Cheers. You guys are allll warriors. Inu guys are allll warriors. Youre still Paschen Aboutt whats happening ins happe our military today. What do we mean when wnir e same think the military is going lokke . Is the problem overblown . Military igoinwhat do you guys . Its very real. Lown . Its actually coming from the soldier, from the cadets in of tsoldier, from the cadets in whats happeninghe. You know, i found out what wastw being taught at west point,ht a which is a Seminar Titledr Ti how to cope with your whiteness and white rage. Rage at west point, they were recommend dying to not say mom and dad, not say boyfriend girlfriend. Are beinnd. And theyre being taught that the flag that they signed up to die for is inherently at its core, bad. Thatbad. Its that its misogyn, that its racist, that its that its racist, that its a lot of recruits are sayingwe thats not what we signed up for. And it is tearing our military apart in the inside. Yes, impossible to avoidd th the conversation. Woke ism is just simpl y placing the social values of, you know, equal opportunity over the values of the organization. So in the military, it couldr be war fighting. And so i give a Story Infightin wed so i give a Story Infightin we had to give a pitch to minorities to push them intoo combat arms and white students were told they werent allowedtc to go to this pitch. Right. H, right and the thought process was General Officers come from minorities. Yeah genera, so General Officers come co right. Fombat arms,r our viewers, comb, infantry, armor and aviationank. Aviation. E woul we would segregate lets call it one hundred females and black hispanic minority, not white males. And so i stood in front of them and explained this and said, hey, its very important for you all to look at combat arms because of we need you represented the General Officer ranks. Well, after the speech, i har re three black officers come upsayh to me and said, this is. You should be treating us like equals. And i as the the great officer completely agreed with them. But in that momentr comp, i fel i dont know, i felt afraid. I felt like i had to hold party line. So rather than saying, hey,e wi guys, i agree with you, i Justso Stooodd there and said, hey, look, its important that we are very representative intake the military and that you guys a take a look at combat arms right . People dont speak out whatt wh they know to be true because theres a lot to lose. Right. So the fear of theres going to be repercussions ofssio a currennst of whatever the Theo Thinrrennst of whatever the theo will think if i Say Something,ah am i going to make e a difference . And why would i risk everythinig that i have . I had to kind of step back andck say, i dont believe with this fundamentally, but am i going to make a change and apachemake pilot, i had My Life Savedsave by apache pilots. And so, yeah, actually , it wasu a female. But just hearingyo you acknowledge and say, yeah,wl i mean, the whole race thing, miy the whole minority thing, t be treated as equal. Thats right. Thats correct. Right. We th all thats what everyone equ should want. Al equality. And soitth the Critical Race Theory, just assuming that the system is inherently racist ,i think is shortsighted. When someone throws a stat upsi. And says the Marine Corps Critical Race is inherently racistne say, because theres l black officers in the General Officer ranks whatcer they dont report is that black officers are less likely to go incers ar when asked why, its because usually what they told me wassk. I want a marketable skill. U right. Haveo and so whaast you have to askar yourself as a military professional when youre trying to solve this problem is , is it the militarys at it the militarys at young ages and teachniciti families of differentes ethnicities of why infantry is important . They want to become General Officers or because of this social dynamic that is way beyond just the Military Slice W of the problem. You just look at t it and say theres less black officers as General Officers. Therefore, the system must be inherently racist. Stem must when really i think e should subscribe to we wantstana quality. W we want one standard that we think if you want to be an Infantry Officer , you to be an Whatntry Officer , you to be an apache pilot. If you want to be whatever itac is , you have to achieve theseta standard. Sa i agree what youre saying, its and i often say its about standards, not about gender , about race, not about religion. Relit race, not about religion. To be a marine. This is standard to be the best air force pilot that you cann be or to be a green beret and thats it. You either meet the standard oru you dont, because thats the militarysthe st should be e militarys sole objective is wha t is the standard that wee th need to have the best Military Members we canitar to defend the nation, to defeat our enemy. Its also a choice. It for also a choice. It to the person that chooses combat arms is basicallythey wan a there because they want a there because they want we wanwot to put steel on targe. And regardless, of what your mentality is , that has wi nothing to do with your race, religion, color or creed. Race, i chose to fly apaches bee i wanted to be at the tip of the spear and they will combat and they look very cool. They look amazing. And they have air conditioning. We could car e less when youre on the ground there enure on the ground there on the ground, takero enemy rounds. First of all, the enemydss bullets could care less whatd wn color you are. And when im calling in ai ir support, i could care less what color the pilot is. I just want bombs and rockets on foreheads on the bad guys. Thats it. Ys. Thats it. Body t and thats it. He who can meet the standard . Big yes, that because thatst having the big thing. I mean, if youre not having standards, youre going to allow certain elements ofo am politicsents o to come into pla. And what that does is it puts soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines lives at risk. You have people who cannot perform a job in positions of real p importance, thats why peopleyig die. I mean, look, i was laying on ae battlefield myself. I was bleedingfi out. E if i had people surrounding me who could Notul Meed Not T The Standards physically, ttlefl didnt care to carry me offd, c the battlefield, could not meet the standardould not mandards sf to provide air support, fighting off the taliban to make sure make a medevac co land. La im dead. Im not here. Nd and you know, thats obviously i love being here and i love having my wife. I love being able to growil a family. But when we look at Thisy Problem over time, thi e look as also over hi reduces americas ability r to fight and win wars. I mean, if you have peopleif yoh dying on the battlefield, even people losing their lives, dyinn you have forces losing the ability to project power. Thats an enemy like china. Ilit y to russia beats us. Us so if were Prioritizing Politics over Military Effectiveness and readiness, wes will lose the next war. The br ea we have more modern warrios on the other side of the break. Expand your team with a fiber freelancer. Again were being told time and time again, though, that that diversadiversit is our str. It seems to be the dods number one talking point. Levels. A lot of levels ive had thist argument thrown at me. Att. Ect thrown at me. You brought up a perfectple. Example, lost your legs, need someone to carry you off. I mean, you look like a pretty a big dude. And i waa prs biggeretty back. And that aint even without the legs. I would have a hard time picking you up by myself as a 200 pound man and carrying you off the battlefield. Thisoff the battlefield. Sports . This is what i think abous w. A lot. S equa the wnba is equal opportunity. Oo its not equality. G its saying were giving you ano equal opportunity play. But if wrte wanted equality, you have to try out fory the same team as the nba. Ou now, imagine if there was a Basketball Game was Playedimag Ine and one team was all the be players and one was the strength of diversity. And Yoanher Wa Stu had you had spots reserved for every ethnicityed r and gender. And they playe eved and the losb team was killed because that is the outcome in war. I dont understand whyderstand w sports arent held to the stren same standard of diversity as your strength. Uwe npd maength. A two hundred pound man that is bleeding out from both legshs and somehow when that outcome is death, we have a different philosophy philoso on that. Tant theres an important point in the physicality and the physical fitness and all of that. Right. And thatf that is it takes diff physical dynamics and differentg levels of strength to beth trina a marine than it does to be ormarine than it does to be a Cyber Warrior. Yes, right. Or to be a supply officer. Whath thats calleavd what have you. And so, you know, legislation that we just got in the defensee bill directs the militarysica to lets make the physicals to standards to the job. Standards to the job. And stop dividing men andin women. And , you know, alonmegs gender lines. Right. Its about again, its aboutag standabout again, its aboutag and hitting those standards and making sure they fit the job. Right. If youre oure a Cyber Warrior, hav im not going to haveg to probably drag a Cyber Warrior away from computeraway from their computer, which is the point. We also need Cyber Warriorkeybol we have the combat arms. Walks of we need all different walks ofe. Life. The choice, where did this coe from . Where did the idea Tha T Sociaid the idea tha the military should be a social laboratory for Social Justiceern come from . Wame from . Administration . Was it a certain policy . Military was it i remember women in the military, women in combat roles, omba where where did the a that equity i love your analogy of the nba and the nba. Where did that analysis come . President obama said publicly, i want to see Everresidenty Min have an equal opportunity in mit the military and on the surface, everyone agreesng e with that. Everything were talking about, we all want everyone to have ann equity thats agreed to. D they wanted to do Female S Male Infantry Units To Therine marine corps, spent six monthsnn ,did a female engagement, emembe i remember, and they had a male baremember, and they had a male battalion. And so they carved this ouion, an for six months provided datad that showed readinessan and capability and they provided i provit and said, heys not as effective here as thecti. Data in the six months that weuo used our resources to prove this. Y of the and the secretary of the navy, ray mabus, said , i dont care what were done. Right. So i was at the Basic School Atw the time where we create mlseprd and we do alinl this thing. Prd we do alinl this thing. Briefs to a Panel Calledsory dacoits. Wom its Likene The Defense Advisory for women in combat is a congressional panel. And so that was what i spent most of my time on. E so i was getting frustrated. The Whole Organizationwhole was getting frustrated. So ray mabus thehen came down tl to the basic school to talk to us because this whole conversation that were having was ersation that were having is talking about everything, were what i just said. But therng, e wasaids one point sticks out clearly in my mindcl because everyone agrees everyone should haveearl an equt opportunity to go out and try out for whatever that standard is. But the question is , Arestion Standards going to lowerin to shove in some of these initiatives . And so some captain was brave enough to stand up and say, secretary of the navy. Mavis, i have a question. re can you address standards . Everything youre saying we alln agree with , but our standardso are going to drop. I and this quote is forever etched into my mind like at th common. We looked at the captain. He said standards wont change, but they will evolve. And so that was it. Thats all we got left. Leats all we got left. And we were more so thats kind of so in my mind right around been it just like it wasl of clear to all of us. U it doesnt mattes,r what your feedback is , youre going to dance around questions. You can provide them datnce aron it doesnt matter. And since then, its kind ofy progressively got to have standard and standards had to have actually right now, O The Physical Standards For A Female be coming in into the r the infantry is lower than that a like that is unquestioned. Like that is unquestioned. I agree. Fear if you cant meetgree. The standards right, youre going to havei the physical strength to do these things that the problem this is the problem Whenstre Chan is the problem Whenstre Hard Changes to the military because the military has these t things to experience, we havewi. Seen what it takes to win. Wha weve seen what happens and whys we lose. Thef n they found ways of trying to bring academia into it, putting out your scrapbooks list, saying somebody like Ibraham Kindie i needs to be re. Read. I mean, this guy is literally vouching for racism. The we talk about this stuff before. This is how you get it. C academrthis isi basicallyinated indoctrinated. Thats how you have it taught at the academies. At an officer corps starts buying into this stuff, theyre willing to make excuses for the evolving standards, especially if they haventofficd in war. That scares me. It hur and i think its going to hurt us long term. A what was your experience . K you know, as Aof Black Officer n the military . Y . So when i was coming up in comi our regiment at west pointre twenty four , our brothers and five sisters. Ninety three , this was no3,t a thing. We werent having these kinds h of conversations. And 9 11 Happene Md My Sophomoro year at west point. So my entire class knew thatt were all getting ready to go to war. In soed we trained accordingly. And so when i look at all the the changing of the names of barracks and changed the names of bases and whatnot, this i is all made up Stuff Thatp Stuf happened over the course ofned the past few years. Y guys you sw the past few years. Y guys you sw with brought up and said, i donsaidt want to serve at fot benning or fort bragg because theyre Confederate General. This never happened. Brag and the four years was ans ac eight years active duty ofth the thousands of conversationsaa ive had, this was never a bone of contention. Any complaintsntention on the id at a. P. Hill a ton of times at,t no point do we even ask who is a. P. Hill . You know, i could open hill, a history book and read aboute what he did in the civil war. Gt and later, when i goti my masters, i found out about it. Ma, hey, peoplee that make sense. But, you know, the Peoplealyzin G on the ground are analyzingto that. And there is some you know, its not our jobt to rewritoure history. Its our job to learn from itvov and then evolve and go forward. But Thisd Go Whole Rewriting Ofs History is troubling. You should Say Something real quick, like on top of that, now that were bringing it to the forefront, now that we understand at fort hood, where i was stationed at Confederate General fort rucker, fort bragg, was a rambo training, its actually pretty remarkable to think that, wow, weve comeel a very long way. Eve and if we change the names on these buildings that we have no perspective of it. I am less interested or worrieds about the name of it and beinge like, wow, there was a time where we were naming these after buildings and naming these bases after Confederate Generals e genera and then looke as a black Apache Helicopter pilot. Helicopterilot flyinflying combn baghdad. That is absolutely amazing. And do not want a war that happens outside of america. T wantand i dont want to lose i perspective on the funny thing is to when youre when youre talking whe about renaming thi all these bases. S i mean, congressman, you know,is this stuff costs money. It costs money, millions ofnd dollars to do it. And right now weve go ot on ri barracks and other things that are goinat g on right now that are a deteriorating on our bases. I mean, thats a complaint i get from a lot of Field Greats Officers i talk to is that the barracks for enlisted personnerracksl are becoming quw antiquated. I mean, these things are builtbo 50 years ago, but were goingrei to be spending money on renaming bases and not actually providing adequatermy u army. The just move the last few soldierse out of World War Two barracks called smoke bomb hill on fort m hadnt smoke bomb hill on fort m right. Because they hadnt hadhe the funding to do so to told inh to your point, they care aboutoe mold in the bathrooms. They car e about their Living Conditions and they care abouthi ng thaving the ammo, the equipme and the things and the leadership. Eadership thatthey need to go f. Colonel , you said, though, ure you said nobody cares. , amongs and i think youre right. I mean, among Trigger Pullerspu and everybody but somebody cares like whabut . Y that whos setting the policy thatay, does care that saying no, no, no, no, no, no, no, renamingrta. Bases is really important because whoever they are, theyre very powerful because it looks like, look, i mean, its its the Progressive Lefts thats pushing this agenda. I thk, frankly, you haveno. A lot of generals in the pentagon right now that areg just shifting with the winds political winds, because at the end of the dayuse at t, we d to be focused on War Fightinggha the fact that the chinese navyos is now larger than ours, ace fo their space force is larger than ours. Rcan theyre modernizing their Nuclear Weapons faster. And we have iran racing towards a nuclear bomb. Hat strikelfmb. Fighter fleet isnt flyable. Its not as though we have mos not as though we have kind of more esoteric, historic issues. Esoteriwe have serious problemu our military today. And then layered on top of crisi that, we have a Recruiting Crisis where we cant even convc convince people to come in. Backt well be right back. H io with more modern warriorrs. S. Welcome to Fox News Live on Lauren Blanchard in washington. Right now, house members from both sides of the aisle are deciding if they will support a bipartisan bill to raise our nations debt limit. The deal struck by President Biden and House Speaker Kevin Mccarthy would cut spending and suspend the debt ceiling through January 1st Of 2020 five. The bill must first pass out of the House Rules Committee today before heading to the full house for a vote. If it passes there, it still has to be approved by the senate and signed into law by june 5th. Or the nation risks defaulting on its debt. And President Biden honoring all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our nation this memorial day. He remembered those brave Men And Women by laying a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. That was part of the One Hundred And Fifty fifth National Memorial day observance at Arlington National cemetery. Im Lauren Blanchard. And now back to modern warriors. Welcome back to modern warriors war on warriors. Were talking about weakness ini the military in our discussion continues. So wek se dont loorik serio. Right now. Wek like don like like you thi a real fighting force. Do you think china is having these conversations . Do you think vladimir putin, hese russias or having these conversations . Absolutely. Absonot. Sayin so theyre looking at us andre theyre saying they over here bickering over lowering standards and changing names on buildings. And were going to be out Here O War Fighting and invading other countries. And by the time they wake upll b is going to be too late. Te. Yeah, were running around preaching Climate Strategy to take our entire military vehicle fleet tanks, armored personnel carriers, humvees, all electric by twenty, thirty five to twenty four. If You Sho W Me An Electric Apache Resource that really right. E ta i want the tanks that are going to kill the most bad guys and be the most lethal, notno the one thats least carbon emitting, but that is a seriousn look it is strategy. You can look it up. T it its on the table righs on thtt so thats the focus of the leadership. They need to do with lethality. No maralago in our electric maralago in our electric vehicles, more lethal than tha n a turbine in the back. Theyre a greater liability thats being driveback of ng dr by politicians. Right. Thats being driven by tha by t is being driven by to an agenda that is coming from the left. Pa because at the end of the day, you have political appointees in charge of the pentagon. Force ane of the pentagon. We need the most lethal fighting force. And its about standards s, not about gender , race, religion. So have you seen that when itn e comes to west point,po more civilian professorsint, whh came out of the Samel Pi Educational Pipeline as other Elite Civilian Universitiese and bring those politics with them . My sister wapothems actually a t Point Professor as i was a Math Instructor as a major one. Strur my brother and i wer whee both cadets and i think even at that time, having some civilian instructors was actually a really good thing. Abou thought, as you were talking about, which is really important, you get differentth perspectives. But at the end oe f the day, wel were all focused on ware fighting and the overwhelming majority of our instructormings were rotc guys, former west point graduates, they camet, t back to teach at west point tea to talk about and teach wachr fighting. You can go anywhere else, but i if you dont want a war, fight rancorously going in school. So we should not be changinge cg the way we teach at the Military Academies to indoctrinate ourselves to the way to the civilian findhe civilian works. Were trying to recruit you and find young people that wannt actually fight wars. We have to cater to them and cate cr to their needs to gt into what they want to do. Teto what they want to do. Letacs teach it. L right. Lets go to that then, because the the centerpiece of thishe a rmarticle, the army times, about the woke military debate, is about the armys inability to meet its recruiting goals. Itng, by som goae estimates,ls. I Twenty Thousand short in recruits as men whove servereca and have and have kids that could would you recommend to your kids to join todays military . Av you know, i goe t i have to say absolutely i would, but thats because i believe absolu believe that the United States is under a level ofs un threat that its never been under before. However, we are seeing about 50 to 60 of recruits come from military families. And were seeing time and time again its a double kill shot. Were seeing that military all of this stuff going on ,is this distraction from war fighting, the localness thats going on and tha thatt is just devastating. You layer on toastatingp that the first africanamerican Secretary Of Defense the saying the military is being overcome with White Supremacy whi and we have to have a Training Stand down threat number one , threaa number one and Training Stand to be okay. To be okay. Bad study was done on thenn a study was done. The hundred Military Members out of two and a half million, f two point zero zero four percent. I know a lot of you dono t doa a lot of math. Tin thats a tiny, tiny fraction. Yes. Ext participate in any extremism yet. That was the Numbere Theumber Om so i thinkun a lot of communitis of color, why would they wantt their kid joining a systemically racist militaryhr . Im not concerned with whereight were at right now because the post 9 11, guys and gals, we are still actually inac charge. Were the colonelstually in. B its going to be generals, Lieutenant Colonels and majors. Right now. They actually fought a rea Ually Fougl War Ught A rea yeah, were good rightwer now because were going to beleader the future leaders. Theyre actually going to be a there for all those people being pushed out. Theyre being pushed out in a ten years from now. We are indoctrinating our future colonels and our future. Lieutenant colonel , you asked a question about my kids. I would obviously be like, yes, if you want to serveod b your country, god bless you. Lessouwe need you. Ou we have to have you. T i have concern aboutnels and their colonels, lieutenantt them colonels, and there are majorsy that might get them killed. Thats my concern. Nk we havei think we had the be. Talent. I thnt. Enlisted, best Young Company grade that we have the best facilities. I mean, countries, otherhere. Countries plus the United States to train here our budget. Seven hundred and fiftbudgety bn dollars a year is larger than some countries. Thme countries. Soat that is a lot of huge asses that our United States military has. The only thing thatous wrong with our military is a leadership. Wow. G ca and so this thing can be fixed d after World War One Guy named marshall, secretary of the army, came iy of then and gd of all those old bureaucratic generals, allowed the ascension the eisenhower, G The Ascension ultimately leading to our success in World War Two. Wo we neerld d anothewar r marshall to come in and clean out that old Leadership Class so that we can have some of that young talent matriculate, move to th. Top. I mean, this is Th Ingreatest is th country in the world. It reall y is. Ll i think there is no placey on earth better than the United States of america, and its worth Fighting Fore be. Its worth defending and ins my opinion, worth dying for. But the issue you have right i now, you have left leaning but radicals who are in Leaninthe Pentagon and in the we house and in the halls of congress who are saying that this country isnt even Worthngw Fighting for to begin with. So how are you going c to incentivize people to come inworth fi and serve . Them to come into the military . Imi youre seeing recruiting numberlitaryyoure ss drop becae youre seeing this approach from the left saying that this this the left saying that this for and youve got a military that is exacerbating the divide by implementing ridiculous policies that divide us among race and gender. Its something to me thaty ex is destructive long term, because if you dont have defense being honestly just brought together by patriots, lw by people who really do believe what this country stands for, thats how thingally do s fall. Its a recipe for destruction. Ai one other point i want to add to my recruitment that isnt talked about in the media a lot. There Mes A New Program Calledd my genesis. I did my research and i talked to a bunch of Recruiters Thatw o i know now when an 18 year old n goes in and says, i wantatever to join whatever service he fills ou fills Outt A Disclosur to release his medical information, the government has centralizeion. Okay, Disqualifying The Disqualify factors from Prescription Drugs. So, i mean, All You Goprt To Det that tmean, All You Goprt To Det the skinny on that. And so theres a lot ofot ofu esissues. Heres a quote from a Lieutenant Colonel in the marine corps, dale papworth. Marincorps. Twenty six years, i dont know, he said with a Wolke Militarylia whose most seniory whor officer concerned about white ragege t to discover and discharge white extremists, blaming it allit on toxic masculinity, discharging real warriors for not being vaccinated, having a two day stand down to discuss white extremism, the promotion loite extremism, the promotion combat, lowering recruiting centers, blaming the military for two hundred and fortdards, c seven years of institutional racism is not the military i was in for twenty six years. Does that resonate with you . E really is veryso welnatel, becae what i love about our camaraderie and just sitting here right now is having conversations. We were literally politically y incoincorrect for my entire tn the military. We would tell off color jokes ih here and there. Weve got to learn about each lv other, fight together, live with each other. And we realize tha other andt wh literally all the same, insult each other on a regular basis by the way. But were offensive. T were offensive. Right. And we thrive on that. Oth we had a great time with it. And so every time i hear that, h i think to myself, like the most fun that ive ever hadf with sitting or sharingny some really funny, maybe off color, totally inappropriatemy jokes with my fellow comrades. Cd and wees laughed about it. T an and then we talked about ite and we joked about it. Its Beeoun Fut Itn together anr got closer because we got closer because of it. Its so funny how we have this bond together based on humanity. Based on our imperfections. We were able to get through because we put our country. First. Werst. Noumbe one. Ects whenbe one. Ects and the training reflects that. I mean, when youre going through hard training, when youre going through hard times, that requires you to lean on each other, firsople and to work with people requires you to communicate. And these are the things thatnde are goinse g to be taken away. E when you start to dividestart to people, you start to have now, standards change because now, look, i dont know ilo if you cn carry me. I dont know if you can. Bit and then there becomes a bitt of a yes, a little bit of a wall built. Ar yes. I find it hard to believe thattt this is bringing units closer together. Its not youre losing that camaraderie that is necessary in war because it is. N you it is. When youre out there and youeb need to know somebody has your back and can do it. Poli back and can do it. The biggest priority is the politics of the day. M bo w fary fromy. Indiana or from Inner Cityit Detroit or wherever, jewish, f christian , muslim, you alltoger forced together. And it really came home to me with a World War Two veteran that i became close to in northe florida, came from the Segregated South and said, you know, he told me i never really had any realip wit relationship with a person oh f color my entire career ingated o the Segregated South. And then he rounds the corner,u his first ship in the navy, and his bunkmate is black. And there are literally sleeping on top of each other bc and they become lifelong friends. Exactly right. And thats why i think we have to get back to national service. Some share s, d sacrifice for a cause bigger. And then the only Colo Wrorried youre worried about is red, white and blue. Ringo right.
