yes, the president and i have real differences but i respect the american president. i'm willing to work with the american president. the response from the congress is respectful and generous to the prime minister. >> pleased with the prime minister and did not demand they go back to the 1845 quarters and swap of exwall land with mexico. whatever would have been the equivalent of president obama from afor a to decide the armistice borders that led to four wars in 20 years insecure, not recognized. there was no palestinian state. in 1948 and 1967. that the borders have to be the basis of all association. prime minister netanyahu rejected that firmly. he reached out in other respects and say i want -- how did he put it? i want there to be, i accept i'm willing to have palestinian state. but i want palestinian leaders saying they're willing for a jewish state. they won't say it. that is the core of it. netanyahu emphasized it. that is the core of it. if they accept a jewish state of israel, they can negotiate the border. the problem is the palestinians, especially hamas now in a unity government over the palestinian authority is they do not accept the existence of a jewish state in the middle east. >> let's talk about the other developments, iaea. report about the expansion of iran nuclear efforts. confirmation that they believed syria was moving forward with nuclear reactor before they took it out. with support of building that with the north koreans. >> that is huge immaterial makes our reticence hoping the brave alteration in syria. this is a regime that is not just brutal and authoritarian. they were trying to build nuclear weapons. until israelis took them out they were moving ahead in conjunction with north korea and backing of iran. it makes president obama's quietness, quiet is a-known about iran. isn't that overwhelming threat for peace. doesn't it generate nuclear proliferation of the worst kind? >> i don't know how to quantify it but he is right if he says there is a lack of intention from the president in terms of the public statement. not a lack of attention in the policy. but where the president emphasis has been with the public statement has been of course about what has happened with syria, the kind of spring awakening. now in the recent days in terms of what is going on between the palestinians and israelis trying to reignite talks. again we come back to the idea that thee united states has been per analysis tent in saying to iran you cannot have nuclear weapons. we want to stop that and pre-empt that israel would go in and attack the urrainions -- iranians. has the president been strong? he talks about sanction and the like is the u.s. willing to take further action? that means military action. >> last word. >> the president statement on iran and on syria, where in each state there was the chance of a revolution. iran in 2009 and syria now have been remarkably astonishing, shockingly weak. especially 2009 in iran. our only hope of stopping iran from becoming nuclear enemy would have been revolution in iran. the president had no intest in that in 2009. today he shows no interest at all in syria. grudgingly saying a word or two. still saying last week that president assad has chance to lead transition in syria. he must be living on the moon if you imagine that is possible. >> bret: up next, special election in upstate new york.
