by a whopping 30 last year. Last year we purchased 1 billion of oil and gas. This year, we have a commitment to 5. 5 million. Placed 300 commercial aircraft for 39 billion. We had open for business, were very happy that the dominican countries are investing in india. I think business is doing well and we should allow it to continue that way. Mr. Am bahs thank you for the time. Thank you, brett. Chris next up, well bring in the panel to discuss the strong economic numbers. The trumpputin phone call today, plus, winners and losers. Chris rapid increase in wages in the last ten years and the best increase of wages in the last year has been among working americans, blue collar americans. Chris Vice President celebrating strong numbers today. Lets take a look. The u. S. Economy added 263,000 scrubs in april, far exceeding predictions of 190,000 and the Unemployment Rate dropped to 3. 6 . Thats the lowest since 1969. Time to bring in our panel, none of whom were born until after 1969. I think thats not quite true. But maybe it is. Charles hurd of the washington times, susan pate from usa today. And Washington Post columnist, mark. And i, of course, was born long before 1969. All right, sigh san. The socalled experts just a couple of months ago were projecting that the First Quarter growth was under 2 , it ended up 3. 2 . They were talking about the recession at the end of the year. It seems the socalled experts were flat wrong. This is supposed to be impossible, right . To have this kind of growth, this kind of low unemployment, not a inflation not a problem. This is a remarkable economy, an incredible historic recovery. And the predictions is there is a looming recession. Dont really look true at the moment. Chris theres a new poll out. Not surprisingly even before the numbers today showed that 56 of americans approve of the president s handling of the economy. Thats the highest number in that poll since he became president. This may be the reason why. Look at these numbers, this is from the Trump Inauguration until today on gdp growth, on unemployment, on consumer confidence, on wages, all up substantially since President Trump took office. Charlie, obviously most importantly, its good news for america. But how good news is it for President Trump and his Reelection Campaign . I think its tremendous news. Its everything that the president wants to build his Reelection Campaign on. And thats the best strategy for building a campaign a Reelection Campaign. And, of course, in a weird way, i think that all of the circus we see in washington, the Mueller Report, russia, all that stuff, all that in a way plays into the president s hands because as long as he can sort of point to the economy and democrats are talking about all of this other stuff, he winds up by comparison looking fairly serious and being concerned about the things that most Americans Care about, which is, you know, their own pocketbook and the economy. Chris which raises the question, how do democrats find a way to play down very strong economic news. Theres no two ways about it. This is a very Strong Economy. Here is how joe biden went about it in one area this way. The stock market is roaring. But you dont feel it. Theres 2 trillion tax cut last year. Did you feel it . Did you get anything from it . Of course not. Of course not. All of the folks at the top. Chris obviously folks at the top paid the most so they do get the biggest from the tax cut. But the Washington Post fact checker looked and, in fact, the vast majority of working class, middle class americans, also got a substantial tax cut. And he gave the worst rating you can give on a statement by anybody for pinocchio, four long noses. Not helpful for joe biden to say that. Not at all, great news for america, bad news for joe biden. The biggest economic problem we have in america right now is that there are more job openings today than there are Unemployed People to fill them. Small business according to nfib, small businesses, 90 said theyre having trouble finding qualified applicants for jobs. Are you feeling it . Yes, the forgotten americans. Because manufacturing jobs, half a Million Manufacturing jobs created in the last year, and wages for those in the wall street journal raised wages for those at the bottom without a High School Education road 6 , which is outpacing everybody else. Joe bidens rationale for his campaign is im going to go win back the forgotten americans who voted for trump in states like ohio and michigan and wisconsin. Its 2. 9 . Are those people going to switch horses with 2. 9 unemployment because joe biden came along . I dont think so. Very bad news for biden. The whole rationale is i can win the voters back. Susan, how do joe biden, how do democrats try to win back those voters when you have a 3. 6 Unemployment Rate and you have wages going up 3. 2 in the last year . So, we dont have a precedent in modern times with a president this strong losing his bid for reelection. Theres one opening for democrats. We see the polls that the economy is good, we recognize that but they say the country is head in the wrong direction. Even though people understands this recovery continues, theres concern about the direction of the country in other ways. Those are measures that move into some synchronization. The economy is good, the country is headed in the right direction, that hadnt happened this time. Charlie, i want to switch subjects on you. Because there was another piece of big news today, that is the fact that we learned that the president was on the phone with Vladimir Putin for more than an hour. They talked about everything from venezuela to the possibility of a new arms control deal, to according to trump, the quote, russia hoax. What part of that in what weve heard and we havent heard much about that. What part of that interests you most. The most interesting thing to me is, you know, at the beginning before the whole theres a real sigh of relief out of the president , out of the white house, the outcome of the Mueller Report. Goes back to what he said. Wouldnt it be great if we got along with russia. Wouldnt it be great to work with putin . Its the first time that we know of that he spoke to putin after since the release of the report. It allows them to go back to that. It is a legitimate point to make of his. Obviously, were adversarieadve but if we can Work Together in fighting terror, i realize there are lots of that gets into a lot of thorny issues, but if we can Work Together in fighting terrorism, if we can Work Together in doing anything on the global stage that is in keeping with american values, is that not a positive thing . Probably. And i think that conversation is probably part of that. Mark, it was interesting. The president gave a little bit of a readout today in the oval office. And he said that putin, when they talked about 2016, and the muhlever report, that putin said something, you know, this began as a big deal, i forgot the word, and it ended up as a mouse a mountain and ended up as a mouse. And then he was asked, did you say anything about laying off in 2020. He said, no, that didnt come up. Does that surprise you a little . It surprises me a little bit. He also told Catherine Herridge yesterday hes been tough with putin about it behind the scenes in the past. We dont know whats happening in the private conversations that the president is having. But one of the Silver Linings of the Mueller Report said President Trump felt compelled to have a top policy with russia. He removed from the imf treaty. He put sanctions on the putin regime. It will be interesting to see if he continues that hard line or if he feels freed from that hard line because the mueller cloud is off. But the other thing, the other effect of that is also it gives him freedom. One of the reasons why the poll numbers are so bad despite the economy, because for two years, hes been dealing with the russia investigation. When you deal when youre under attack the way he has been, called a traitor and a russian agent, you coalesce around you base to stick with your supporters. Hes free to go out and reach to people that wasnt when the Mueller Probe was happening. Chris were running out of time. He put out a tweet that was untrumpian and a kumbaya, lets all get together, lets all Work Together. Some people are very skeptical about it. Do you think its possible this could be a time for the page turn in the Trump Presidency . It could be. One of the biggest problems, the reason the poll numbers and the Approval Rating. The Approval Rating is 43. 6 despite this economy. One of the reasons is is because he hadnt made an effort to reach out and expand his base. Hes been feeding his base. Hes got a chance to do that. Chris i want to leave time for winners and losers. Winners first . Win oref the week, President Trump, picking william barr as the attorney general, americas attorney general, who this week showed himself to be perhaps the only adult on capitol hill. Loser of the week, the pointer institute, for creating a list of fake news publications only to pull the list after they discovered their list was full of fake news. Chris woops. Purdue, cornyn, and danes, three republican senators, their strongest democratic challengers, all decided for Different Reasons not to challenge them. This makes it harder for the democrats to win back the senate in 2020. Loser the White House Briefing room. I was there when it was dedicated with nancy reagan standing there, you know, nice chairs, its air conditioned, its got microphones. Briefings no longer take place there. Today as she has in the past, Sarah Sanders tends to do it out in the white house driveway. And she doesnt do it very often either. No. Chris i was in that Briefing Room for six years. Sometimes you would make your teeth hurt. But sometimes it was pretty darn useful, mark . Winner, bill barr, he spent six hours. Decor rum and professionalism and he overrode them to release the redacted Mueller Report. He promised transparency and he delivered it. The loser is steve cohen who brought a bucket of kfc to block barr for being too chicken to testify. First of all, barr spent six hours getting grilled, pun intended, by the senate the day before.
