Whenever you see a new virus always looking at the at this point of the iceberg. The worse cases are the ones that come to medical attention. Still not testing everyone. We need the testing to be available widespread across the country so we can pick out these mild days. It will help reassure people. A contact, yeah, you were in contact with it but you never got sick. I want to see all those cases so i can further reassure people that its milder than theyre hearing right now. His real objection is with the legislature and the governor of the state of louisiana which enacted, in my view a perfectly rational piece of legislation that says anybody that performs an abortion has to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital to preserve the life of the mother and should the baby survive the abortion the life of the baby. Judge judge in his opinion as in the opinion of a lot of democrats there should be no restrictions on abortion. I think he made those statements in order to gin up ainsley what if a woman had an abortion and her life were at risk he doesnt care if she goes to the hospital. Judge you probably have to ask him. He is of the view that abortion should be so available and plentiful that the states should not put any restrictions upon those who perform it. Excuse me, at least six republican members of congress are now under selfquarantine after potentially being exposed to the virus from someone at cpac who has since tested positive. Those members include the president s incoming chief of staff mark meadows and matt gaetz who flew with President Trump on Board Air Force 1 just yesterday. But the white house says that President Trump has not been tested for the coronavirus because he has not shown any symptoms. And he was not in prolonged close contact with anybody who has since tested positive for the virus. But, guys, just think about how many hands President Trump shakes in any given day or any politician for that matter. This is the biggest prize of the six states that are voting today. 125 delegates up for grabs and also this is the first day that democratic voters in this primary will have a choice effectively between just two main candidates. Obviously we know its been a crowded field. For Bernie Sanders for the senator, it is well, he is the underdog here. And after losing 10 out of 14 states on super tuesday, there is a real sense of urgency for his campaign in michigan. He has held at least five events in the wolverine state in recent days. And for joe biden, the Vice President has campaigned in michigan with former president ial candidate senators Kamala Harris and core booker who joined four other president ial hopefuls now endorsing biden. We have the potential to have a joe biden who is truly the states person in our party who is truly the one calling to us stand together, not to fall apart. Our campaign is the campaign that in the general election can bring millions of young people to the polls. [cheers and applause] sanders is hoping to replicate his 2016 surprise michigan win over Hillary Clinton when he won over White Working Class voters. But the problem this year is those same voters are bidens bread and butter. I think the thing tha that ig against sanders more than anything else is that he is not up against a candidate that is as deeply unpopular with the White Working Class noncollege educated voters. Hillary clinton was toxic with those voters. And those voters are very on brand for the former Vice President. His entire political career he has been running to represent voters just like that. He keeps saying they need that young vote. They have not showed up in the way that he wants in any of the states previously before today. We will see if today is any different. All of that, guys, the reason theyre talking about this being such a big day and especially here in michigan for sanders is that a loss here would not only biden the delegate count lead for biden, but it could have a trickle effect into next tuesday for the two other western states voting. You have illinois and ohio. We all know that things are not looking good for sanders in florida. So, if a big loss here in michigan happens, it could have a really big effect next week. And thats why there is so much pressure on sanders here in michigan. Brian aoc got a big crowd yesterday and got a big response with her introduction. All right, brian, thank you so much. Ainsley not surprising not doing well in florida considering what he said about castro. The weather is going to be good in michigan. If you live there go to the polls and not worry about rain. Steve sure, bernie ultimately is hoping things play his way the way they did four years ago. The problem four years ago is apparent live in the cross tabs because the people who do the polling under estimated the number of young people that would show up. They thought one in ten would show up. Turned out to be two in ten and i think bernie got 80 of them. This time around we are not going to specifically talk about the polls but for the most part he is under performing as tom bevan from real clear politics told us an hour ago. Is there some magic left in michigan for bernie . Can he do it again . It feels different. Hes behind by 96 delegates right now. He doesnt even if he wins michigan by squeak out a victory by half a point, give him a moral boost for his campaign but its not going to give him a boost in the delegate race because hes going to lose in missouri probably. Going to lose in mississippi. He really needs a change in the dynamic of this race to be able to recoup those delegates that he is trailing biden by. We dont see that happening now. Brian they did say yesterday that he still could pick up more delegates from california up to 100 which would be huge. If you look at what is at stake here, idaho, michigan, missouri, mississippi and missouri, he is going to lose big. North dakota nobody knows. Washington has 89 delegates. That will be significant a dead heat right now according to the last poll and michigan 125. I think more michigan just means so much more for the general election as well and for bernie to go back and to lose this after propelled him and kept him alive years ago. Ainsley you think Washington State is neck in neck there because bernie won california in the oregon area. He wins that side of the country usually. Thats surprising. Steve meanwhile, at the same time, you have got joe biden who confidantes are saying circulating essentially a list of people he would like to see in his cabinet like conquery doing something with Climate Change. Why are they floating this list right now . First of all, you have to remember what joe bidens strategy is for running this time around. Its not as the most exciting candidate. Its not the most gaffefree candidate. He is running as the safe alternative. He is the nonBernie Sanders. Nonsocialist democrat safe alternative. And what this is and basically anybody who follows politics could close their eyes and come up with this entire list out of thin air. This is designed to go back to the swamp, back to washington and send a signal to everybody i really am that safe person i really am going to do what it is that the democratic establishment wants me to do, which is if i win back the white house, im going to repopulate it. Im going to get the old band back together with all of the old obama people and they are all going to be doing the same things. One of the things that donald trump, President Trump talks about is how his mere existence as president in washington has exposed so many of the things that i think would have gone completely unexposed about problems inside of doj, the media bias, all of these things. And none of that would have been exposed if Hillary Clinton had won. Steve sure. What joe biden has said, we are going to put the monster back together and nobody is going to get in trouble and its going to be were going to relive our old glory days. If you just work hard enough to get me elected president. Steve charlie, you know, the two things that joe biden has got going for him, you know, once they take back the house, according to what he said yesterday. Is he has got the fact that he was Vice President to a very Popular American president and also, the number one metric seems to be who can beat donald trump. And if you really hate donald trump, you think im going to put all my eggs in the biden basket. Yeah. And, you know, that second one is still untested because we havent been, you know, we havent seen that headtohead matchup. Headtohead matchups are in reality are usually quite different from what polling suggests. Steve sure. Six or eight months out. And i would argue that the number of stupid things that biden says, the weird things that he says, all of that stuff is going to sort of pile up. And erode his abilities there. But one thing, without a doubt, that joe biden, a strength is that joe biden has that Hillary Clinton didnt have is that Hillary Clinton was deeply loathed. She was very well known and deeply loathed even among many democrats. Joe biden doesnt have that problem. The problem he has is, yet again, like Hillary Clinton, he is running against a guy like Bernie Sanders and nibble who watched that town hall last night, Bernie Sanders, i dont agree with anything the guy says, but he is a very shrewd messenger. Thats why you often hear President Trump say honestly he would be more worried about running against a guy like bernie because of that genuine natural, you know, enthusiasm out there for him. I voted for Bernie Sanders because i like the message he conveys to people and he seems to want an equal america for everybody and thats what im about. Sanders is banking heavily on young voters to show up in record numbers, something they have not done yet in this election. I didnt know what to expect going into every single interview because you never know what to expect, but i was very, very thrilled with the way the book turned out and also the inspiration that will hopefully be passed onto others. I have a good collection of people who have practiced forgiveness and struggled to forgiveness in different ways, that was important to me because forgiveness is a unique topic. And so it was important to have good variety of different experiences and struggles with forgiveness. Steve speaking of passage with tonya brown, tonya could not begin her journey until acceptance until she uncovered the truth about her sisters death, vital step and struggle to accept and move on but the struggle would take over a decade and required extraordinary faith. A lot of faith in your book. Yeah, but it was important for me to have a good collection of people who had faith going into their forgiveness journey. Some who found faith and some who still dont necessarily have a faith because when i was researching forgiveness in my own struggle a lot of faithbased books which are amazing but important to have a good collection. Ainsley how has your faith grown . I know that you have married chris pratt and faith is such a center part of your relationship . No, it is a huge part of our relationship and lives and upbringing, i grew up with faith being a huge part of my familys part as well. Its huge part of healing process. If youre able to have that to rely on is a great gift. Steve you tell Great Stories about forgiveness and in the end you summarize and you leave a little blank space at the end where people can do what . Well, people can actually write down their forgiveness thoughts. What i down and what i found is that when you bring up a subject of forgiveness which is not often talked about that people go to a specific incident in their minds or person that may have hurt them or that they need to go back and actually practice forgiveness with and so my sister kristina actually gave me great suggestion to have great work book in the back, write someone a letter, write down a list of names that maybe you want to go back and and reevaluate your forgiveness journey on and so its a great part at the end of the book. Ainsley i know in my life that i have had to forgive, it helps me too and closer to christ. Whats a common denominator, not everyone is a christian in this book. You we wanted to highlight different religious. Is there a common denominator that you have to forgive . The biggest common denominator that forgiveness is a gift that you give yourself and something that we grow up thinking, you to wait for someone to ask for forgiveness. Its about you taking the power back and you want to go decide you may have experienced hurt and pain or trauma in your life you dont want that to be part moving forward. Its a gift that you give yourself. Steve so many families that are fractured because something happened once upon a time and Somebody Just cant get over it because they i cant believe they did that and years and decades go by, wait, we have been at loggerheads for so long because of something kind of stupid. Welshing something that actually interesting came up a lot and we have a Facebook Group and big topic of conversation as family breakups and dynamics that are requiring forgiveness but complicated and time a lot of time. Theres no time limit on forgiveness. No right or wrong way to forgive. Theres only your way. I think thats an encouraging part of forgiveness. Some people in this book have taken 30 years to practice forgiveness. Others continue to struggle with it and some practice in a moment and so i think people will be able to relate to different versions of forgiveness. Ainsley such a powerful book.
