Wesley Johnson, 64, will be represented by Alfred Chamberland, a private attorney who accepts court appointments. Johnson was arraigned last week on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm without an FID card and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, according to a press release from the Gill Police Department. Assistant District Attorney Ryan Scott handled the arraignment before Judge Laurie MacLeod, who ordered Johnson be held without bail pending the dangerousness hearing. ....

Body found in Connecticut River ID’d as missing New Hampshire man > Related stories NORTHFIELD The body recovered from the Connecticut River near the Route 10 bridge on Monday evening after being discovered by a passing cyclist has been identified as 43-year-old Michael Aldieri, of Hinsdale, N.H. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner had not yet determined the cause of death as of Wednesday afternoon, according to Laurie Loisel, communication and outreach director for the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office. First responders pull man’s body from Connecticut River in Northfield > Published: 7/19/2021 9:26:18 PM NORTHFIELD First responders recovered a man’s body from the Connecticut River near the Route 10 bridge on Monday evening. The man’s identity is currently unknown. According to Fire Chief Floyd “Skip” Dunnell III, firefighters from his department and the Northfield Dive/Rescue Team responded to the bridge at around 6:50 p.m. after a caller reported seeing a man’s body floating down the river, face down. “The body was seen by a bicyclist crossing the Route 10 bridge,” Dunnell said. After the Fire Department arrived, Dunnell said he saw the body about a football field’s length from the bridge, and advised his crew to be cautious as the body neared debris on the river. ....
