Casey in the Sunshine Band some Lionel Richie on the way. Some Amy Winehouse some a cool Saturday is a Sunday morning the final. Over the next 55 minutes so I'm going to give you some clues on from those clues you got to work out what the final song is I'm like can tell you it got to number one in the U.K. An American chance in 1987 and it was written by the San Francisco songwriter Rick no was on the New York based Island Shipley and if he choose Michelle Phillips from the Mamas and The Papas on the perfect song Why to day Warren on backing vocals but what could that song. Be revealed before 6 o'clock this morning. And then join the race here for your breakfast show. And then of course from 10 o'clock. Me and I take it on Monday and leave. You so when the clues. Needs to come and. He's coming. So. It's drawing on the. This is the martyrdom show on the B.B.C. Across the West Country for your Sunday one off been to the circus you know ever since I was a little kid I used to love going to the circus get inside the big top and immediately you can smell the candyfloss on the popcorn and you can hit excitement people cheering while I've been to the circus Vegas which is on at the designs for a couple of weeks you can find out later in the show what happens when I venture inside the big top Also coming up tomorrow night is a wonderful event than that we the curious in Bristol and it's involving the planets so I'm going to say so far but you need to see. What happens on the A Coming up next a comedy legend joins me he's got a big show coming up in Philly next week you. Need to. We'll. Is the wonderful voice of Amy Winehouse and you know on no go Well luckily for us my next guest is very very good he's the best in his price range so wonderful pullin. You well some day morning a lot of mornings when you are morning and evening man and afternoon you are every day man. Just around. Well you have put on way to my have a look at oh yes why don't I know all the good life so the good life I'm leaving might know the reason here is this coming Friday what a wonderful show want to serve the voices of a royalty Yes and it's at the bar club in film absolutely so go do it in the voice of Pete Dixon do it. For Sharon's heart I go to you done it then I know I'll just step back just go back a bit go back I am a far way I know that's a do. You fraud I go for far chart below 0000 you're voracious 0 for. Storing your stocks from braceros gold star but it's. Very good but you have to say that would I might oh you just did it for THE POINT good it sounds like a great show it's going to be pretty and make something for the whole family can join in so it's a funny show it's not just Also anything I say yes some are self and obviously And Steve Hewitt who don't really quest is brilliant and he is even better on radio you can see as it is. So if just to remind people should know who he is you know he's a very good friend of mine we've known each other for many many many many years and he was the guy that had the offer lark a character the old man awful all he loved author of. Yes And then he did the in the finals and I mean finally did they Simon Karen Senator yes he did and they were many Yeah well yeah so that's all people remember for that as well but he's just a brilliant all round ventriloquist and a top lad so was SIMON CULLEN city to get to be in film this Friday you know what this recently that he's actually axed a sacked Simon he thought I mean it's gone he said Simon How can you do that because he can tell you you know because you go but yes. And then we've got a very special vocalist as well we got out of the Stacy Christopher who's been a bit of musical interlude to the show to its own authority then Exactly and we were very much looking forward to it so yeah I come along. From the about oh well what about our. Interest as I say that might be a local thing yeah market bad. Back up or a couple make a break from. Yeah so your doors open at 7 so stand on Friday be a great night and lost a bit of entertainment for Artie for the whole family so you and Steve go back a long way there absolutely back in thinking about 2000 when we would meet up always and always number and he had my number and I withheld my number one day and called him and pretend to be Japers quali did you hear what that's I like she did like that she was probably like stepped in to told dad that you need to and talk a bit and at each OK and Jimmy temptation of introductory she's still she's. Coming might come in you have just come in so much like I have a question of a way so she's really like when you can she can eventually quit if she doesn't much like she's not come to and it's like I know yeah OK Thanks Joe Thanks might as well because it's what you just can't get talky can appreciate life and. Oh thanks thanks Joe that's really kind of it really is properly but if I end up. I mean we did speak for about 20 years. Before I like Joe what a lovely choppy it was you know automotive and you did yes so he takes a special pillow with him everywhere he goes but you know it's a special pet. He takes it very seriously likes to be comfortable Oh yeah yeah he was lovely guy and we love talking with him is good fun so who else is going to be that this coming Friday as well Libya hope hope or e a potpourri lovely up at that smells nice lovely and oh. Papery of characters is there a chance Harry Hill might make an appearance and I think there might be a good chance that heavy is going to turn up yeah yeah say when you so he'll be there hopefully that and how it began as low a level 8 after I even did a little Megan so it was just be there yes he's in the room is that he's here and but as you know I try to mix up and said be some sort of cast of characters like you know boys would mean on the Japanese during the war shot. Of something for everybody like I said so it's caught in characters Scooby Doo and then all after the Family Guy and whistles can you or your very 1st impression I think it was probably a cartoon character probably Scooby Doo or something on a yeah so going. You know. And some of the classic Warner Brothers lot of the. Quiet I'm going to catch a web it. And stand it sort of stuff back in the day when I was in it well my brother used to do impressions as a kid and you used to live there and he did it professionally for a little bit as well but that he didn't sound like anyone who was a very good but sad to give up but Jimmy cricket was the 1st when he did so when I grew up I tried to sound like Jimmy cricket just come here and there's more and then you know you have the left on the right foot in the right to look at something as far as Jimmy cricket but. I couldn't progress from Jimmy cricket every other impression I sounded like sounded like Jimmy like that or Frank Spencer wasn't anybody did Frank Spencer. Going to be eligible. So yeah so it was sort of start a fight out really and just laugh it really is good fun you know good bet and being me you know. We could be whoever you want to be exactly so you have to practice then SR get the final go over and over no repeat of that. I practiced normally when I'm driving in the car my own so if you see me driving to a traffic light campus. Berthing again he's got a new version going oh. Yeah is that the same. Impression that so the support in the Michael McIntyre and. It's just harder to find new characters or victims like what I'm really I think in there and the political ones I'm not that video we think it would be a blind eyes only since Tony they will. Be black you know. I am called Boyce Johnson's right but you know. Robert. To do him well yeah what's wrong. With money question we'll talk some more about this wonderful show school voices of R.T. This Friday about cabin film. Oh absolutely this is sweet music you guys. Great you know if I'm awfully sweet soul music and no money is for the soul joins me this morning the comedy impressionist extraordinary. Life it is very early for you you know I. Never have been never have been that's woman in my business because we generally work at night we are not. So later in the day work and I guess being like about pirating I was never a vampire for it I'm going to take no I've got. Wonderful this coming Friday night there's going to be a lot of fun it's a variety of variety is very popular at the moment it seems are making a bit of a come to be a bit of a dirty word in a bit of a dirty word variety but I think people latched on that people do want for writing that's pretty Weiss maybe I like to think that something like Britain's Got Talent is probably a bit more popular than the singing ones because the singing ones are. Singing often can and well no but I think yeah I think it's of coming back if we're watching that's so when Steve and I decide to put a show together we forward because someone's brought in his characters with the puppets and stuff and self to any person so that's hence the name there's a variety of them we like that you touring the world with it and we start off we start off here in Bristol because when I was doing Britain's Got Talent and even since then. Local people remember me or recognise me said when you going to do show in Bristol. Well yes absolutely and it's never sort of I got a few bits and pieces but you never seem to sort of like happen properly so that when we come up this concept of this do it in Bristol start off in Bristol and see how it be able to from there really so that's why I like a good audience down there and they can have a great time so some people say nah you know come to Bristol and here we are and here we are yes and you've been all over the world but there's nothing better than the West Country absolutely love it yeah absolutely love it we live in as you know Bradley Stoke which we love as well so we've got we've just got a lovely community out there as well up there just up a little bit and it's like handy for the motorway to get into Weston super Mare and Froome in the last the memory loss to show the other way exactly get to London an hour and a half as well exactly you know we do love it here and I'm very supportive of the you know when the highlights about even though it's 8 years ago can you believe it was that you said I want to Britain's Got Talent I know 8 years ago it's craziness but the support I had not just for breakfast but the whole of Bristol. Opened on the B.B.C. In the West we were there. Absolutely years ago Years ago I was never out of it was I No I mean. It was life changing for you the minute you were on Britain's Got Talent there was no because back then it was like 14000000 viewers I think the final and I think quite how much now but 14000000 people knew who I was asked to the fun of plastic in the Christmas special on top of that as well that year as well sort of just went crazy absolutely crazy. Still doing any my side of us and one thing you know looking to work you might live in the dream yes yes I'm living the dream and you still get noticed as you walk down the road people look at the over that not so much now obviously how hill was actually on holiday I mean this year in their lands are all they've got some nice of live music venues pubs but I you know if you know they're willing to share with their all you see a smart guy down in writing and you might as well just stay here in the west countries go abroad and then it looks like you're a. Done the local You don't like and you can see that the people on the outside come on in to get free drink and I saw stuff done. No you know used to not knowing who I was yeah that sometimes who potentially spending MY he didn't realize he was this guy was how he was a wife. Just getting up standing up in front the audience like. We're not there now so I did the voice as well as like he like this 18 and I'd say to anyone. Who doesn't get on radio but I was about gulping not. Because if you got a favorite impression is it going to be how you feel. Varies sometimes how he's up there. Massively into Family Guy Oh I love Family Guy hang you know way have you heard the departed to where I said Baird don't worry about the Pentagon. How do you quote a good impression of Peter Griffin doing the Hula-Hoop whether. There's an issue because. Any Well I mean I heard. Well yeah. Well who needs to watch from the guy you know when you can just. Let it go they're not really because it's like could take of the word. You mentioned how you heal the you from quote a relationship with our hill as well and yet we did yeah he when I did the prince got suddenly going touch me and the story goes and when I was on the program and congratulated me and then we've done a few things since then we did a thing on Channel 4 called back whatever happened to Harry Hill and he wanted me involved in that so I saw played him in reenactments Yeah and then we did the hero movie which is great was an artist remove the star you want I.M.D.B. 9 I am a whatever that sounds Bob I want to. Institution there we go walking there was 4. Which was great and then yeah we saw a map a few times at a college and. When does love you like I Love You Man wonderful will continue to excess people should come and support you this coming Friday night all starts at 7 o'clock goes on to the early hours of our club in film and just a few limited ticket still available is there is by him by him thank you. C.B.C. Something anything interesting. What a chap it is the wonderful Paul Berlin now I get on with the Final Solution got to number one in the U.K. And American charts in 1987 the song was written by the San Francisco songwriter written owls and the New York based at and ship play and the song is about peace of mind and it's also partly a love song the video was directed by the American actress Diane Keaton He created a new more glamorous image for the singer who is known for work as the lead singer of the go go juice who could sing a baby and what is that song. All be revealed before 6 o'clock when Johnny Ray is here for your breakfast show for your Sunday morning. Going to talk about the permits next. After this from long over. Yet. To. Come. With. Yes. Let's. Let the. Feeling. That. With me. And all night long somebody that loves a bit along all Richie brings back a childhood memories Pollio morning to you moaning to you take a look at the line Oh. Right that bit of hello maybe. More great music like that still to come with me Martin I was on the subject of great music it was a 100 years ago that holds the plough is was present of course shaped by an astrological understanding of the planets this groundbreaking piece became a mainstream classic but this is what politicians talk about what would music inspired by current palmistry science sound like in the hands of today's composers where you can find out tomorrow night we the curious him and it's going to be a great night Polly isn't it yeah so I mean the planets is one of those big bits of classical music lots of us will know some of the change in. Popular one. The whole suite. Inspired by Miss all the G. And astronomy so absolutely nothing to do with the real science we now know. We were approached by a young composer called Sam bored Ollie who said hang on a minute you know it wouldn't be amazing to take what people know now about the planets and see how that might influence today's composers so that's what we've done what a great idea this is a top top I did this modern technology all these rockets go into space telescopes we know more now than we ever knew but we still only know a fraction of what is out there lonely Yeah I mean it's been a fascinating experience so we've taken a composers they've been paired up with scientists who've basically told them all there is to know at this point amount certain planets and you know the range in what we know is huge Miles we're working with someone who looks after Curiosity rover we can see pictures live video you know it's amazing what they know about Mars Venus is an awful lot further away we know very little you might get some breaking news is there life on Mars. I think we can safely say there isn't. Going to come up with a big screen to me that would be good when I. Would be interesting to listen to this in a 100 years time and compare it then as well well it would and to know what people might have found out yeah so it's all just sort of markers in history I guess you know and we've got some stellar composers you mention about 8 of those are there are 8 there are mixed. Several classical composers there's a jazz trumpeter called yells are made there's a fantastic sort of soul jazz an R. And B. Cellist called I on the way to JOHNSON So you know we kind of covering a wide range of musicians in that mice and when you come along it's going to be curious which is an incredible build and you go in and you find out things left right and center but you'll be immersed there aren't you yes so this is performed by the legatee quartet who are really well known for doing invent. As things with a standard string quartet they are going to be positioned all around the audience and the guys at the curious to get me creating these life of the planets and it's not just overlooked we're in the Curious as well because it is quite an interesting place it's a fascinating place but I'm not sure how much will be open It may just be the planetarium so just. When you go inside there you've got this dome or Ranger you just feel like you're in an unearthly sort of place I love the fact that you know they've got an astronaut as you go into the planet now and there is like you know some of the NASA also you Tom it's great and your culture we should be going to New through this yet John Cole sure may be known to many of your listeners wasn't one to me is a real space fanatic Yeah absolutely loves it and he very kindly has recorded the intros to each of the planets so you've got a little guide to what we now know about the planets. But for each piece of music in John's very own inimitable way as a few there's a few voices in there if you expect our kids yes one of the best for the Impressionists of our time yeah it's quite frightening facts of the matter with Winston Churchill in there maybe well he's covered the you know some of the big names in astronomy and astrology if you like astronomy and astrology you know I have to say I didn't know very much and this is just being fascinating yeah I mean truly fascinating reliable enough for me and it's really wet my appetite to find out a bit more constantly learning new things our way yeah and the enthusiasm and passion from from the scientists is really contagious actually and you just realize this is such a new frontier every time there's a bit of news and that happens almost every week there's a bit more news yeah there's something going on and you know now I'm really listening and I'm picking up on that so you don't have to be an astrologer to fully appreciate this wonderful piece of music and the he's wonderful journey you don't I mean the scientists have provided the composers with this money you know bits of information images you knowledge and the composers have gone away and digested that and come up with a really wide range of music and the idea is you just sit back in a lovely comfortable planetarium seat or look at the beautiful night sky and see maybe it is a planet let it take you away or I'm feeling relaxed just thinking about it now feeling all floating. So we know it's really really popular I mean the 1st show sold out she had put another show on this is right you know I mean they are small venues but we were really thrilled the 1st show sold out very quickly and we put a 2nd one on which will follow the 1st show and will also have a pre-concert talk for that one as well as a scientist and composer maybe a few tickets left for the very determined most and you are taking this on tours won't you we are what we opened last night in fact in Greenwich and that again we've had to do 2 shows because the 1st one sold out Monday in Birmingham on Tuesday. And after that it's going to be available online on our website. That you'll be able to listen to that for 12 months also looking at taking this in Mobile dimes to schools. Also website pricing wonderful What about the moon do you know how they create know this is what I feel Tell me what I've learned. You say well you should know that so the moon was created when Earth on another planet collided Yes you know however many billions of years ago and the deputy that was left over from that collision became the moon and all sorts of nice cheese well. Here's our money expert guy and good morning the scene radio Bristol and B.B.C. Some the Saturday morning between some of. Hello involved how I hope you saw some of the microscope and it's not my in-laws What are you guys I want to bet I can't imagine you being a bubble robot I don't see that somehow this is guy Philip. Philip is this if you don't know a distant relative. One you couldn't care less about clearly weekday morning some find the most extreme Actually that's probably not for radio the radio still N.B.C. Some say. Joe is back tomorrow from 5 o'clock now you get on with the following or some was show some of the got to number one in the U.K. And American charts in 1987 it's all about peace of mind it's also partly a love song and the video features an appearance by Morgan makes and some of the British actor James Mason who the singer married the previous year does that get away. This was a seniors breakthrough hit in a in the U.K. And was the only charm top with or without the google it was because he was the lead singer with a go who is not singing a. Song got to number one in 1987 Any ideas. You know my. Little. Reason we. Stood in the city. Hall. Meetings with my new leader who will remain in the you know. In the heat in the I. Mean in the you know the yeah. Oh Billy Joel river dreams. Have been in the book and in the middle of the dines in Bristol Yeah. And there's a big top this weekend all the way through for the next few weeks. Yes I've been to the circus where much David. Martin good morning welcome to circus Vegas and oh and you have really bought the glitz and the go I'm to the dead and dying absolutely Well our tagline is it's like Vegas on wheels and I'm We deliver inside a tent and we deliver outside the tent so here on the downs and as you can see we 5 authentic American trucks lined up at the front and also people passing by every day see all the glitz and glamour and be just behind us we've got this massive huge American box office all the flash colored lights. Clowns Showgirls it's all on this play here at the art of zones and you really have captured the Americana feel we've got some Disney characters we've got some wrestlers that. Claims this is Vegas still Oh absolutely it's Vegas on wheels and as you can see behind the ticket office we've got our 4 year 10 that are massive the top with the Stars and Stripes the colors of the American flag so it is it is authentically American teams and all the performers have come to us this year from their I mean the national cast with them all performed in Vegas at some stage so obviously we've got the American team going on we've got some of the best most thrilling exciting out. Ever seen in the country but they are happy for me in Vegas at some stage so now we're walking into the the tent so this is this is obviously where people come and I report a show or we go over circus shops you know we've got circus bar we've got a lot of circus rides carousels you got to have a beginning right if you want and then of course we go inside to the main tent and there's a lovely big sign above us that says entrance which is illuminated there's a lot of light bulbs it was and there is a lot of. Tree generators running at all times it's glitzy it's clamoring to get what you expect it's what you expect in a circus Yeah and it's what you expect from Vegas and any idea how many lightbulbs I've actually no idea you're asking the wrong guy you know I'm not an electrician I can live if you want. And then when you come inside there's lots of glitz and glamor and sparkles as well absolutely So this is this is the 1000 seater and the style being top it's plush we're going to heating system even in the 10th sun like we mustn't come in at 745 shows you know it's nice and warm in here you know which a lot of people don't expect you know wherever you see in to be topping of an amazing view of all the seats even the rings are tiered So even if you will soon be running so you're slightly above the personal way so wherever you are in this tent you have super view of all the amazing performances you know we've got the carpet laid out again American colors it's a 2 hour show and we've got show girls what you'd expect from any Last Vegas production and the clones we have a clown but he's a very very nice clone how he's not what you expect he actually had been a real he'd throw to you Kate here. You know sometimes clowns scare people reason he's not that kind of a character people absolutely love him and we've had people say always are clowns the clowns and the newcomer see the show on that they love the guy I am amazed at the number of people that are genuinely scared off clients it's not this is this is a family show and people just he makes people laugh I wouldn't call him a traditional clown he's more of a look at comedy character you know he says that he will make you laugh What are your 252 or 92 he's going to make you laugh it is 3 in show it's edge of your seat it's exciting high in the roof of the top there you can see the high wire and there's a body there's a bike unless of course. These guys were Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey for the last 10 years at the free very peak of the act they walk across the high wire in a pyramid form there's no safety nets there's no launch there's no trick quite literally every performance they risk their lives you know and that's that's that's what service be exotic is it's something you don't ordinarily see as it's Vegas we have to have something really really crazy really really different every performance we drive a treat on Circus Vegas jeep of one of the cast if you do our hunger strike it's a it's an act of they have to see to believe again there's no tricks no gimmick you're seeing they're watching it happen like 5 meters in front of you it's incredible you know we've got all your favorites as well it's glitzy it's glamorous it's exciting. When our 1st U.K. Tour it's a really really really good show we've been selling out audiences through road U.K. So it is advisable to book early because everyone to see Circus Vegas do well on the subject is scary there's a massive great big blue ball in front of us start looks quite scary I don't want to know what goes on inside or let's call it that's describe it looks like a large Terry structure and it's made of steel and it's called the globe of death so what happens inside those motorbikes 1st is more of I go into the middle of it and raise around a 50 mile an hour and then we put a ringmaster in the middle of it oh and he raises around this and then we put another bike in there we can't get any more scary than that surely it's that and I'd only close the 1st half really imagine happens in a 2nd. If you want to follow that you think while this is just. What I think the guys and I were pretty special Yeah you're watching the river Thames they were they walk across in the pyramid they quite literally risk their life every show but they're highly skilled. It's what they live to do it's what they love to do and that definitely is just it's something credible and as a kid there were Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey for 10 years so it's not an order yet you won't see and you know circus and you go and they've been doing it their whole life down the generations as well absolutely that actually treatment rock and guys. And they have trained all their lives. To come here to Bristol to entertain the public Well we were in the stands at the moment let's make our way into the middle of the big hall which is a lot less of a chain as we make our way to. So welcome back to the martyrdom show on the B.B.C. Across the West Country deep inside the big top of circus Vegas for the next few weeks and the money charger it joins me this morning what a great show this is it's an amazing show it's thrilling it's exciting it's daring it's circus Vegas it's in Britain now you can't miss it yeah now you just take me through the big top and asked me look we can see all the seats all about C. In the house not about C. In the house you're standing in the middle ring now and you can see how close the audience get to the performers you know and we've got someone here joining us this morning and I'm about as close as you can get to some of the performers one of them who's got the most amazing glittery red and gold suit on Good Morning to you morning you good thank you and what is it that you do that's a silks Yes it's aerial act. Silks it's material. So very very artistic I hope so I think so yeah very dangerous Yeah I don't know if you've been doing it for more than 3 years like performing this act but what about the 6 would have been in the 6 will to a very long almost 6 years already I'm actually X. Professional dancer and they came to the circus so I changed my professional. Career and now I'm 6 years in the circus and you enjoy it of course. Yes lots of friends around you lots of camaraderie lots of his team beautiful places oh yeah too much really I am already confused a lot of people. France Yeah to many places of course many countries you know really last encounter living there we got some fabric here are you going to give me a. Lesson in what we do and maybe I can have a go myself yeah of course 1st of all to warm up really good of a stretch and Shelley of course warming up all your body to aging make your hands legs warm sometimes can be called This is not really good for your body for your working. Of course 1st of all your safety you have to be 100 percent in your capacity. And the full attention for 100 percent concentration off what you do nothing. Will make your attention you know to be 100 percent here doesn't matter what is going on in there in a tent screaming laughing this is not for you 100 percent attention on your work you know better leave out from the hill and about 95 percent attention span mode the 5 percent is distracted because there's a man on a big bike this just joined us good morning to you Yes good morning how are you you are OK thank you very very fast but you've got that yes. You do only Spike we do. Perform that we call the bluff of that. Performance with my part on myself inside was the very 1st time you ever tried to do it very well as well as many many many years ago about 3 they've been about 20 years over that. Isn't new for me you know I'm sure if I tried to do I'd want to be waving at the crowd as I did in the course if you do that you take your hand off the accelerator which is not that. Yes We call that centrifugal force we sure always being in the war by 50 miles an hour probably maybe 5060 that chain that depends very dangerous some got seawater planted on the end and a helmet anyway busy anyway it would have protection still Daniels. We never ever will be able to say it's going to be. On one corner. We'll never know well thank you for entertaining us with this incredible bike. Still Yeah yeah thank you there was a lot to see and a lot to do in 2 hours in that there is absolutely I want to introduce you to somebody else so this is Tommy ringmaster and I just just describe he looks like this is actually where Hugh Jackman got his idea for a great show and I think anyway this is Tom every master who keeps it all going during the performance obviously he has used the X. Good morning to tell me good morning how are you you are looking fabulous as well I love the look the glimmer of the shimmer the to keep up with thank you very much one of many of them on the show together try to try to try to keep it going keep everybody safe and attend to people sometimes have you got a favorite in the show this year every one of them force class that's like something you'd see in Vegas Yeah this is like Vegas on wheels.
