GREENFIELD — A Gill man held on attempted murder charges has been appointed a lawyer, and a dangerousness hearing has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 3, in Greenfield District Court.
Wesley Johnson, 64, will be represented by Alfred Chamberland, a private attorney who accepts court appointments.
Johnson was arraigned last week on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm without an FID card and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, according to a press release from the Gill Police Department.
Assistant District Attorney Ryan Scott handled the arraignment before Judge Laurie MacLeod, who ordered Johnson be held without bail pending the dangerousness hearing.
