you remember them. they kidnapped hundreds of girls and they brought about that hashtag, bring back our girls. aren't you the self described champion of women's rights? the same terrorist organization of boko haram the nonterrorist group to you literally obliterated the town of baga reportedly killing 2,000 innocent citizens. in 2010 you were presented with hard evidence of their terrorism. but no, your state department even after boko rharam bombed te headquarters pushed back against the cia, pushed back against the cia both of them who wanted boko haram designated a terrorist organization. thanks to you since that time they have morphed into an even greater terror threat strapping explosives on little girls using them as suicide bombers. so why not designate them the terrorist org sglargs? reports are you wouldn't designate boko haram even though you were advised of their across cities because of your relationship with a nigerian land developer who gave your family's foundation $5 million and we should trust you with the presidency of the united states? because you wanted to be the leader who could normalize libya. it was so normalized they were massacred in the capitol the first step of the ambassador almost 40 years. you say you wanted to feed isis by dismantling the global network of terror that supplies radical jihadists with fun, arms and fighters. pray tell aren't you the one who reportedly funneled libya's turkey into syria the same arms being used against us? you want to intensify support for local forces who can pursue our enemies on the ground? how are you going to do that when 500 million of our money was spent for local forces who dropped their drawers, dropped their weapons and dropped their guns when they saw isis coming? >> no, i don't. it follows a clear intense framework diplomacy, economic as a way to have all different tools to attack a threat. you don't see anything that even remotely to ted cruz saying we are going to carpet bomb cities. >> we are not talking about him. we are talking about her. what did she say to protect the home land that is different or new? she said she is going to arm the locals. she said he's going to work requewith the coalition. she is going to stop the jihadis o at our front door. it was worse when shez in the state department. >> in terms of looking for something new there's only so many tools in the toolbox. we have to improve intelligence gathering. we have to work the coalition. we have to help people on the ground and empower moderate islamic voices to counter the radical jihadist voices. those are the things that need to be done. it may not be sexy but that's the to do list. >> when you say there are so many tools in the toolbox if it isn't working the last seven years maybe we have at wrong toolbox. >> maybe. i don't think coalition with muslim leaders in the middle east is a broken tool. i think those are good things that we need to continue to do. do we have the results we wanted? not yet. quite frankly we can't give up. we have to remain vigilant. >> the president is going to say that but i guess -- >> ted cruz said carpet bomb them. >> we are talking about your candidate's toolbox. what i want to know is how can you explain her not labelling boko haram a terro organization. when she goes out and says i am going to destroy all of the terrorist organizations she doesn't recognize that for what they are. to what do you attribute that? >> i think a lot of people look back at 2012 and wished they had moved that designation up a bit. there was not unanimous consent within the policy expert. >> the cia and fbi decided and pushed back against her. there were atrocities. this was nothing new. she wouldn't do it. part is to cut off the economic ties and have this money go into the terrorist organizations. >> she didn't have the terrorist organizations for the economic benefits to us? >> baz there was no u.s. ties at the time the fear was a recruiting tool. a lot of people wish they had moved that designation up and faster. i am finding now there's this continuing, we are going to that i that this this will be a recruiting tool. >> it will be a recruiting tool if we don't post guantanamo. forget that. they want to kill us anyway. this whole thing about her strategy of containing and destroying now isis, she is saying she is not going to put american troops on the ground. how is she going to get the locals in this country to actually do that? >> i think again i want to go back a little bit to the idea of recruiting. it is an important strategy. when they are up we have to what can them down. we have to make sure more moles aren't being reproduced faster than the ones we have got. it's an incredible start of that strategy. to your question about how do we engage people on the ground i think use of special forces and highly targeted missions. it's the best intelligence. >> haven't we been doing that? >> the best intelligence and allies we have are within the muslim community and they are on the ground within the region. we need to work with them and continue to work with them. it is not about political correctness. the anti muslim rhetoric makes it harder to be militarily successful. >> she didn't even say it. in the speech it was about extremist jihadists. >> she did a good job of distinguishing -- >> p isn't every jihadist a muslim? >> no, it doesn't surprise me because our president doesn't mean what he says has he has no interest in winning. what his interests is containing. next year it will be somebody else's problem. that is the president's policy. i inherited a problem. you are going to inherit a problem. this president did not go in to win. it wasn't his military advisors that were giving that kind of advice it was the people around obama. >> the political operatives. >> exactly. >> let's talk about the fact that we have got this debate this past week. i want to move on. the whole issue of cruz and trump and now there is a nonaggression pact between trump and cruz. >> they are playing aech other. cruz want to pick up supporters if trump were to stumble and fall. trump is playing cruz because it is good to have some kind of an ally in a field of 15. how will it help anybody if you are in it to win it. you are in to be number one not 2 or 3 as far as the pack is concerned. >> there's 20 point difference between trump and cruz and people are talking about a possible trump cruz ticket. does that make sense to you? >> it does not. here's the reason. ted cruz might win iowa. when you win stuff you start getting momentum. if trump doesn't win and he's winning in national polls but doesn't win in the ballot boxes going to implode. people want to go with winners and winners tend to be the ones who pins elections. >> didn't governor huckabee win io iowa. didn't rick santorum win iowa in the past few years? that's not really the indicator. that's not the only place that's an issue. he was talking about the 7 states i that i believe win the electoral college. wouldn't sharp be better off going with ohio, kasich, rubio, florida? >> what does cruz bring to a ticket? doesn't bring very much. that's the point. it's about math and adding up the numbers that is going to win you the election. republicans are in a deficit. in most states we are at a deficit as far as republican and democrat registration. we need to pick off some conservative democrats and independents and women are going to turn the election. if you want to win you can get somebody that may help you do that. >> this motor vote touar-- vote registration you can goat and saying i am joe smith and john bow in three boats in three different states? >> we want to support christians wherever they are at however they are harassed. christians are killed for their faith. it's not always that way. right now for example we have 300,000 christians in iraq and syria who are under persecution. their lives are at steak. many people lost their lives because of that one region. that gives you a little snapshot around the world. >> that we want to do is help christians in the home land. we will provide training for them provide how to stand in the face of the storm. we want to help christian refugees. right now we are helping them on the ground to have housing and food and medical care so they can stay in their region. that is one of the things nobody is talking about in this refugee crisis. we have the opportunity to help christians and syrians stay in their own country rather than go to europe, go to other countries and we are not doing it to the scale we need to. >> david, what you are talking about is more in their own home land providing them with some of the essentials you need. you are not really involved in the refugees that were leaving in the refugee camps and those types of organizations that take them to the refugee countries. >> we are not dealing right now in europe. what we want to do is see the christians stay in their home land. that should be the first goal. i think it is a secondary issue now as we do not deal with the syrians in the country where they should be, where they want to be. the secondaries have questions. we have to stand up for these people in their home land. >> the problem is when you say stand up for them when you have el shabab or isis you are killing them how do you stand up to people who are slaughtering you. this is the first time in 2,000 years christmas mass is not going to be celebrated in mosul. >> you are absolutely right. it is a tragedy. we need to see civil government standing up within their bou boundari boundaries. that's the first step. we need to fight against what's happening in these regions we need to say something about what's happening. as civilians we need to stand up in the humanitarian crisis help these christians being pushed outer their home land. 10 years ago there was a million 300,000 christians now almost 200,000 in iraq. that's how big this is. >> this would have been millions displayed as christians. >> in iraq because nobody is protecting them. >> where are they going? >> thank you for having us this evening. we represent over 200 police correction locals through out the new england area. they are the largest police union in the granite state and i can tell you this support didn't come as lightly, we did a lot of vetting of the people that we wanted to entertain and endorse so we did that. >> why donald trump? >> quite frankly, you look at we sent out thing peltop eight peo including the top three democratic challengers both martin o'malley, bernie sanders and the former senator from new york hillary clinton. the talk contenders on the republican side. two people responded one being jeb bush who said he rouge oth pe hou -- he wouldn't be able to make it and the new hampshire state director and larger police department one being the wooster police department in massachusetts went to his office and spoke to him for over an hour about some of the details and concerns we had. >> what is it about donald? >> it is plan it is as plane ai you can see. nobody wanted to talk about backing police officers. mr. trump came out since our endorsement and before our endorsement in support of police officers. he spoke about what he would do including the death penalty for the killing of a police officer. for one candidate and only one candidate to come out against law enforcement we have the support of one person. i think he deserves the support of us. >> one of your local unions, local 190 said it was blind sided by the endorsement. tell me about that. >> i have i haven't spoken to him, but the beauty of our organization is everyone who is president of our organization sits on our executive board so therefore everybody has a voice at the table. like many families, the discussions and disagreements and what have you, my own mother is a democrat and she may not support my decision but certainly the overwhelming majority of the people who were there voting for mr. trump. >> there's no question then that donald trump is the one who is against the endorsement and had the numbers for that endorsement. what about the weaponry for local police department? >> at all places that are public. >> we need to empower our department of justice to start to manufacturer or create or start to control the security licensing process to give private security. people will say this isn't israel. we have are 500,000 combat veterans who are training weapons who are good americans and very much interested in helping protect their neighborhoods. we need to implement security measures eerie place where there are crowds of people. we need to have them trained in the active response protocol aside from putting security in some of these places in light of what happened in chattanooga where the guy was just standing there at the recruitment center and gets killed what does the average person have to do. i am in a mall, what am i looking for?
