New york city is obviously a very crowded place so officials were very quick to reassure the public that they dont think anyone else is at risk even though this doctor rode two subway trains and went bowling in brooklyn roughly four hours before he was admitted to the hospital with a 103 fever and ebola. Since he got here medical officials have been retracing his steps. He is a volunteer with Doctors Without Borders working with patients in guinea and west africa until october 12. He returned to new york city on friday the 17th, went to his harlem apartment. Were told by tuesday he was feeling tired and fatigued but apparently didnt yet have a fever. He was taking his temperature twice a day. Wednesday he took the trains to a Brooklyn Bowling alley called the gutter which was shut down yesterday. And yesterday morning, october 23, he called staff
members with Doctors Without Borders to report he had ebola symptoms. That is when the nypd sent a hazmat team to the doctors apartment and he is in isolation in bellevue. There is no reason for new yorkers to be alarmed. Ebola is an extremely hard disease to contract. New yorkers who have not been exposed to an infected persons bodily fluids are not at all at risk. The doctor lived with his fiancee. She has now been quarantined. Two of his friends he spent time with this week have been isolated and were told the uber driver who picked him up and drove him home wednesday night has been told hell be okay. A team from the c. D. When he did that, they picked me to sing the National Anthem that night at the game. And i have been singing ever since. Since then i have done the 49er games. I have done some stanford games and its been a great ride, you know . It is. Obviously, good pun there with as a bus driver. Heres the thing though. Why do they have a standard in place for the doctors who were treating Infectious Disease patients for those with ebola, why werent they treated like everybody else, lets take your temperature, youre fine. It should have been in place, it should be in place now. I think it should be mandatory. Ive said before, in the plague, pack in the 14th century, they took people that were exposed to plague victims and they separated them for 14 days. Why cant we do that now, 700 years later . He finished up as we see the time line tick away. You were doing this last night. He finished up his work in guinea in october 12th. So he comes back here. Now, if i tremendous for him to do that hes probably saved countless lives. But just to be sure, he knows the danger of this disease. I know he doesnt have a fever or symptoms yet. Why would you take the risk with the people you love and the
people you dont know yet by going bowling . He actually had a fever and went out. He was fatigued and still went out for a day and exposed people on the subway. The chances of getting it that way, extremely low because you have to have a lot of symptoms how about the fact he went jogging and sweating and we hear about fluids. If i brush against him and hes sweaty, am i trouble . Youre not in trouble. It could be theoretically transmitted that way, but highly unlikely. I dont think he should have done that. I hope any physician returning from west africa right now will put themselves in quarantine. Guide lines or no guide lines. When he came through Jfk International airport, this is one of the airports with the so called thermal screening thats supposed to stop ebola from coming on our to our shores. When Thomas Duncan came over that was not in place. Now it is. He made it through because he wasnt exhibiting symptoms. How effective are these . Thermal screening is not

Its my understanding theyre halfway through 10,000 potential noncitizens on the rolls and they have already identified between 400 and 500 noncitizens that are currently registered to vote in our state. Well, there are hundreds of thousands of people who have benefited from this program and some of them have been paid for
by mexico to get the registration fee. Youre entitled to the drivers license and even work papers. But does that mean you can vote in North Carolina . You have to be a citizen, dont you . Theres the very first thats the very first requirement to be the citizen of our nation and the state of North Carolina. So its actually a travesty. It is amazing that the current federal administration took the action of inaction to defer the upholding of the law for undocumented Illegal Immigrants and this has caused a major issue. Even we are seeing some of fruits of this lawlessness by way of these individuals being registered to vote in our state. Am i right in understanding representative that North Carolina and Election Officials went to the department of Homeland Services and they said, well, you know, this these folks dont appear to be citizens but then the department of Homeland Security, says, oh, yeah we think they are citizens. So now its a fight between North Carolina and the federal government. Theyre saying the folks are
citizens. But you say we have no evidence of it. Well, potentially, that may be occurring. Like i said of the 10,000 individuals that are at the division of Motor Vehicles and this state has recognized that could be potential noncitizens, theyre actually going through and doing a cross check with the department of home land security. So you are correct that currently the people in North Carolina are putting the faith in the Actual Department of Homeland Security to verify citizenship. I have to be honest, im highly skeptical of this administration and whether these individuals are truly citizens of our state and the nation. So representative, youre on this case, so you have written and youre following up on this to make sure that the people who are not american citizens cannot vote Going Forward in North Carolina, right . New york city officials have been quick to reassure the public they dont think anyone else is at risk, even though he went bowling and road subways, roughly 24 hours before he reported symptoms of ebola. Dr. Craig spencer, 33, is a volunteer with Doctors Without Borders. He spent a month working with
ebola patients in guinea and west africa. Through october 12th. He returned to his harlem apartment in new york city last friday. The 17th. By tuesday, were told he was feeling tired and fatigued but apparently didnt yet have a fever. Wednesday he took a threemile run and later rode the subway trains to the gutter, which was shut down last night. He called the Staff Members to report his ebola symptoms. Thats when the fdny sent a hazmat team to his apartment and some critics think some procedures now need to change. It was clearly he was clearly in contact with ebola. Came down with the virus and he was allowed to move freely within new york city for a period that wasnt within the constrained period we know that the workers are coming in contact. freely when they return back to the United States . Thats a serious question. Well, the doctor lived with his fiancee. She has now been quarantined and two of his friends have been isolated. He took an uber taxi back to his home and that driver was located and was told he didnt have to worry. discipline and a rigid protocol that says for example if you are retaining returning aid worker, then you must it is mandatory that you 21 days. There were people coming out of the stands, there were coaches jumping over the fence from the side attacking me. Wow. Im defending myself. Yeah, Michael Keaton hasnt had a great role in a long time and this is the best performance of his career. I dont say that lightly, i grew up on batman. Im a huge fan of his work. This deals with a washed up actor trying to reclaim his stardom. Hes lost that idea of being a relevance, so he opens a play on broadway. And it is a movie that really kind of has this great idea about relevance in hollywood and how the difference between actors and celebrities and how people measure themselves by box office numbers. It has a lot to say. But its also a well written dark comedy. The cool thing about the movie its shot and directed and edited to look like a continuous shot for two hours. Now, theres clearly edits in the movie but it looks like one continuous shot. Like what hitchcock did with the movie rope in the 60s. Its well written and well directed and keaton will be nominated for an academy award. Its a phenomenal film. I gave it a 5 out of 5. So i definitely recommend it. I was geeking out beyond belief. Some of the extras didnt show or something and we had to move i cant remember i think we had to move some people around. But you couldnt control the other people who are there. Theyre there, yeah. Thursday night for the First Time Since 2004, the republicans took the lead in early voting in iowa which is a huge deal. There will be over a million votes cast in the senate race, 400,000 plus, maybe close to 500,000 will be cast early. Traditionally, democrats run up a big lead in this at this point
four years ago they had a lead of almost 20,000 votes. Last thursday night, the republicans took the lead by 300 nearly 400 votes. What why that matters is because four years ago when the democrats had a much a lead, and a large lead, they still lost the governors race, 5343. And the senate race 6333. So this is a good indication of the strength of the republican ground game. As usual you brought along your white board so you can school us a little bit. Where do the rest of the elections stand right now . Look, it will be very close. The republicans lead today in eight states. Three of them by double digits. Five of them outside the margin of error and one inside the margin of error and they trail in two races by inside the margin of error, 1. 6 points in New Hampshire and North Carolina. So we have ten Senate Contests on the democratic side that are in play. On the republican side, there are two republicans who are two republican held seats today,
0. 4 behind and 0. 8 kansas and georgia. And georgia is likely to go into the january runoff. Because you need 50 . You need 50 . It doesnt look like either one can get 50 . The democrat or the republican and theres a libertarian in the race as well. Whats the critical issue . Whats the common issue in all of the races . Have the key issue is obama and for the republicans it is can you tie your democrat to obama in a concrete, specific way by their votes, actions and their words and for the democrats it is how can they artfully distance themselves from obama . Can the democrats make them unattractive as an alternative. Reagan had it, eisenhower dealt with it. Year six its trouble for a sitting president. How do you feel about the democrats distancing themselves by not acknowledging him, not acknowledging who they voted for . Not acknowledging what issues they voted with him on . They lost the house when they lost 14 seats. There were several by 2702 votes. So this election could be just less than a hair. So the turnout really matters in these elections. major issue and isis and now the terror attacks here in canada and at home. Its swamping this story. What does that do to the election . Well, actually it had an impact because my sense is if you look at the polls over the course of the year, the economy has always been the number one issue. The number two issue tended to be the health care, jobs, or the debt. But starting in the spring, up came security when isis began to burst in may and june through iraq, security became an issue. Ebola has been conflated with security and as a result in most polls now, the National Security or concerns about terrorism are number two or three.
