>> if you watched the grammys last night you know it was a soulful tribute to whitney houston. one performer there still too shaken up to sing and we'll talk about all the winners from last night. a massive budget battle. an election preview. it seems to be. the president is unveiling his final spending plan before the 2012 election today. and you know what, it's mot even delivered to capitol hill and the gop is already on it. what are they going to say about it and how do we know this will be the preview of the general election campaign? and lin han sanity. look at this guy. knicks new sensation, jeremy lin, making headlines on the other side of the globe as well. >> keep your eyes on that one. this is one of those sensations that just sort of came out of know where. >> did you know about him before they wrote about him this weekend. >> never heard a thing about him. >> i don't know a lot about basketball. >> i do. i couldn't believe i didn't know this guy. wait until you hear the details. >> a fun story even if you're not a basketball fan. to one of the top stories, the death of music legend. you can't not know about whitney houston music lover or not, but the story becomes a mystery, how did she die? the autopsy now complete as we said. but just exactly what might have killed her could take weeks to find out. that's the status of the toxicology results, they take time. this report could take up to eight weeks for us to find out. sources it tell "the los angeles times" that detectives are looking into whether or not she drowned. she was found in a bathtub at the beverly hills hilton and tmz is reporting medical officials found water in her lungs, but the coroner would not comment on that. radar on-line says police found prescription drugs, valium and a sleeping medication in her hotel room as well. david mattingly has the latest from los angeles from us. if we talk about the toxicology reports, i know in michael jackson's case, which was, you know, the last big icon to die, those toxicology reports took three months for us to actually get the results. >> that's right. we're looking for at least a month. we're talking six to eight weeks before the toxicology reports come back in this case. there were so many reporters gathered here yesterday when the coroner came out to make a statement, so many questions about what kind of drugs were found at the scene, what kind of drugs might have been involved in this case and everyone walking away with very few answers at all. listen now to what the coroner had to say. >> i know there's reports that she maybe was drowned or did she overdose, but no, we won't make a final determination until all the tests are in. there was no visible signs of trauma and foul play is not suspected at this time. >> reporter: now you heard what the coroner there was able to confirm, that there were no visible signs of trauma, no foul play is suspected, and earlier the coroner did also confirm that whitney houston was found in her bathtub in her hotel room. that was reported earlier by police. paramedics did attempt to perform cpr when they arrived. they were unable to revive her there at the scene. again, all these reports about prescription drugs being found at the scene, none of that absolutely none of that confirmed yesterday. >> david, there were reports that her daughter, bobbi kristina, was taken to the hospital. do you know anything about that? >> reporter: a family member has confirmed to us she was taken to the hospital and released. wasn't serious. she was described as being overwhelmed. that was very understandable considering the circumstances. but no details really about inside houston's family. we know her former husband, bobby brown, did have to leave the stage during a performance. he got very emotional during a performance on saturday night and then he had to cancel a performance on sunday. everyone here absolutely reeling by this sudden news. >> we understand he has arrived in los angeles. i'm sure we're going to hear much more from you. david mattingly, live from l.a., thank you for that report. for anybody who is watching the grammys they certainly put together quite a tribute and it was really last minute too. one of the more memorable moments coming from jennifer hudson when she sang whitney's biggest hit. take a listen. ♪ and i will always love you ♪ i >> listen to that song forever, right? >> unbelievable. >> hudson singing "i will always love you." the host of the show, l.l. cool jay started the ceremony with a prayer for whitney. >> heavenly father, we thank you for sharing our sister whitney with us. today our thoughts are with her mother, her daughter, and all of her loved ones and although she is gone too soon, we remain truly blessed to have been touched by her beautiful spirit and to have her lasting legacy of music to cherish and share forever. amen. >> it's interesting to see the audience reacting like that. another huge music legend chaka khan backed out of the planned performance last night. just saying it was too soon for her to do that. this is what she tweeted. as i grieve the loss of my friend and, quote, little sister, i don't feel it appropriate to perform at this time. continue to pray for the family. you probably will be wondering what was going on with whitney's ex-husband bobby brown, he was performing and sobbing on a stage, he went ahead with a planned concert with new edition, his old group, in mississippi, this video take on the night of her death. he reportedly broke down before this show. he wasn't even on for the opening song, but he came out later, apparently quite emotional, crying several times on stage and then shouted out to the crowd, i love you whitney, and asked for prayers for his family. >> you want to honor your commitments, right, as an artist, but that's got to be a very, very dif cut moment. he skipped last night's concert in nashville and flew to los angeles to comfort his only child bobbi kristina. whitney houston never forget her new jersey roots and they won't forget her. every seat filled inside newark's new hope baptist church where she sang as a child along with her mother cissy houston and dionne warwick. >> flags flew at half staff at the school named after whitney houston, in east orange, new jersey, where she went to school. where she was born, the mayor, cory booker, said, quote, a legend and great american artist and always one of newark's and new jersey's treasured daughters. and the governor of new jersey also weighing in, chris christie, saying whitney houston was a true new jersey treasure. her terribly premature death is an awful loss. >> when i came in this morning somebody asked me what is the first whitney houston song you played right after. i said i didn't have to. because they were playing all over the place. reliving one of whitney houston's finest moments, this was the first one i heard, the stunning rendition of the st"th star-spangled banner" of the super bowl in 1991. ♪ and the rockets red glare the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there ♪ ♪ o say does that star spangled banner yet wave ♪ ♪ o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave ♪ >> everybody was talking about, that nobody ever sang it like that. it was the performance that moved a nation. fighting the persian gulf war. houston had planned a different arrangement with jazz chords and gospel rhythms but the nfl asked her to strip it down and she did. it shot to number one on the billboard charts. the detroit pistons played it on the jumbo tron before their basketball game on sunday as well. >> look at ha. i was just listening to that. probably heard it a couple dozen times. each time goose bumps. just such -- you said no one had ever sung it like that and i don't think anyone ever will. >> i wonder if they didn't have anybody there live singing that and that was part of the tribute, that she would do that. incredible moment. ten minutes past the hour here. 6:30 this morning, we're talking to "rolling stone" magazine editor joe levy, he has the details on the death investigation, her final performance, and, of course, her lasting legacy. >> that legacy is what is so critical in this story. switching gears, another big day in politics. in a few hours the white house will release president obama's budget for the next fiscal year. expected to ignite a brand new war in washington over some old issues that just won't seem to go away like tax hikes for the wealthy and payroll tax holiday for millions of working families out there. . >> christine romans is in atlanta at the cnn center. what else is in his plan? good morning to you. >> good morning, ladies. you know they say a president's budget is sort of his blueprint or his, you know, wish list for how he'd like it to be, but don't forget that congress has to pass these things. we know how his are going right now between the president and this congress. what has the president laid out there in an election year for what he wants? he wants spending cuts and in the end, by 2013, he says he would have the budget deficit below 3% of gdp, that's good, $4 trillion in cuts overall, but targeted spending increases in infrastructure and education spending. he's really making what he looks like -- what looks like a play to the middle class, starting jobs on roads, extending, you know, airport projects, really trying to get some money out there in the economy. also, the buffet rule. how do you pay for this? raise taxes on the wealthy. one thing the bush tax cuts would be allowed to expire for the wealthiest earners and something called the buffet tax. you've heard of this. the buffet rule. for everyone that has $1 million or more, has to pay a 30% tax rate. you would have this targeted spending on the middle class, but be paid for by taxing the rich, something the republicans says is a nonstarter. >> christine, it bears repeating because the payroll tax cut for those who it would apply to, not the wealthiest, what does it mean in real numbers for folks on their paychecks? >> it's interesting. you're getting that right now and you had it last year. it's a few dollars, up to $40 a week in your paycheck. the president is also pushing out like trying to tell everyone that this is real money for you, if the payroll tax cut becomes permanent, something this budget is set to contain. listen to what president said in his weekly radio address. >> this tax cut is common sense. if you're a family making about $50,000 a year, this tax cut amounts to about $1,000 a year. that's about $40 in every paycheck. >> the interesting thing about that payroll tax holiday is a lot of people the studies show people say they haven't noticed the extra money in their paycheck but they would notice in this kind of economy if that moneye money isn't in their paycheck. making that to try to say let's make this permanent. >> it was exciting to see the boost in education spending. if it materializes. >> yeah. you know, the thing is, that this is a country that we have to have long-term deficit reduction at the same time needing to make improvements in the american economy. how you do that is a huge ideological fight between republicans and democrats in an election year no less. we'll hear more about the president and his budget. >> everyone has their pet -- we've got news breaking about the space program and the cuts there too. everybody has their pet projects that they think are the most important. thanks. >> we miss you over here. >> i'll see you in a few minutes. >> yeah. >> all right. it's chaos on the streets of athens as greek lawmakers approve another round of austerity measures. this was the scene outside the greek parliament. police are using tear gas and stun grenades to try to break up all of the protests. dozens of people have been arrested. lawmakers in greece have approved some really deep budget cuts and while that might sound great, not so much on the street. it was really necessary according to many for the eurozone leaders to sign off on the $172 billion bailout that they want to hand over to that itty bit itty country. like i said, it may not be resonating on the streets where matthew chance is live, he's in athens for us. it looks quiet behind you, but it has been a mess there all weekend. >> it has. it's been utter chaos here on the streets of athens. this is the main square outside the parliament building right behind me. tens of thousands of people last night on the streets, protesting against these austerity measures which are deeply unpopular. thousands clashed with the riot police, buildings set ablaze, there were stun grenades fired, tear gas, the air was like full of this really choking gas, very difficult to breathe at many points throughout the evening. so unpopular and anger against the austerity measures. you mentioned it may sound like a good thing. from the point of view from the euro perhaps or the banks in europe, it certainly is. there's been a positive reaction to it. balance that with the fact that ordinary greeks have seen their country sink in terms of their living standards over the course of the past several years. unemployment among 16 to 24-year-olds, get this, 48%. now that's something that is truly, truly painful and the last thing they want to hear is there are going to be more austerity cuts, more job losses, more wage cuts in the years ahead. that's why there was such anger tonight. >> did they realize, i was reading over some of the numbers, i knew it was bad where you were standing, but that greece's debts are 160% of their gdp? that is off the rails, matthew. >> yeah. there's no doubt that greece's debt problems are astronomical. they spent years borrowing way, way more at low interest rates than they could ever repay. you speak to ordinary greeks and they say give us 200 years to pay these debts off and it's not going to happen. why are we trying? why are we trying to couple these services when we know we're never going to pay this money back. >> that's fascinating. 48% unemployment. you know, we're talking about 8% being astronomical here. matthew chance, thank you. thank you for that. 16 minutes past the hour. snowy, icy start of the work week in the south and midwest. it is downright cold, rob marciano. >> winter is here, guys. good morning, it's monday in the middle of february and we're finally getting weather like we should. here are pictures out of west texas, amarillo, lubbock, seeing a decent amount of snow yesterday. five, six inches in some spots, enough to shut down roads and cause accidents. similar scene last night through kansas. here's shots out of wichita, where snow has been falling and some crews were out dealing with multiple car accidents in that state. and the snow now heading through oklahoma, even parts of north texas, getting into arkansas as well. cold air has settled into the eastern third of the country. don't have to tell you about that. it was a chilly weekend. 20s right now as far south as the florida panhandle. here comes the moisture. rain in louisiana. north of dallas. across the red river, getting into snow. winter storm warnings posted for arkansas and the snowfall we expect to see, four to six inches in some spots, but stretching into chicago and the good news with this system is it exits the mountains, we're looking at a decent amount of snow pack that continues to build thankfully out west. new york, you got winds, travel delays there in the morning dallas maybe delays and san francisco and los angeles, your next round of pacific storms heads into the west coast. back to you. >> rob marciano, thank you for that. still to come on "early start," heard of this? >> well, that's just the point here. the police have asked for a hold to be placed on all information on what was found at the scene, what sort of contributing factors there might have been to whitney houston's death. we're told this is something common that they do in high-profile cases. at the moment, officially at least, it leaves us all with the barest of essential information about her death. there was a lengthy press conference from the county coroner yesterday, but what we actually were able to take away from that could be summed up in a few seconds and we have that for you right here. listen. i'm sorry. we don't have that sound here, but what they were telling us was that there was no signs of trauma and no foul play, so again, just the bare essential information and then telling us it's going to be six to eight weeks, well over a month, before the toxicology reports come back and we have an official answer about what might have happened here. >> david mattingly, thanks so much. it always takes that long. this is not a particular unusual case. want to show you a couple of these newspapers. sort of distressing. do they remain unconvinced? >> exit polls indicate the same thing. look at all of romney's big victories and when you break down the enrance and exit polls among the severely conservative using his term from cpac -- >> we're going to talk about that. >> he still has an issue. the win in maine and the win at cpac did help because he had a bad week before that. they did help. they were like a band-aid to a degree. he still has an issue with those on the right, hasn't gone away. this didn't solve the problem. >> talked about two things that are important. i'm going to talk about one of those with joel, santorum pulling down on romney's victory because of that poll. >> that's standard procedure in all of these straw polls, that campaigns who want to win go out and recruit people and provide, you know, free tickets for them to come and vote. there's nothing wrong with that. that's absolutely a strategy. we just don't think that's a good use of our resources and -- but governor romney, obviously, you know, may have a different idea. >> so he's suggesting romney bought the cpac straw poll. you were there. is he right? >> yeah. i don't have any evidence of one way or the other, but i will tell you if you're spending a lot of time bragging about or complaining about the results of the straw poll, that's time taken away spent about issues and time taken away from trying to convince conservatives and voters that control delegates that you're the guy to carry the flag for. >> we're going to switch gears here and talk about the controversy over mandatory contraception coverage. the obama administration proposed a compromise, the insurers pay for birth control, not the employers. catholic bishops are not tie'll talk about it. >> look to paraphrase the bishop's letter this is a distongue without a difference, an accounting difference. it's not a compromise the president has doubled down. >> so this, despite a pew poll saying that 58% of catholics want birth control coverage, more than the average person, actually, will obama have to listen to the bishops and conservatives again, ed? >> there has to be a dialog to move this through at this point. but ultimately, what is it that the people want? we can have regulations and rules that say that there's exemptions but it doesn't mean that the demand isn't there. so, when we go toe to toe with policy in the house, the question is, do you want government telling you what -- government defining this or do you want businesses telling you what type of health care you can and cannot have. it's a no-win situation as far as the policy goes. bottom line, the demand is there from the people and we've got to find a way to give it to them. >> all right. so i want to talk about that severely conservative moment. romney's getting a lot of heat for that. apparently was an adlib moment andle lest's listen and we'll t about it. >> i fought against long odds in a deep blue state but i was a severely conservative governor. >> all right. here it goes. people like eric ericsson say it sounded more like a critique of conservatism from the left, some people said it sounds like a disease. paul, what do you make of that? >> you know, it's interesting. look at his speech a year ago at cpac and the speech the other day. he barely said the word conservative a year ago. this time, you know, with competition, with some severe competition from santorum and gingrich, he had to show his conservative credentials and he -- more than used that word over and over and over again. >> joe, you were there. what did you think when you heard it? did whitney houston drowned? they are looking into possible drowning and to that scenario as the cause of her death. officials completed the autopsy but waiting for the toxicology report for that to be complete. and that could actually take months. in the meantime, a couple of websites have different varied reports. tmz say that water was found in her lungs although the coroner is not commenting on that. radar online says the prescription medications were found in her hotel room. the definitive reason will come from the kor noner. david mattingly is live in los angeles with the latest. david, it is not unusual after a death for toxicology reports to take weeks and sometimes months and celebrities make no difference. there are labs that are overloaded. so until that happens, we're just not going to really know, are we? >> reporter: yeah, zoraida. a number of reasons. the first one is is that greeks are so angry that they've already endured two years of very harsh austerity cuts, standards of living on the drop of a cliff in this country. unemployment has risen to nearly 21% between ages 16 and 24. 48%. so, you know, public service has been slashed already. what are now being told is that they're going to have to endure years and years of further, further cuts. and that's something that deeply us from traited about, deeply angry about. you're going to see the minimum wage in this country which is what most operate on, frankly, be cut to about 600 or so dollars a month, which you can imagine living in a european capital isn't particularly cheap on that kind of money. it's not food at all. it's not easy. basic necessities aren't going to be easy to buy. hospital budgetses are going to be slashed, public services are going to be taken away, even those ones that remain. and so people are very, very angry that this is not the way forward for the country. they didn't want this to pass but, as you mentioned, the government felt it had no alternative. the alter tive is articulate bid the prime minister in a sort of kay chaotic collapse. >> is the violence increasing? he's all smiles in this video, but i don't know, could go either way. we'll find out later on. you're watching "early start." we still got to talk about gas prices. ashleigh, why they may keep going up through the summer. and what a could mean for president obama as he looks for term number two. welcome back. bit by bit gas prices are creeping up again. we're expecting them to creep rising throughout the summer. >> i feel like we could tape of our newscast dmt last ten years on this date and have the same headlines. it's turning into the big sticking point, of course, for the gop candidates on the campaign trail. they're talking to the president on this. let's bring in christine romans in atlanta with the straight dope on this one. you always know what the issue is, why the story is what it is. it's a little different every year sglts. it is. and you're right, what you're talking about, ashleigh, what you're complaining about is that annual ritual of transferring from the winter formulation of gasoline to the summer form place r lags and you head into the driving season and gas prices move higher. but this year you have gas prices already higher than where they were last year. you could be heading to $4 a gallon in some parts of the country. right now according to aaa, $3.51. a year ago it was $3.12 right now. in 2010 it was $2.67. that's real money coming out of people's pockets so you're feeling it right now more than you did last year, more than you did the year before. in part because the economy is getting better, in xart because of that seasonal stuff we talk about every year. also, you know, there is a big issue going on with european crude oil right now. and some european crude oil is used to make gasoline this this country, too. they're watching a conflict between sudan and south sudan. their watching iran. they're watching a whole lot of different events in the middle east and around the world that are causing prices to go up there. and everyone is saying prices will continue to move up in this country. look, the lowest prices are in denver right now, according to the lumburg survey. the highest on long island, $3.82. best guess is that through may you see these gas prices continue to move up, you guys. >> you know, i always wonder, we used to say, well, it sure is bad here but if you were in europe, that is awful. are we catching up to them? >> we're all going up on a curve. they do it in liters and they have more taxes. when you look at the united states at how differently we're taxed in different states is a very big wide variety of gas prices. when you brings it back to what it means to this president it's amazing. on the campaign trail what you're hearing from gop is how high gas prices are up. 84% or something. that's true but because the economy has been improving baan because of some of the other things going on in the rest of the world. the president making the case for the payroll tax cut, making it permanent, he uses rising gas prices as an example. people need an extra $40 a week in their paychecks because of things like rising gas prices p. he kind of takes this thing the gop makes as a nig negative and uses it to his advantage. >> some cities the tax rest so high you're going to see beyond that $4 a gallon. >> no question, yep. >> crazy. >> that 40 in your paycheck won't cover -- it will only cover half a tank. >> christine romans, live for us in atlanta. thank you. aheard on "early start," the death of whitney houston, we have all the latest details and a special guest as well. joe levy, contributing editor with "rolling stone" is going to talk about her legacy. you're watching "early start." ♪ are you still sleeping? >> jennifer hudson moment was extremely moving. she was moved. the crowd was moved. they had been waiting for this all evening. even though at the start, as you said, ll cool j led the crowd in prayer they were waiting for that specific moment, that tribute. and i thought jennifer hudson did a beautiful job of it. you know, no one can be whitney houston. the good thing about what she did last night is she didn't try. she paid tribute in her own voice, a voice clearly influenced as so many female singers are by wlit any houston. >> were well said. we have had a lot of divas before whitney houston, aretha franklin, diane ross, but a lot of people areal aing her the first diva, none the less. what made her different? >> what made her difference, it's interesting you mentioned aretha franklin. she was whitney's god mother. she came from musical royalty. people learned by listening to her records. whitney could learn from aretha herself. the difference between whitney and the singers who came before is she did what she did with a pop, jazz, r&b sophistication. she wasn't gritty. that wasn't her thing. what she established for every female singer who came afterwards was the mountain top. she is the influence, the the key influence on everyone from mariah carey to lady gaga. it's really quite amazing in that way. it's a generation of singers who came after who really owe what they do to what she established. >> you know when i think of her, joe, i think of elegance and grace. but she, you know, had quite a troubled life. she talked about her demons in public. in 2002 she said the biggest devil is me. i'm either my best friend or my worst enemy. of course, there are talks about her drug addiction, her drug abuse. was she still facing her demons? she was in rehab for a while. what can you tell us? >> she was in and out of rehab. and anyone who knows a family member or friend who struggled with addiction knows this story. addiction is extremely difficult. drugs don't care about your level of sophistication. they don't care about your talent. and they don't care about your wealth. they want your life. >> we're taking a -- looking at a picture right there. maybe you can shed some light on this because we were talking about this. this was, you know, just this past week. do you know what was happen ing there? there was blood on her leg. a lot of folks were talking about this. >> yes. i don't know. these pictures were snapped when she was exiting a pregrammy party, i believe, on thursday night. and i don't know the specific details. i will tell you from my experience that there certainly are moments when pictures look a lot worse than they are. there's a crowd. someone's trying to get out of a club. people are yelling and things look worse than they are. i will also say these pictures don't look particularly good. >> whitney sold 117 million albums. as we're looking back at her life, what will her legacy be? >> the legacy is the songs, the the legacy is the way she transformed those songs. what's amazing about her singing is that she takes songs about heartbreak and makes them into triumphs. she transforms what she does and takes a sad song and makes it into a joyful song. and really that one key lyric, you cannot take my dignity from a song early on, that's a signal moment for her. that's what she's communicating time and time again. she's taking all of that vocal vir os city, that incredible technique and putting it in that emotion, that sense of human triumph. >> i can't let you go without talking about her daughter, 128 years old. there were reports she was taken to the hospital. she was married to bobby brown for 18 years. if he was on the road and didn't return until today to los angeles. what can you tell us about that? >> i can't shed any specific light on it. i can say that he had a concert commitment the night that she died. he chose to honor it. i don't think this is shocking. i don't think we should read too much into it. they were divorced. at this particular moment what i would say is let's be respectful to the family and assume that bobby had a commitment he needed to honor and got back to his daughter as soon as he could. >> and do you know anything about bobby kristina and her condition? we're taking a look at her picture there at the hospital. >> well, what we were told is that she was taken to the hospital suffering from shock, exhaustion. the typical emotions you might experience in a moment as charged as this. because, remember, this is not just a death in the family. this is the death in a hotel with one of the major events, really the major event right before the grammys, about the transpire. and you also have to consider, what we were told was that whitney's body could not be removed from the hotel because of that party going on. this was a very high-pressure, shocking situation for a young girl, for a daughter to be? >> interesting question. one thing he has had trouble doing throughout this process is generating momentuno mem tum. he came off a big win in florida and generated the momentum. looking to cpac results, 38%, he's been in this race longer and spent more money than anybody else. what it really tells you is that 62% of the people in that population is unconvinced that he's the right guy going forward. i think at this point he has to give up hope on momentum and hope enough op these people stay in long enough where he can split the vote and get enough delegates to go forward. >> paul staeinhauser, newt gingrich, there's talk he is running low on dough. he is now, according to the "new york times," having to focus on donors rather than focus on voter '. strategy has been all along, wait until super tuesday and see what happens in the southern states but that's march 6th and that's a long stretch from that. >> he's in california today, too. the real reason he's out there is to fund raise, a lot of republican money out there. he needs that cash to keep going and to make it to super tuesday. his argument all along is the is on the conservative alternative to mitt romney. you know what? rick santorum kind of stealing the thund ter last two weeks now that is making newt gingrich's job tougher. that money may now be drying up. so trouble for newt gingrich no, doubt about it. nice touch there on "don't worry be happy." i remember the movie "cocktail." >> it just came to me on a whim that this would be a nice 11-daybreak if they could take a break. it may be 11 days away, mr. steinhauser, but i can't wait. michigan and arizona, 60 delegates that might be up for grabs on one night. and here's the thing. romney's got an edge in both of these states. and here's why. in michigan, he was born in detroit. okay? here's a nice edge, first of all, in the national poll. he's ahead by so many points. look at him over santorum, 34%, 22%. let's talk about his edge in michigan. born no detroit and his dad was the goter in of that state f forrers six years. in arizona, senator mccain's endorsement in that state and that little aspect of 11% of 2008 gop primary voters being mormon. that looks good. but ed, i have seen things turn before. in minnesota he had a great endorsement in pawlenty and didn't carry out that state. in arizona, gee, could it go the way of colorado where he also had a huge mormon population and he couldn't pull off that state, either? >> in south carolina he had mickey haley's endorsement and he couldn't pull it out. he's got humps to get over here. michigan is not a win or take allstate. santorum is competing there so he could put a dent in his delegate lead. he might win it. 29 delegates he could really use. the problem he's got with conservatives, same problem he's had all along is that running against -- running is as the not obama candidate is not good enough. he's got to state what his conservative credentials are. he hasn't been able to do that short of saying he's severely conservative, which is severely weird, i think. >> severely weird, okay. one word, this is the game we like to play. zoraida and i have been having great sport with all asking y'all to weigh in with one-word answers. i'm going to start with you, joel. is this next 11 days time for vacation or time to dig in?
