Ticagrelor Better Prevents Stroke in Poor Clopidogrel Metabolizers

In stroke patients carrying CYP2C19 loss-of-function alleles that impede metabolism of clopidogrel, ticagrelor was more effective than clopidogrel at reducing recurrent stroke in the CHANCE-2 trial.
