Protesters make their way down Stafford St on Friday afternoon as part of the Howl of a Protest.
Two hours after tractors and utes started rolling through central Timaru, Small asked all participants to abandon their road protest and make their way to Caroline Bay.
The protest was in response to the impact of Government rules and proposed regulations, including the new Clean Car Discount Scheme, which will levy penalties on high-emission utes from January 2022.
Addressing a large crowd at Caroline Bay’s Soundshell on Friday afternoon, Small said participants were “stressed to the limit and fear what is around the corner”.
