This is something that has caused a lot of pressure, i would imagine on Bobbi Kristina brown making it very difficult for her to mourn and to go through some of the stages of grief because people have different opinions about the death of whitney houston. Some people are going to say to Bobbi Kristina brown maybe she should move on because it was three years ago. Mourning is something that is very private but when youre public it is hard to go through that private process which further complicates issues and it could have led her to act out including using and abusing substances. Just last week one of the cable channels was running a marathon on movies about bobbis life and whitneys life. Her daughter had a realty show right after her mom die. That went to my mind when i heard the news and my heart sank like every americans heart sank because we do feel sorry for the child. Her dad, bobby is, quote, inconsolable. Losing his former wife, possibly his daughter. Doctors are saying it is going to take a miracle for her to possibly survive. How does a family get through . I cant imagine what bobby brown is feeling. He lost his wife, exwife, in a tragic and unfortunate waip under the same circumstances. Now you have his daughter recently turned 21, trying to find her own way in life and now hes hit with a double tragedy a few years after his former wife passed away, it looks like his daughter may be facing something similar. He must be unconsolable to have to deal with this grief again soon after his former wife, whitney houston, passed away under similar circumstances. Where those heavier snow bands set up across parts of southeastern new england is where were looking at the brunt of the storm system. Theres a look at snowfall forecasts for the region. Generally 6 to 12 inches of snow possible in addition to what they have already seen across the northeast. Otherwise behind the storm, get ready for very cold air to move in. Some areas could be looking at recordlow temperatures. So i think a different kind of strategy in terms of how do we first of all how do we contain them . Then how do we limit their ability to carry out these attacks, these atrocities and to occupy territory . It seems to me particularly with respect to isis our objective should be to deny them the ability to hang on to territory because that gives them a base from which potentially to plot against us and against western europe. Of course isis keeps going across the border with syria. We dont want to go into syria and destroy isis because that helps the bad guy who runs syria. How are these goals achieved . Lindsey graham laid it out pretty starkly and pretty brutally. He says we need ten thousand troops on the ground to stop isis. Watch what he had to say. It hasnt passed before because it hasnt been in this form rum. We hasnt had legalized marijuana in colorado. This is the first time this bill is being introduced since legalization. I hear some who are real proponents of marijuana say, dan, its legal. There is no problem with it. Why cant folks who are on welfare go get Legal Marijuana with legal money . Is there something criminal about that . Well, i think the issue is Welfare Benefits are generally for items like food groceries for the welfare beneficiarys kids. To turn around and use that money in a marijuana dispensery just sort of defies logic with respect to what the purpose of the program is. So the question becomes what does it look like now . Does it look like this bill will pass in colorado or are the marijuana advocates saying hands off. We should have the right to have dispenseeries providing that kind of service to people on welfare and that if they want to use their ebt cards at the pot dispensery, they should. Is there a strong lobby against it . There is not a lobby against it. And i think there is broad bipartisan support for this common sense measure. The national was willing to continue talking even beyond the midnight deadline and the industry walked away and unwilling and basically left no option. If something doesnt break free, it will spread. So here is the deal the united steelworkers union, specifically the oil workers in the houston area, want a 100 increase in their pay increase. In other words, over the last three years their contract allowed for a pay increase. Theyre up for renewal. Theyve been working at this for the last couple weeks and want another 100 increase upon the other increase. So theyre look for more money from the Oil Companies. But its coming at a really bad time. Especially with the Oil Companies now oil prices have gone from 110 a birl to a low of 43 go ahead, steve. I was going to say they should have done this last year when everybody was rich. But right now the bottom has fallen out of it and they got in leverage. Here is the way this whole thing plays out. The free market had the oil prices at 110 a barrel. Clearly that was too high. The free market brought oil prices down to where it should be. Down to 45, 50 a barrel. The unions say i dont care about the free market. We want to protect ours. We want more of ours no matter what the price is and they dont really care what the Oil Companies have or make. They dont make all that much money on a gallon of gasoline or a barrel of oil. They make about 25 cents a gallon on a gallon of gasoline. Meanwhile, they have all these expenses. They pay a ton of tax. The unions again with their hands out. Just like the politicians. How many times have you heard politicians say now that gas is 2 a gallon, its time to up the gasoline tax. Thats ridiculous. They say there are safety issues. What are they talk being . We read all the time about people dying on these rig as soon as how much of the industry do they represent . I cant give you an exact number of how many they represent. But theyre refiners, drillers, transporters, all in united steelworkers. They are dangerous absolutely. But theyre no more dangerous now than they were three years ago or 15 years ago. Theyre probably a lot safer now with all the safety precautions that things like bp spill made them put into place fort offshore oil pregnants. Prices are down. Thats the situation right now. But going forward, how is that going to impact the people watching right now who are pumping the gas and they think, this is good for me right now. So there was rumors of this happening late friday afternoon, this past friday. Guess what happened friday in the oil market . After this big massive move down in oil prices were good which by the way is fantastic for everyone watching. Absolutely. Almost a three quarters of a trillion dollars stimulus package if gasoline price goes from 4 a gallon down to gallon. We use about 386 billion gallons a year, double that. Thats almost 750 billion in consumers pockets. So what happens when there is rumors the oil workers may strike . Oil is up 4 a barrel on friday. Up 4 a barrel on the rumor of a strike. So look, is it good that oil price are down . Absolutely. A lot of people say, wait a minute. Oil prices down, that means fewer people will work. True. But the industry will get thinner and if they go on strike, what happens . Who performs that work . Well, theyll have to pull a lot of people out, the people who are on strike will have to replace with workers who may not be part of the united steelworkers union. Bottom line price also go back up.
