You are looking at 3 and a half hours in the oven. When you pull it out you will wait for about 20, 25 members. Can you even let it rest for half an hour to 45 minutes. They really retain their heat. The Huffington Post said two more women come forward where stories of franken touching their butts without his consent during First Campaign for the senate. One incident took place at photo op. At an event with the minnesota womens political caucus. The second allegedly took place during a democratic fundraiser in minneapolis where the woman claims frankable suggested they visit the bathroom together. Both of the women who spoke to the website are unnamed but their stories are very similar to the experience another woman went public with earlier this he can would. Franken told the Huffington Post he doesnt remember either event and denies he suggested anyone should join him in the bathroom. Franken is not alone though. Last night another woman came forward with accusation against democrat congressman john conyers. Melanie sloan told the Washington Post that conyers harassed and verbally abused her when she worked for him on capitol hill in the 1990s. Even before that came out though, conyers hometown newspaper, along with several fellow democrats, were calling for him to step down. Congressman Kathleen Rice said representative john conyers should resign. I have reviewed the allegations against him. They are as credible as theyre repulsive. As of right now conyers has no plans of stepping down. His Attorney Says he has no plans to resign. He intends to cooperate with the house should they determine further investigation is warranted. I never saw him do Something Like im seeing now with nfl players taking a knee to National Anthem to our starspangled banner and stepping on the fabric of our flag. Now i look at these nfl players and i see them stepping on something and making something political that really shouldnt be political. People are showing up at these stadiums and all sorts of different politics, flight all sorts of ethnicities. They are not bringing politics. Their sports is supposed to be above and beyond. That works on our show does the turkey keep cooking after you take it out of the oven . If so, how to prevent it from drying out. Good question. And we get that question a lot. It does not rise in temperature much. You might get a little bit, but its not like a piece of red, you know, like a nice red steak thats going to raise in temperature. So, no. You really want to cook it to 170 in the breast and 180 in the thigh. The way to prevent it from drying out is by using that meat thermometer. We get a lot of calls thanksgiving day people who dont have meat thermometers and they end up keeping it in the oven like for an extra 15 minutes, 20 minutes, half annual hour, thats when you get dry turkey. Molly nobody wants that i always hear you are not supposed to keep opening the oven. You got to walk away. If you want to baste the turkey and make sure its got just the right flavor, we are talking about marinade downstairs earlier, how often should you baste the turkey . You should never baste the turkey we call that pointless effort. And every time you open up your oven door you are losing about 25 degrees of heat and your oven has to play catch up. All of the butter ball turkeys are selfbasting. Ready to go. Why its such an easy meal to prepare. You will put it in the oven, close the door and walk away. We are busy people. So im going to let you do the math from there. But its four and a half hours is how long its going to take. 170 in the breast. 180 in that thigh. Government has paid out 17 million of your money to settle Sexual Harassment charges against members of congress. But many lawmakers didnt even know such slush fund even existed. I was surprised to hear there was a hush money fund. No. Never heard of that. I never tapped into it. Never used it. I have been in congress 25 years. I have never heard of it and i dont know of anyone else ever discussed it. Griff now one lawmaker is drafting legislation to end the secret taxpayer funded payments. Joining us now is ron desantis. Congressman, first, happy thanksgiving. Happy thanksgiving to you. Griff you are drafting legislation, you are a member of the judiciary committee, the house government oversight. You feel like this is something we have got to do. First of all, why didnt people know about this and secondly, what are you trying to do about it . Well, the first step is that all the payments that had been made, i think taxpayers have a right to know why they were made and whose behalf they were made on. Its just a basic transparency issue. It was not these members money. It was the takes pairs money. We have to have full transparency. Going forward, i dont think you can be using taxpayer dollars to bail out misconduct by either members of congress or members of the congressional staff. Its completely inappropriate use of tax dollars. So we need to turn off that spigot. We need to look at the practice john conyers was alleged to have engaged in where he used his Office Budget which is a separate pot of money to pay harassment settlement to one of his employees. When they did it they basically paid a salary. If a taxpayer was looking at it, you wouldnt know it was for harassment settlement. All those things need to be done. I think the American People are going to demand that we take action. Griff congressman, you brought up john conyers, the longest serving member in the house of representatives. He is, by the way, denying these allegations as more people come forward. But, what is alleged, as you note, a payment of 27,000 to settle a claim, an allegation with a member of his staff clearly whether it is senator al franken or congressman john conyers and now one of your fellow republicans john barton of texas with inappropriate photos, this is a problem in washington. And people want answers and they want this to be dealt with. Will congressman john conyers face some penalty, some consequence . Will senator franken face consequence and possibly congressman barton . Well, i think conyers is going to face an ethics investigation. Youre going to have more people come forward, i think, about some of his incidents. And its a troubling set of allegations. Because it wasnt just that he behaved inappropriately in a moral sense. He was basically leveraging his office in order to pry sexual favors and affection from some of his staff. That is textbook harassment. And so that absolutely needs to be ferreted out. But we also have to ferret out the use of these Office Budgets. If we are able to get the transparency on the hush fund which i think we can and thats important. We also have to look how many claims may have been diverted to where members are using their Office Budget. I think that should already be illegal. If its not, we have to bliss that. When Hurricane Harvey hit on saturday night, sunday morning got really bad. We decided to open both of our big stores the one in north freeway and west houston shelters we did that 300 people two or three nights of a row. It was time of for our employees. Wen able to serve those people. They were great. We opened the door and cheryled the people. The people could not have been more wonderful. Molly here we are so many months later and people are still working and struggling to recover. Many of them still dont have kitchens, really quite frankly. So, why were you inspired to do this big meal . Well, during the when parttimpeople were there at the shelter in the stores, i noticed the best time of the day was when they all had dinner together. And total strangers were forming relationships. So one of the employees that works for me came up to the idea why dont we do this at thanksgiving and bigger and better way and invite the entire community out to Galloway Furniture and see if we can get 15 to 20,000 people to eat thanksgiving today. It comes to fruition today. Beautiful day, we have people inside the stores on the dining room tables eating thanksgiving dinner. 2,000 seats outside in the wonderful 70 tree weather today in houston. It should be a great day. We are looking for a sense of unity and community. Griff jim, i want to ask you quickly clearly the devastating floods, i had the fortune to cover for fox news. But as you are having this huge feast today, tell us though as millions of americans are giving thanks for what they have around the country, some in houston have still not recovered. Some of these flood plane areas have not come back yet. How are the people . People of houston are resilient Getting Better there are still entire communities still in the rebuilding process. Its been very tough. A lot of people lived in a house for 20, 30, 40, 50 years never had an inch of water and had 6 feet of water with no flood insurance. Just devastating. There is lots of recovery still going on. Lot of help and prayers. We think by having this thanksgiving feast today we can bring more joy to people in the houston.
