Today’s obituaries: Carlo Colombo loved his part-time job comforting grieving families
Updated Dec 22, 2020;
After retiring from Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., Carlo P. Colombo worked at Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home on Milton Avenue in Solvay.
That part-time gig was his favorite job, his obituary says. He comforted grieving families and helped them celebrate the lives of their loved ones. He loved it so much he did it for 25 years, the obituary said.
Colombo, 82, of Solvay, died Sunday, exactly two months after his wife Barbara’s death. In his obituary, his family thanks the staff of St. Camillus where he died “for being with our loved one when we could not be because of the pandemic.”
