The NC deputy who shot Jason Walker while off duty won't be charged, prosecutor says

A North Carolina prosecutor announced that she will not pursue charges against Jeffrey Hash, an off-duty sheriff’s deputy who shot a Black pedestrian named Jason Walker on a busy road in Fayetteville earlier this year, finding that the Hash had reason to fear bodily harm and to defend himself.
