TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Two Tigers, Leigh Van Zyl, and Alexandra Anttila, battled hard on the first day of the Roberta Alison Invitational. Van Zyl and Anttila started the morning off with a win over beat UT Chattanooga 6-2. As the day continued, Van Zyl beat Wisconsin 6-3, 6-4. “Lots to take and build on after a positive day,” said Associate Head Coach Tom Rees.“You either win or you learn, and today we did both. I’m proud of the competitive spirit both Tigers showed.”Anttila withdrew from the tournament due to injury, and Van Zyl ended the day with a loss to East Tennessee State.
